Frenzied by the smells of battle, Hilda's giant lizard charges forward at the nearest orc, attempting to grapple by pinning the orc down with his full body weight. Strength roll:17
Hilda is grateful for the reigns on the saddle and manages to hang on despite the sudden lurch. Seeing Symon rush forward to help Wilm, she casts Sacred Flame on the orc her lizard seems to have taken a liking to, attempting to deal non-lethal damage. Damage6 on a failed dexterity check (DC 13).
He gets 3 fails, but if he gets hp, he automatically is raised up, and the fails are erased from his record. If he suceeds 3 times he survives, if he fails 3 times he dies.

So... he makes a save which is then unimportant as he gets healed right after. That’s why I was curious why we were waiting on a save
Because it's his turn and if he gets a 20 he's automatically raised with 1hp, so then he'd have 8 (i just want to make sure we do this right, and he doesn't get skipped.)

No problem, but it gets kind of confusing.

If he fails, is he dead? Otherwise, didn’t he just get healed?
