Having counted along in her head, Velda determined that there was at least one more of the little buggers around, though she couldn't see him. Five against one were odds she liked, and as she reloaded her crossbow and set it down onto the rim of the cart to get a stabilized shot, she shouts: "Only one or two of them left at best. Draw them out by coming back here, we got you covered!"
Readied action: Fire at the first goblin that she can see

Velda reloads her bolt, and is slowly approaching the remaining goblin, stopping fifteen feet or so from him, and keeping the forest in her peripherals. "Hugs, hu? Why'd you try this? Are there more? How are you gonna help us? The road here ain't hard to follow."
Velda is trying to determine if the goblin poses any threat, particularly taking care to check his hands. Once satisfied, he slings the crossbow around onto her back to appear a bit more cooperative.

“Yes Hugs the goblin,” he says as he extends his arms in a hug like manner.
“Klarg said keep eye on road for dwarf,” he gestures to the horses “Hugs helps capture dwarf and human, then bring to Klarg in cave.”
He looks around, slowly, so as to avoid getting shot. “Hugs only know of 7 other goblins here. More in cave, down path. Hugs shows you safe way down path.”
You see his sword and bow in the woods behind him. His arrows are in the road and he seems genuine in what he’s telling you.
Cadence returns to the road and then does a twirl and then sits down in the middle of the road. She hums a tune and her head cocks back and forth. The goblin blood from each blade seems to drain away from the blades until they're clean and sparkling. When her two short swords are gleaming she sheaths the one at the small of her back and the other on her leg. The goblin and the rest of the group might not exist as she tends to her task. She turns and smiles at Gert as Fionn helps tend his wound. She then walks about the group, ignoring the goblin or any ongoing discussion, and while smiling she touches their clothes where they've been wounded, or gotten dirty during combat, the blood and soil fading from their clothes as she does so.
Once done, she grabs her backpack off the wagon and pulls it on, and begins cinching it tightly, glancing around to make sure things are secured well.
She twirls over to Peter. "Peter, Peter pumpkin eater, had a wife but couldn't keep her; he put her in a pumpkin shell, and there he kept her well." She grins, "Not you of course, just a few departing words for you and the horse. Thank you Peter, be safe through the Cedar."
With that she twirls over to the side of the road where the goblins had been fleeing and seems to just hang out there, quietly, looking closely at the leaves and trees. Pine circles higher into the sky.
Velda gives a nod at the information: "The others… Klarg… what's he want?" Velda is trying to determine whether their was a way to keep on the road without having to face more of the goblins, or whether it was better to strike their camp, while they still waited to hear back from the ambush. As one of the goblins got away though, the window on that second option was closing quickly.

Velda asked the right question, though. "Hard to say what is safer here: it could be a trap to lure us away from the goods and then attack, or an opportunity to clear the road before those pests regroup and make another ambush. Peter, we were hired to protect the wagon. Want us to go check that "camp" the little weasel pointing to?"
Velda steps up: "I got it covered, if ya want to take them out, no need to send anyone else."

Cadence, who seems to be petting a leaf on a tree says loudly enough for all to hear, "Did Klarg take the dwarf? Our employer is a dwarf. Strange coincidence."
(I just want to make sure you all realize this is a Haiku, I've in no way deserted the rhyming!)
"You do not mean they captures Gundren Rockseeker, do you?" That changed things, of course, no employer - no money and the whole escapade was all for naught. "Guess we are following the goblin, then."
"Fionn, what would your Lady tell you about a walk in the woods? Because if she does not like it, the wagon is on you and Peter. And we should check on the person that hired us."
Nova will put away her scimitar and shield when it seemed as though Velda had the goblin under control. It wouldn't stop her from darting over to her side. The half-elf would lean in to sniff around the goblin. She'd wrinkle her nose before moving off in the direction to sniff out his sword and bow and eventually collect the arrows.
Nova would start to notice the pain from her wound now that the adrenaline was subsiding and she was moving around. Remembering that she heard Fionn ask if anyone else was hurt, the half-elf will pad her way over to the redhead. She'll plop herself down at his feet, maybe even on a foot. "Yeah. One of them caught me." It was almost a pout. She may even let out a wimper if he touched the wound directly.
-assuming she's tended too-
Feeling renewed energy, the half-elf will bounce to her feet, plant a kiss on Fion's cheek. "Thank you kind sir!"
And when Caddie would come around, the elf may have ended up mending and cleaning more of Nova than she was expecting. The half-elf would inspect herself, turning in circles a couple of times, almost in disbelief. She'd stop before she got too dizzy. It was as if she had a whole new set of clothes. And did she take a bath? There was no water though? Nova would sniff at herself a little confused, but eventually would accept her companion's whimsical ways of helping her out.
The wildchild will follow Caddie to the tree line with the intention of searching for the trail Hugs was talking about, but would then get distracted by the leaf the elf was petting. Nova will let out an audible gasp looking at the leaf then up at Cadence, "Did the leaf tell you that!?" She'll snap back to her task of huffing out the trail, searching frantically for something to point her in the direction, without the goblins help. In case he lies. If she was lucky, maybe she could get a hint of dwarf?
Investigation: 8 if you want it. She'd want to keep the bow and arrows for herself if she could. Nature: 5 to recall lore about the terrain Using her nose perception: 24 to sniff out scents
As she'd putter about, Nova would think out loud too. "Do we wanna pull our cart off the road? Maybe camouflage it to provide some safety for Peter and his pumpkins?"
Velda, seeing the threat of more goblins chasing after them as enough of a risk, turns to her companions: "Fionn, stay with the cart and heal Peter, if necessary. Gert, Nova, keep an eye out for any more threats. Cadence, if you want to, come along." WIth that, Velda grabs the goblin by the scruff of his shirt and sets out at a brisk pace, being guided by the goblin's directions. She wouldn't much care if the others followed her instructions or not, but she didn't want to give the goblins with Klarg any time to act on the news of the failed ambush, and for that she needed to reach them as soon as possible to have the element of surprise on her side.
