How this might work is that all of you (the players), can gather yourselves up into a group - pick a path and I'll run you through it. The above modules are what I have in hard copy and will get an online copy once the game is decided.
Character creation: Player's choice (please list your method somewhere on your sheet)
Method I - 3d6 in order (reroll 1's)
Method II - 4d6 drop lowest(x6), and then place in the stats you wish
Method III - point buy using 29 points
Method IV - standard array
I will be around to help give ideals to what you all decide on as well as giving out character hooks.
Id be interested to play! Must the sheets be on dndbeyond, or can I make a form fillable pdf and link it to you(only using official stuff of course, but i dont own any of the books on dndbeyond)? If the sheets must be on dndbeyond, here's my character: https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/BlueBlazeXS/characters/31207756 (pointbuy). The character i would play if i had access to the books is a warforged rogue/artificer)
I think the adventure Id like the most is Out of the Abyss, with Curse of Strahd a close second. TBH, Tyranny of Dragons if the only one Id rather not go for, since I played it before.
Hi! I've mostly played homebrew games in the past so I'd be coming in new to these modules and would be happy to play any of them. Looking at the descriptions, I lean slightly towards PotA or OotA if I had to choose.
See link below for my character sheet (I used point buy) and let me know if there's any issue using U.A. in which case I will use a backup character (a rouge swashbuckler most likely)

U. A. is fine as it normally gets melded into an official book or adventure later on. What on the sheet is U.A. anyway?
To everyone: Thanks for chiming in and it looks like Out of the Abyss has won the player poll. So no need to have players meet beforehand as you all start off in the same cell. I'll need to do a little rereading and should have some info to help everyone with their backstories.
Great! I was interested in trying out the Psi-Knight so I was more looking ahead; everything else on my sheet is currently standard starting equipment/ etc. As for my background, I'm not sure if it showed on my character sheet but I tentatively have it as Haunted One so I'll probably need a little DM assistance to fit it into the story.
Wow how did I miss all this??? Never heard of a 5e Psi-Knight guess it could be a good play test for me. Haunted One huh? A couple days in drow jail should make everyone feel Haunted lol
Let me see.... tying this into your knowledge of Deep Speech maybe you were kidnapped at a young age taken by drow or grimlocks or the like and spent a couple years as a servant, you could have trained in secert watching and then imitating the duel drow style. Now you have been "sold off'" and are being taken to the City of Spiders.
I had been thinking of something similar related to a creature that used psychic powers but I like the idea of being captured by and used as a servant in the underdark. If it makes sense for OotA maybe I was captured by mind flayers (I think Drow or beholders could work too) and I'm either being returned after another failed escape attempt or being sold off after trying one too many times.
Players choice...
Princes of the Apocalypse
Out of the Abyss (looks like the winner)
Curse of Strahd
Tyranny of Dragons

Hello, I’m willing to play, any room?
I re-entered sinsil's personal characteristics, let me know if you can see them.
Sorry double post, my old one didn’t show up, my bad
Yep and you would make four and with all the NPCs I think we can get started after everyone has a character they wish to play.
What starting level?

I won’t be able to join much if that’s okay but if it’s not I fully understand, I’m excited to join you all!
4d6 drop lowest

This will be pbp so as long as you can hop on and post every couple days we should be good.
Thinking lvl 1 to start makes it easier on the whole captured/prisoner aspect. Escape and you all will reach lvl 3
You mean bonds/flaws or height /weight?/ I don't see anything like those.

I haven’t played out if the abyss, or now the plot, what is it about? I figured it must be with drow
also, new link!:

So after a bit of rereading and looking over the characters we have, I'd like to offer Ryenthar the option to switch out Sinsil's background feature to Underdark Experience see if this works? https://media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/dnd/OotA_CharacterBackgrounds.pdf
still not seeing backgrounds // traits on any of the sheets (must be me)
Yes its about drow with some demon lords thrown in.
