"Cover me for moment. I just need long enough to recover my bolts!"Dern will definitely try to gather up any usable crossbow bolts he can find before moving on. The Dwarf gives a sneer as he unceremoniously tears them from from the Kobold he slew.
"We need to get moving, and fast," encourages Thia, looking around her at the group. "The guards won't keep those gates open forever. Sooner or later they'll close and I don't think we should be on the outside when it happens. If we can just get close enough, the guards should protect us with their crossbows. We'll have more protection the closer we get."
Thia has no desire to physically lead this group but she has no issues with trying to push them forward to what she sees as safety. She'll cajole and encourage and push but she's not walking down the road at the front of the party.
As the last Kobold runs off, Rogram drops the point of his sword to the ground and leans on the blade with one hand as he pivots forward awkwardly. To Yevele or Smoke, whichever is closer, "How bad is it?" he says of his back. "It feels bad," he hisses. At a diagonal from beneath the overlaps of the scales of his mail, blood is running. He shakes his head at any question of whether he can keep going. "Let's get to the keep," he says stoically. "Should someone search these two?" he says, waving a hand at the man and woman. "Maybe they have something on them that will tell us what's going on. Those two as well, I guess," he says, motioning to the slain kobolds.
Yevele will quickly look at Rogram's back, but, once the dwarf makes it clear he can make it to the keep, she says "Let's keep moving. I don't think we have time to search anyone right now." She will quickly move to the front of the group and take the lead as they move toward the keep, bringing Linan and Rogram up to the front so that the guards will hopefully recognize one of those two individuals. Looking at Thrax and Smoke, she will add "Let me know if anyone starts to fall behind, we don't want to lose anyone this close to the keep."
If they get to the keep without any more encounters, Yevele will remain out front with the crossbow wielding guards ready to protect them if anyone gets to close. When the guards start moving back into the keep, the monk will fall back with them.

Thrax sees the blood beneath Rogram’s armor and walks up and examines the wound. After a few moments he rests his hand on his the bronze emblem on his chest “Gond’s blessings upon you brother.” He hisses out the blessing through his tribal reptilian accent.
After tripping during his last attack he follows through into searching for his dagger on the ground. Trying to fake a 'i meant to do this'. After that he quickly gets back up dusting himself off and recomposing himself.
Responding to Rogram's request to look at his back. Well its not going to be pretty, we shall have to look at it within the keep. He says holding one hand on his chin as if he knows medicine.
One corner of his mouth goes up into a grin as thoughts fly through his mind. Ahh yes, It reminds me of a dwarf called Barmund Ironforge. The undying they called him, perhaps you have heard of him? He looks up clearly lost in his thought to invision the dwarf. His tail going up and moving left to right in clear excitement. He had many scars from countless battles, not a pretty fellow mind you. But the tales he had, wonderfull tales.. He once went...
Smoke stops as he is interupted by Yevele's 'Lets keep moving..'. He looks around getting back to the current situation a bit disappointed he could not continue his tale.
Once the party starts moving he will stay at roughly the middle of the pack, often looking behind but making sure he does not end up in the rear. Unsure how the local guards would react to a Tabaxi running after a group of locals during this assault he feels its best to run with or in front of them.
Dern hobbles on over to Thrax and Rogram where he surveys the area. As much as he hated to admit it and flee from the Dragon worshippers, there's no way they could take on the small army that has sacked Greenest. "Best be movin' on, lads. Stick around here much longer and we'll be swarmed!" Dern will then begin the trek towards the keep. He'll stick to alleyways and the sides of buildings or wagons and coaches. Dwarves aren't the fastest of people, and Dern isn't the fastest of Dwarves. His metal leg sees to that. So he is forced to take his time and plan out his movements.
Rogram closes his eyes as he feels the healing power flow to his wound, giving relief. "Thank you, and thank Gond," the half-dwarf says to Thrax. At Yevele's urging, Rogram stops unconsciously listening to Smoke's latest tale and moves to the front of the group as suggested to usher the group to the keep, looking back at the man and woman briefly with a look of regret. He keeps his sword at the ready, prepared for any further confrontations on the way. "Not far now," he says more to comfort himself than anyone else.

