Nephis shifts a bit uncomfortably as he is surrounded by partygoers. He moves off to the side, casting a minor spell (prestidigitation) to attempt to clean off part of the paint from his clothes. Not entirely, but just to make sure it works - a square inch or so will do.
"Good to know. And thank you for the drinks." He replies briefly to the woman. Noting the newcomer and making a mental note to introduce himself, Nephis puts one of the bottles into his pack and takes a small sip from the other one, enough to see what it tastes like (and no more).

A black, raven-like figure comes out of the ship, with his head constantly turning at this incredible sight.
"Oh, um... hello. Wow, I have never seen something so bright after dark. Uh sure, I'll take one too." Kricam glances nervously around, more used to boggy marsh and swamp trees. He looks to the rooftops longingly to escape, but knows he must keep pursuring this lead, this mission, whatever it turns out to be.
Kricam will pass a small yew leaf over the glass, casting detect poison and disease to see if the drink are spiked because he knows he cannot trust everyone, even if he wants to.
OOC: But he does almost catch everything in a 30ft radius
[OOC: DM, Is the sight of races like Firbolgs, Minotaurs, Kenku and Tabaxi mixing in a city strange to Jaden (i.e., Does it happen in his own country)? If it is strange, does his book give him any understanding as to why such races (some of which are supposed to be secretive or loners) seem to be in the majority in this city? Just trying to work out if this is something unusual for this world or not.]

AKA: Phillip Berrie: writer, editor and academic thrillseeker—a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
Jaden has read enough to understand that this particular festival is called the Ishra Uuza. It is a holiday that is celebrated mainly in Amzu, but is known about in small sections from your homeland. 'A celebration of survival', dating back a thousand years, in favor of the lizardfolk goddess Fein.
As far as races, Jaden has only seen a handful in his life, mostly in the countryside. So this is a sight to say the least.
It is now midnight as the second ship arrives, the festivities had not died down in the slightest. (I want Eili, Nephis and Silver to roll Wis saves). Another ship arrives at the docks, this one carrying an Aarakocra. Kricam, as soon as you take the drink(you do not detect any poison) into your claws, you are swarmed by a dozen Kenku women. All of them cooing and chirping with delight. (Make a dex save)
Jaden, you are quick to gather your belongings so you can depart as well, but not before a large, rotund firbolg slowly stomps his way past you, two lovely women under each arm. "Outa the way, young man!" He cheers. He's wearing colorful, exotic robes and a small pair of circle, black tinted glasses. His grey hair is long and dreaded, ending midway down his back. As soon as the residents see this man, the streets explode with cheers. Many try to rush toward him, be it to shake his hand or hug him. He accepts sum, and denys others, no clear reason as to why. He then lets go of his escorts and then makes his way towards the center building in Veingo. All the bands have stopped, gathering their things and following him. Then a huge crowd of 300-ish people gather in the center road in front of the building.
Fascinated by this society that is so different to his own, Jaden quickly gathers up his gear, hefts his backpack up onto his back and gives the captain and crew of his ship a last farewell salute. Then, with unstrung bow stave in his hand to use as a walking stick, he follows after the firbolg.
Although he is interested in what is happening, Jaden is mindful of the late hour and so he will also be on the lookout for cheap accomodation. [OOC: He is hoping that any signage is written in one of the languages he can read: common, elvish and... orcish.]

Silver’s Wis save: 20
Silver sniffs at the drink before cautiously drinking it. She’s not thinking of poison or any such thing, she just always approaches unknown foods or drink cautiously before she decides their either delicious or disgusting. There is very little middle ground on this.
Silver half listens to their newly found contact, half scans the crowd for likely marks. She restrains herself from stealing any coin purses or targeting anything in particular, but if people are still hugging her uninvited she will use the opportunity to pilfer whatever seems easiest...

