Nuté looks at the proprietor with a confused look. He thought that was a very strange comment to be directed his way, seeing as he hadn't said a word since he got here. But choose to believe it was due to the dark ambiance of the room and ignored the comment. When the half elf directed them to the table Nuté gladly took a seat across from him, ordered a tea and tried to relax.
Arrila takes the drink, surprised, "Oh, well thank you! I really appreciate it, you didn't have to." She takes the drink and joins the group at the table
Leosin waits until everyone is seated, watching Durnan. Once everyone is gathered, he turns and addresses the group. I do hope Durnan didn't put you off... don't let him get to you. He comes off as unapproachable, but he's a big softie. And damned smart, too. Wish he was still in position for this crisis...but I digress. I see each of you got my letter. I am Leosin Erlanthar, of the Harpers. As you all may have heard, there has been a significant uptick in dragon attacks recently. But it goes much deeper than that. So deep, in fact, that Faerun's factions are trying to come together to stop this crisis before it's too late. That's what this meeting is about...and it's why you've been called here. You are all powerful individuals. Even if you're not as famous as the Light of Lathandar or the Giant Killer here, our agents are everywhere, keeping an eye out for talent. Your names were all submitted by an agent who knows you and your deeds. He shakes his head. We are in crisis mode, and we need all the help we can get. Will you attend the meeting?

“Well, I suppose since I came all this way, I might as well,” Wheeze says with an overstated stretch and yawn. “Are the other factions also bringing in talent?”
Thank you, Arilla. Leosin shakes his head. No. The Harpers are sending out scouts, and the Order and the Alliance are sending out troops to help with the refugees and the attacks. As far as the Enclave...well, gods knows what they ever do. Your names were put forth to the other leaders, and they agreed to meet with you.

"Is there more information to be had about the threat before agreeing to this... meeting?"The question posed in a very matter of fact manner. "Don't get me wrong, I'm in regardless"realising the sternness of his initial outburst, he corrects his inferred intention.
Taking a seat and nestling in, Anylladjusts and listens in to what Leosinhas to offer.
The half-elf nods grimly, before speaking up. His bright face to begin with now a little stern with the gravity of the situation, "I am glad to hear the refugees are being looked after. I am happy to attend this meeting though, in truth, I cannot help but wonder what sage advice I can offer." He chuckles lightly before playing with the amber orb on his necklace and scanning the room to see if other patrons of the establishment are responding/responded to the tremors...

Leosin nods. Fair enough. But to address your question, you, Anyll Sungold, have spent your life helping the poor and downtrodden. You've honed your natural abilities to a razor's edge, and you're exactly the kind of person we want for this team.He gets a twinkle in his eye as he says, Plus, there's a small fortune in gold if we can actually pull this off.
I can't go into too much detail, especially not here in such a public place, but I can give you some background. He leans forward, dropping his voice so that only your table can hear him. You may or may not know of the Cult of the Dragon. If you don't, the cult has been around for many, many years. It's always been full of crazy people that were always attempting to create dracoliches. Their ambitions have changed, however. At least, a splinter faction's has...a splinter that has grown quite large, actually. Their goal is to perform a ritual that will pull Tiamat, the dragon queen, into the material world. You can see why we'd like to stop that.

Leosin smiles at her. Well said. Any more questions before I take my leave? I promise you will be getting a full and thorough briefing at the meeting...now that you're all here we should be able to have it the day after tomorrow. Until then, enjoy yourselves at the expense of the Lord's Alliance here.

Quiet as a mouse, he slinks over and stands next to Leosin. Leaning in so as to talk privately. "Is there any way our, well, my presence here might be kept quiet? Let's just say there's a certain 'Tribe' in the Dock Ward that would be very interested to know that I've returned to Waterdeep. I can keep my own head down when needed, but this whole thing seems big enough that most every Guild and Organisation will be watching. I owe a debt of sorts to members of The Black Boar Tribe. A debt that would be detrimental to my health."
Leosin nods at Phidi's question. We are aware...we are trying to get a message to the leadership. I doubt they would want to provoke every faction on the Sword Coast for a little revenge. In the meantime, I would stay out of that particular ward.

Anyllis taken aback, rendered speechless even, but the honest truth of what his life may have been thus far. He sinks back in reflection if it was the right choice or not, a surge of unpleasant thoughts and feelings of times past gargling to the surface as he nibbled on a fried quipper...
Suddenly someone cried something aggressively he couldn't make out...

Nuté eyes widen at the mention of Tiamat. Despite his love of dragons he had no wish to see them bring her into this place. He remained mostly silent as his mind raced with a mix of excitement and worry about the future. As he was about to speak he heard the cry in Draconic and says Well I guess we have company. Suppose that tea will wait then. Nuté stands to confront their rude guests.
