Surprised to find a door underwater, Borax moves forward to inspect the door. He pays careful attention to the chain, lock and hinges to see if he can tell how strong they are. As he does so he mutters prayers under his breath, seeking guidance. (Use the rolls that you need from below.)

V'rekh gets out of the water and walks towards the door to take a closer look at it "I was not expecting to find a door here, it's interesting but I do not think we are going to find any octopus behind it." He scratches his chin and continues "maybe we could explore it with the others after we catch more octopi, what do you think?"
While Borax answers, he takes a good look at the door, trying to see if there is any symbol on it or the lock that he may recognize.
"Yes, I had been hoping that the little fish would be down here."Borax tugs on the chain as V'rehk inspects the lock. "This door intrigues me. Surely without some type of guidance, we would not have been led to this spot on the island. We could have been with any of those other groups, but we came here. I don't think we should let anyone but our companions back on shore know about this. Not even the ones who hired us."
After inspecting the door, Borax waits for V'rehk to complete his own checks before heading topside together.
(Faylen roll a Dexterity(Slight of Hand) and a Strength(Athletics) check)
(For clarification, the entrance to the cave Borax and V'rehk are in is about sixty feet down. There is an air pocket in that chamber, however, the door is in the submerged part of that chamber)
While Borax and V'rehk inspect the door they notice there are small holes, about the size the octopi from the coral and rock were using to hide, around the chamber. Additionally, Borax spots three gold coins scattered in front of the door.
V'rekh will shine the light from his medallion onto a few of the holes, trying to see if there is an octopus in any of them. If there are none, he will swim back to the surface to tell the ones there about the mysterious underwater door.
As Borax turned to leave he noticed the 3 coins on the floor. Without to much attention, he scooped them up and slipped them into a pocket. He would have a closer look when he got to the surface. “I’m ready to head up,” he says to V’rakh. “Let me know when you are done.”
Faylen punctures a hole in the barrel without anyone noticing. While a couple members from that team are frantically trying to patch up the hole, she swiftly grabs an octopus and returns to your team's island with the other group none the wiser.
V'rekh doesn't see any silver in the holes, but through them it is clear that there is a chamber beyond this sunken door.
You all reconvene on your little rocky island just as Faylen is placing her 'catch' in your groups barrel.
Faylen quirks an eyebrow at Uthred and smirks, depositing the octopus into one of the barrels. She wipes her hand on her pant leg and inspects her new dagger as she listens to the others' discoveries.
As the others reappear from below and mention something about a hidden door beneath the island upon which they stand, Jarrett perks right up and turns his attention away from the strange, octopi-like device he was currently working on. "A hidden doorway you say? Now that is interesting. Where is this door? I should like to see it for myself! That is something I can help with, not catching slippery, aquatic animals."
As V'rekh finishes telling where the locked door is, he adds "it would be great if you can check the door, I did not see any easy way of opening it." He then turns back to Borax "is there any shore that we have not checked for octopi yet?"

"I do not believe so. We would either be moving to another island or revisiting some of the same spots. I doubt it likely that the creatures there will be too responsive to us though." Borax looked around at the Faylen and Jarrett, "Whatever we do, we can not let the other groups know about the door."Reaching into his pocket, Borax pulls out the three gold coins he found near the door. He inspects them in the daylight to see if they are of any particular interest beyond their monetary value.

"These were in the cavern. Strange that someone should find gold of so little value that they would just leave it lying on the floor. Whatever is behind that door my be of much higher worth. I say we go back and try to open it up."
The mention of gold catches Faylen's attention and she darts closer to Borax, who is examining the gold.
"Gold, you say? And a mysterious locked door? Count me in to explore. Much more interesting, indeed, than these ink-making octopi." She slips her new dagger into her belt, casting a quick glance to the other islands, making sure their group is not grabbing any unwanted attention.
Jarrett grins. "You have my full attention. I agree, we should definitely examine this place more fully. How deep down must we go? I will do my best to keep up!"
ooc: how many octopi have we gatherred so far? 3? Most important: how far are we from the closest populated area. I am thinking about getting safely on board with 5 preys, and in some days buy a ship or boat and get back here
Uthred listens to all his companions, he crosses his arms, thking
Why, of all the persons, it's me who must make the rational one?! we are in dire straits if so
It is very nice you are all so eager to go swimming, nice indeed. I'd be interested as well but, remember, if we don't get back with at least some 5 animals, they leave us here.
Even if we find gold, what can we make of it?! what if we come back in some days...alone?! somebody else might find the door?! Maybe but, still, I dont want to die rich in here, and with the lot of you, nonetheless!
V'rekh hears Uthred's words and nods "getting back should be our priority." He walks to the barrel and looks inside "I count four creatures in our barrel now, it seems that only one more is needed to make sure we get a spot on the boat back. Maybe we can try the reef, while the others look at the door. But be mindful that I saw some sharks down there"
Faylen sticks her lip out at Uthred like a petulant child. "Not nearly as fun, but logical, sure. Let us grab another one of these slimy beasts and be done with it. Then, get on with the real adventure!"

"nice, where did you get that"???
And to the others
"found anything interesting?"

The only area your group has not explored so far is the shark-infested reefs teeming with octopi.
The coins seem to be worth a similar value to normal gold coins by composition. However, their mint seems antique and worn.
No other groups seem to be focused on yours at the moment.
The door is 60 feet down, with a pocket of air in a rock chamber near the door.
