Hi, I'm new to the game. I like highly Customizable Characters, Homebrew and will put very few restrictions on the players. Think of me as a glorified storyteller. Each Character will start out with a pair of bagpipes, a kilt, and be proficient at playing the bagpipes (not that it will matter) on top of all their other equipment. Please Introduce your character below, (a basic overview and a link to a character sheet please.) They will also be assigned a pet (or they can pick one out... They may have to mod it, run it by me, I'll probably approve it.)

Rangers are the best, and have always been the best
Story based with lots of combat, not just mindless fighting, it all leads up to something big. It's going to be a quasi-medeval tale, built around a highlands clan, most of whom were slaughtered by half orcs. The few remaining clan members will be on a quest for revenge- ostensibly most of the characters will be humans, from the clan, but it's not required, they could be close friends or mercs. You can roll for stats or use point buy. Feel free to use any homebrew spells, weapons, pets, etc. just run it by me.
That is just fine. If you want to add some homebrew attacks or pets from the backstory I'm Ok with that, just make sure the conditions and stats are clear o i can buff or nerf them.
The Idea for creature i had was that of a dire hedgehog. it would tank damage and distract while my character (forrest gnome) would deal with them from afar.
Wilm has fought in the highlands all of his life, warring against other clans and defending his people against outside threats.
When he was little more than a boy he rescued what he had thought was a full-grown owl. it was injured and he nursed it back to health. As it grew though he realized it was not an owl, but a giant owl. He learned some of the Giant Owl language from it, and is able to communicate basic ideas with the creature. They bonded, as he brought it back to full health, and soon they were best of friends and companions. Wilm sometimes rides the owl through the skies, but often the owl just aids him by scouting from overhead.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rory Ian McLeod III O'Lewis is a disgraced scion of an ancient Highlands family, he is an unrepentant kleptomaniac, who has been banished from his clan and his inheritance. Well most of his inheritance anyway (more of that in a moment). Somewhat of a ladies man he is more a 'jewelman' - he has a passion of glittering gems of any sort; his pet requires them to keep from running rampant. As to his 'pet'; The one thing left to Rory Ian McLeod III O'Lewis of his inheritance is 'Lady MacBeth', a banshee, also his 'pet', the one who likes gems. Like all ancient Highland families, the McLeod's have a banshee, well had, as they figured out a way to palm it off on Rory when they gave him the boot. And 'pet' might be a too generous and comforting word to describe 'Lady MacBeth', she is rather unsettling to say the least, even making Rory a bit queasy and he is familiar with her.

Name: Hilda Race: Dwarf Class: Cleric Background: Folk hero
Backstory: Hilda's clan had close ties to the human clan and regarded the humans as kin. From humble beginnings, Hilda had become a local hero in her dwarven clan over the years and she is known for riding her pet giant lizard into battle. Following the destruction left by the half-orcs, she has vowed to seek revenge.
Can you make a character or monster sheet for this? Also after @treewy makes their character and pet (or i can volunteer one...) we will begin the campaign.
I am now done. Sorry for taking so long. I went with a different approach and created Duncan "the mad pipe" MacDonavan, a "bard" (barbarian with magic initiate[bard]. He will later take a bard level on the first level op) charging headfirst into the fray.
As for animal companion i would like him to have a Dire Hedgehog: https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/819418-dire-hedgehog I dont know how powerfull you want the pets to be regarding buffs/nerfs, but it might require a boost/Nerf in hit points/AC or the spiked skin trait
Also would there be way for him to concentrate on spells while raging? Like disadvantage on concentration checks while raging?
Kellen Macgregor is a proud member of the clan, ready to explore the dark and wild world of magic to help his clan drive back those murderous bastards!
Valor Bard, and wrestler once I get him along a ways.

Character will follow soon. I am thinking about using the UA revised ranger(beast master) if that is ok.
This is a map of a portion of the world, expect more tweaks to come.

solid! Where can i find the Giant Eagle's Stats? They're kind of important if you're going to have it and be able to use it in attacks.

Also attached to his character sheet as an 'extra' the Giant owl is a standard creature after all.

As for the giant owl, buff it's INT to 13 and it's strength to 16. Give it a beak strike attack (2d8 + 3) and include it in a multiattack.
