An ordinary afternoon in Red Larch is broken by a tremor. A second later, four small children and the old cart they are playing on slide down into a sinkhole that suddenly opens. They disappear from sight shrieking for help. A distraught woman runs out of a nearby house and sprints to the edge of the hole, which crumbles away, spilling her in as well. More people run from other homes. Calls of “A rope, a rope! and “Get a ladder!” fill the air. All of you who where in surrounding areas to the hole.
A yellowish-green skinned humanoid with white hair in dreadlocks and a red shirt is busy pushing a cart of his own when the sinkhole opens. His eyes go wide as he sees the people fall in and he runs toward the hole, being careful not to stand right at the edge. He pulls a rope from his pack and throws it into the hole.
"Grab on to this - I'll pull you up!"
(Jedavii's pull/drag/lift capacity is 540 lbs, if that allows him to lift more than one person (or maybe even all of them?))
A goblin moves to the edge of the pit, though not so close as to cause any more of the rim to break away and spill him in as well. He looks around, trying to find a place to tie a rope to, as he pulls one off of his pack. "Someone want to give me a hand?" He asks the people at-large. "We should get them out before any more of this falls in on them, possibly burying them alive..."
The goblin wears leather armor, woodland garb, and has a scimitar at his hip. A shield is tied to the pack on his back and a quarterstaff is in his other hand.
A gruff looking Dwarf in old well-worn chain mail bounds over to the group gathering by the sink hole. Shock on his dark bearded face registers strong, "Aye, I'm here to lend a hand!" He moves closer to the white-haired figure working the rope and offers to add his muscle to the cause.
A dark chamber is about 30 feet below the level of the ground. It looks larger than the hole and extends into darkness on all sides. A heap of loose earth is piled at the bottom the children who first fell in are sitting on the mound of earth. The grab on to Jedavii rope as him and Si hoist them up. The woman is nowhere to be seen. As more people crowd around the edge. Some town elders back the of saying “Leave this to us, nothing to see here. Nobody can go down there!”
After helping the children climb out of the pit, the dwarf marches over to the town elders and speaks loudly for all to hear, "I am Si the Demander and while eager to offer my help, I sense a reluctance from you that disturbs me. Tell me about this chamber that so mysteriously appeared before us just now, and know there is a woman who fell down below who must still be rescued."
The dwarf called Si has almost black hair, has a shield (which is currently strapped on his back) containing the mark of the God Tyr, and he clanks around in an old set of chain mail. The dwarf wields a war hammer and hand crossbow and has the look of one who does not have patience for nonsense.
The elder bitterly replies “You must be mad to think there is a conspiracy based on the the shape of a hole. The elders will handle this.” He looks away from you as try’s to herd people away from the hole.
A human in his early twenties with short dark brown hair, wearing studded leather armor, with a crossbow holstered to the small of his back, and a giver of bolts on his hip, hopped off the cart he had been riding the last few days then stretched his lithe body taking in what would be his new home for at least the next few days. Red Larch was not the largest village the man had been to but it was a good size he knew he could make a fair amount of coin here.
"Thank you again for the ride," he said to the merchant driving the cart as he slung his pack over his shoulder.
"Aye was no trouble lad," the merchant answered back with a tip of his hat, "I hope to hear you play one last time before I moving on though."
"As soon as I find an inn that will have me I will be sure to let you know," the traveler replied with a laugh. After taking a few steps away from the cart the shaking started, people began shouting in the distance. Joining the growing crowd the traveler spotted the sinkhole he then made his way to two figures, an oddly green colored elf-like man and a stout dwarf, who seemed to have an idea on what they were doing.
"I'm not sure how much help I'll be but I will aid the best I can."
Without being able to see the woman who fell in, Jhazaal, the goblin, starts tieing his rope off to whatever he can find. "I am going in to find the woman." He tells those who have been helping. He simply ignores the elders if they speak to him, and starts to climb down into the cavern below.
As leap into the sinkhole as elders are shouting at you to stop, you find yourself in a small cavern. This wide irregularity shaped cavern has a floor of smooth bedrock. Damp dirt and stone, with tree roots protruding here and there, make up the walls. A five foot wide tunnel leads of to the north. A door with a rusty pull-ring stands to the East. By the stone door, a couple we’ll used cloaks and a water skin are on the floor.
Si nods to himself and looks over his shoulder at the sight of the goblin descending into the pit. He quickly marches over and proclaims, “Aye, there’s little to be gained from that lot. I will help you”.
The dwarf helps secure the rope and follows after the goblin to what lies below.

Si looks around impressively. "Bah. What a strange chamber indeed."

Jhazaal stands up, wiping the dirt from his hands. he nods to the dwarf that has joined him. "Seems like there are two ways she could have went." He comments, nodding to the obvious exits to the area. "We do know she was not taken out the hole above, so which way do you think?"
First, you see a area of dirt where the lady landed. You see a pair of footsteps that comes from the door that goes to where she land and you see two pairs of footsteps going back to the door.

You can see this elder knows more than he is letting on.

"Lady?" Jhazaal calls out as he looks for the woman who fell in before. he would dig at the pile of dirt, in case she was buried under it.
DragonDenn
After digging and calling for her, she does not respond and you can’t find her. The woman does not appear to be in this room.
Si starts to look more closely at the bedrock floor and dirt beneath him. "Perhaps we can find some trace of where she went."