Seeing the important-looking firbolg and everyone seeming to follow him, Nephis would begin to follow him as well, moving towards the center building and attempting to be off to the side of the crowd. He would likewise look for inns or taverns to stay at as well.
Walking down the gangplank Kain takes in the sight's of this strange city. He had read about some of the denizens he now laid eyes upon but what was strangest of all is that it all seemed normal, and yet not all at the same time. Everything was just a little off to his own culture and background. Deciding that he would have time later to take in the sites, he strode confidently, if somewhat anxious through the festivities.
Kain was about to free himself from the evenings engagements when a jubilant dancer addressed him,
"Hello!" She beams, still bouncing to the beat. " You are here for Sunswall aren't you?"
Wondering how she new of his business he addressed her frankly, "Indeed I am m'lady, I have business with Mayor Vernfox Tailman of Sunwall. I am new to this village, would you please direct me." He knew he was sounding formal but the situation had taken him a little off guard.
ooc: I suspect I am on the other side of the world as many/most of you. Please forgive my delay in posting.
Nephis and Silver watch as a stage is quickly assembled directly in front of the building the firbolg entered. The mucisians gather around it and start to play low beat. It slowly builds up paces as with the crowd stomping and clapping with them. The pure energy in the area compels both Nephis and Silver to do the same. Then, the man of the hour took the stage.
The firbolg is now wearing, noticeably, quieter colors than before, but his dreads make up for it. Every inch is covered in multicolored rings and golden glitter. He's wearing an open shirt, proudly exposing his beer belly, with colorful patterns painted on it as well. He makes a quick motion with his hand, pink arcane trails following his fingers and speaks with a booming voice. "I NEED YOUR LOVE, VEINGO!!"
The crowd erupts with cheers and hollers. The band's all start to play one synchronized song and the firbolg starts to sing.
It's weird. None of you present can understand what he's saying. In that, you can't translate it into common words, but the feeling is undeniable. Every step, every sway, it makes perfect sense. At some point, Nephis and Silver just go, "**** it", and dance the night away. Silver managing to swipe 10 gold and 3 silver from the event.
Eili hesitates for a moment before taking a bottle. "Thank you," she says, and has a sip. It's about all she can take, however; she didn't drink much during the best of times.
Eili shrinks back when the dancing begins. She isn't sure what she was expecting, but it certainly wasn't this.
Eili, though completely foriegn to this type of music, feels the temptation building from a slight tap to her toes, and a small sway in her hips. A human man and a minotaur make their way to you, reaching out their hands for a dance. You almost reach out for them before...the mission...the reason you're here in the first place. You shake your head once to break out of the trance, then you shake your head again to the two men. They look disappointed, but respectfully bow to you and turn back to the crowd. The drink has a strong taste of honey. A little too strong. You turn 90 degrees to another, comparatively empty road and briskly walk towards it, placing the bottle wherever it seems appropriate.
Down the road you spot a sign that reads "Soale's bed" pointing to an open shop where a young human woman is currently cleaning the countertop, you assume it is a tavern of sorts. Jaden finds the same shop.

Kricam is astonished at all the attention, used to his solitude. Unsure how to take it, he will try to quickly escape the kenkus’ grasp and follow everyone else connected to Sunswall after the firbolg. He hopes they know what they are doing, because he definitely does not.
Eili approaches the woman at the counter. "Excuse me," she says, "but what do you know about what is happening over there? I've only just arrived, and... I'm a bit confused."
Kricam, despite his best efforts, is overwhelmed by the kenku women. You feel a dozen hands caressing your arms, torso wings and your beak. You are covered in paint and feathers(that aren't your own) in moments. With little to no effort, these ladies bring you to the center of this concert and, you're starting to feel the music. Roll a Wis save.
The woman at the counter looks up at Eili, looks her up and down, and smiles. "Well, guess you ain't the party girl type. That there is a festival going on. People feel themselves to their hearts content twice a year." She puts her elbows to the counter. "That'll be 10 silver for a room if you wanna get away from the noise."
Eili takes a gold piece and places it on the counter. "Yes, please." She looks over her shoulder at the festival going on. She wonders if she should ask the woman how she knew where Eili lived. But that is a question that can wait for a quieter time.
Kricam’s nervousness and uncertainty melt to the beat of the song. He has not felt this kind of freedom in a long time, with no worries or responsibilities on his mind.
The woman's eyes widen to the gold coin as she picks it up. "Wealthy sort." She laughs. "Right this way." She beckons Eili to follow her. She leads her up a few flights of stairs and walks down a hallway. This entire place smells of exotic spices and fruits. The woman stops by a door, puts her hand on the stone wall and fishes for a key in her purse. After finding it, she unlocks the door to the room and hands it to you. "I'll have breakfast ready in the morning if you're not in a rush to leave. Sleep tight." And she leaves. You enter the room and it is, very spacious. About 40 feet of space with two beds on either side and a doorway leading to another room. There is an exotic plant in the center on the room with four candles perched on shelves at opposite corners. From the open windowsill you can see the many colors of the concert peaking through into the room. You can still hear the music, but you're far enough away where it won't be a problem to go to sleep.
((Silver didn’t need to fail a wisdom check in order to spend the night drinking and carousing... just sayin’!))
Silver dances and drinks and ebbs and flows right along with the rest of the crowd. She doesn’t fight the spirit, just the natural sleepiness that eventually comes to her. But she wins that fight and parties with the masses until it breaks up... assuming nothing of import happens to change things, she finds a nice corner that’ll be shaded from the sun when it rises and take a cat nap. ;)
