Griff nods Lokethos, taking a large swig of ale. Though he continues conversing with the rest of the table, his attention is focused on listening to Lokethos' conversation with the tieflings, preparing for the conversation to turn south.
Griff sees Lokethos at work it's masterful but seems lost on the group he's approaching.
The tieflings all look at Lokethos confused and more than annoyed.
"Get out of here drunk! We don't know what you're taking about," one of the red tiefling males replies with a grimace. He holds up his hand making a gesture at three people dressed in black seated at a table near by, they all rise. It's a half-orc, and two dwarves all look menacing. "Do you mind taking out the trash," the boy adds next gesturing at Lokethos.
The female tiefling pulls the cloak around her shoulders and says nothing as the guards come towards Lokethos.
Yuri nods to Griff, to draw his attention to the approaching ruffians. He says, "I believe that is our cue to be about our plans then. I'll meet you at the door." With that said Yuri, moves to the door with his wine. As he moves, he casts Message. As before his pupils shift to appear more reptilian as his sorcerous power manifests and reveals his reptilian ancestry. He says to Lokethos via Message, "Three ruffians approaching you from behind. I think it would be best to allow yourself to be escorted out, so we can deal with them quietly away from prying eyes." Yuri stages himself to appear as another drunkard at the doorway.
Lokethos looks at each of their faces, trying to tell if they’re feigning ignorance or are genuinely oblivious
Insight: 13
If they’re feigning it:
Lokethos raises his hands “Look, I’m just trying to do my job. If you’d rather explain to Lord Anselm why Carro has been left unattended, then feel free.” Lokethos casts suggestion on whoever he detected feigning confusion, and says “But if you just tell me where she is, and call off your guards, then everything would work so much better for Lord Anselm’s plan” (Wis save DC 15)
If they’re not feigning it:
Lokethos raises his hands “Look, if you don’t want to be associated with me when this disguise is on, then that’s fine, won’t be me who explains to Lord Anselm why Carro is unattended.” He then mutters under his breath as he is escorted to the door, “should’ve expected as much from one of Anselm’s sons”

OOC: Spider let me worry about pacing and read your private PMs. This is PbP it's a reactionary type of game. You can't post a bunch of scenarios in hopes they'll all apply that would be too much.
No performance none of the teens genuinely have a clue about what Lokethos is talking about. The guards are now on either side and flanking him.
"Come on buddy....you've had enough," the guards calls out.
The bartender then looks over from the bar as an eerie silence falls over the place. Everyone's eyes are on the tieflings, thier guards, and Lokethos' display of drunkenness which is still quiet believable.

Hustling the bard outside he's thrown in the muddy street. Disappointed in his treatment and the challenge of the task he dismisses the party and heads out of town. Yuri sees all of this and relates it to the party.
OOC: No worries y'all we'll proceed!
The tavern returns to a normal volume as the party settles into their table. The elven bartender comes over and sighs heavily.
"We don't need trouble here...," the half elf says with a nervous smile.
As he does the tieflings get up and leave the tavern, their guards flanking them.
The party now sits with a choice to make. Go scouting for Carro's possible location or something else entirely...
After relaying the info to his remaining comrades, Yuri takes a seat back at the table. He looks at his remaining companions and says, "Despite losing Lokethos' aid, I feel I owe it to Carro to seek her out. I believe Beag is correct and we should look about some of the Mardoon's holdings. I will not judge anyone harshly who chooses to leave to join Lokethos; but I for one will seek out our Draconic comrade. Are you with me?"
"Mmm, yes this is unfortunate, but I would like to continuing trying to find Carro. Should we tail the tieflings? Jophyra, that would be your specialty, I'm useless in such pursuits."
Yuri moves to follow the impulsive rogue with a smile. He thinks to himself, "She prefers action more than myself. We three versus the rulers of a corrupt town. It seems a bit unfair for them." He knows that he and his companions would search every bog in this horrid place until Carro was found.
Jophyra notices the tieflings piling in a carriage their guards hanging off it various places keeping watch. They seem to be heading north out of town.

Griff takes a moment to finish his drink before leaving the tavern. He follows at a good distance behind Jophyra trying to keep his companion in sight.
Yuri moves to follow Jophyra sticking to the shadows. The skills he learned in his life prior to becoming an adventurer are still second nature, such an efficient learning environment were the streets. You learned what they had to teach or you became the lesson for others. Yuri was always an apt pupil.
OOC: I need stealth rolls from Johphyra and Griff. If you're attempting a roll worthy task its best to roll anyhow and I'll agree or dismiss the roll per the situation.
Jophyra is about twenty feet ahead of Yuri as he comes from the tavern. Yuri then steps directly into the lantern light flicking in the storm above the tavern door giving the three guards on the carriage now about thirty feet ahead full view of himself before he tried to duck into the shadows where Jophrya, hopefully, has hidden herself to pressure them. The guards seeing Yuri come from the tavern peeks their ire as one shouts to the other to 'take care of it' and they jump off into the street as the third remaining on the carriage then pounds his fist atop the carriage roof alerting the driver to hasten their exit. The driver then urges the carriage horse faster and the carriage quickly lurches forward and then out of sight around a bend in the main road leading north out of town towards the mountains.
OOC: Jophyra is about fifteen feet from the two guards now brandishing weapons. Stealth roll we determine sneak attack round for Jophyra and Griff. Everyone roll initiative!

OOC: Lokethos it's one or the other. I don't do if/then statements, pick a point of action and we'll continue.
Jophyra is still unable to see the three guards for the tieflings.
Yuri's deception is noted, no one seems the wiser.

Didn’t want to leave in the middle of a scenario, but I think I’m gonna bow out. Gl folks. Just not clicking with this group or the railroading