Rogram and Yevele lead the party, with the Swift family in tow, through a few small alleyways, avoiding the larger streets as long as possible. With the Keep only two hundred feet away, you come to an unavoidable intersection with a well in its center. Another pair of raiders, wearing leather armor and wielding scimitars, are rebuking a kobold near the well.
Thrax runs through the city streets and takes a position at the front of the group near Rogram and Yevele, he stands confidently with his hand-crafted shield and heavy armor, ready to withstand the blows of anyone who tries to stop them. Upon seeing the raiders, he steps forward and waves his arms in a ritual pattern he learned long ago. He walks with confidence as he closes distance and calls down divine radiance onto his foe.

DM, were the kobolds rebuking in another language besides Common?
Rogram joins Thrax and Yevele in attempting to vanquish the new kobolds. He raises his sword with both meaty hands, but changes his mind during the short sprint and turns his weapon and attempts to smack the kobold being scolded with the flat of his blade in hopes of knocking it out instead of killing it. No injury-inducing flourishes this time.

Running in the middle of the group he sees his allies already fighting once Smoke notices more of the raiders.
Taking his position near the Swift family he will yell at one of the raiders while waving his hands with palms forward. Give up now because its clear the only thing you have ever defeated are high expectations!
Smoke looks back to see where everyone is seeing Dern hobble up. He turns halfway and raises a fist to motivate Dern Come on Dern, show them the point of the bolts you carry!
Action: Vicious Mockery on the closest raider. (DC 14 WIS) on fail disadvantage on next attack and 1 psychic damage.
Bonus Action: Bardic Inspiration on Dern. For 10 minutes, Dern can add a 1d6 to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw.

Dern sticks by the Swift family as well, feeling his ranged tactics might do better to off threats before melee engagement becomes necessary. He sees the raiders yelling at the Kobold. Were they not allies? Seeing Rogram go in for the Kobold, Dern focuses on one of the raiders. He levels his crossbow at an undamaged raider and focuses. The last thing he hears is Smokes words of encouragement. They are the only sounds still ringing out when he launches his bolt!

Dern will stay put. "That's the spirit, Smoke! With your help, we can clear'em out!"

Raider DEX Save: 16 Raider WIS Save: 19
The raiders bring their scimitars to bear and turn to meet the party's charge, but Rogram smashes the kobold in the jaw and knocks it out cold before it is able to draw its own weapons. The first raider matches Yevele strike for strike, blocking her attacks before diving aside of Thrax's flame that descends where he once stood. The other raider is less fortunate; distracted by Smoke, the man doubles over in pain when Dern looses his crossbow and lands the bolt in his stomach.

Placement: Yevele is engaged in melee combat with one raider.

Thia stays close to the family, looking after the people who find it hardest to look after themselves. She curls loose strands of hair over each ear, revealing the upswept lobes, and mutters a rebuke against the more agile, first raider. "You can't dodge forever, scum. You picked the wrong side in this fight!"
Dern finishes reloading his crossbow and swings it around to aim at the raider not in combat with Yevele. "Ya filthy wyrm-lovin' traitor!"He shouts as he looses his bolt!

Raider WIS Save: 18Damage: 2
After blocking Yevele's staff, the raider stops halfway through his riposte. He falls forward to his knees, dead, a trickle of blood from the man's ear the only sign of Thia's magic. The remaining raider, eyes wide, shouts, "Who--" before cutting himself off and fleeing down a nearby alley.
The frantic sounds of the town replace those of battle once more. Past the small well, you see another pair of villagers make it to the safety of the Keep.
OOC: Each character has received 10 XP for defeating the small group of raiders.
As the last enemy runs off, Yevele grabs the dead raider by the arms, and looks around, saying "Can someone help me carry this body into the keep. We can search the body in the keep and see if there are any clues as to who is behind this attack." If anyone helps here, she will move as rapidly as possible toward the keep, hoping that Rogram can handle the unconscious kobold.
