At the edge of the wooded trail, Gling charges the bandits.
Gling, Ai'yrn, and Tegid, ROLL INITIATIVE!
Bandits roll 6, 12, 15, 13, Merchant rolls a 13
His enthusiasm bursting from his rivots, Gling gains inspiration knowing that he will rescue these maidens, giving him advantage on a role of his choosing.
At the low town docks, the band of pirates meets Johni thirty feet from the ship at the end of the pier.
The first of the two pirates confronting Jhoni swings wildly, rolling a 9/5(roll1/roll2 disadvantage due to dodge action). The second pirate is a slightly saltier veteran who rolls a 19/16 to hit. On a hit damage is 2, a glancing blow at best.
The scurvy lot are too busy eyeing the former and rightful captian of their new home to notice the sudden flash that erupts from the far end of the pier. One of the pirate's charred remnants fall to the water below, leaving two facing Jhoni, cutlasses at the ready, and three more behind them, eagerly awaiting their chance to bring their new captain his first bounty(holding their action to attack if possible).
None of the pirates seem to be paying much attention to Koric, who is about five feet behind Elelyel. The pirate captain(Jhonis former first mate) stands aboard the deck of the ship and glares murderously.
(DMOOC:Koric, sorry if I missed your initiative post, if I don't see one I just put it down for last. After you, it's a new round of initiative.
Seeing you talking to the Blue Boys earlier, and now seeing them associating with the strange creature before him was apparently too much for this guard to handle. It was probably his day off, and he switched duty with a friend so he could have the weekend off to go to the festival on the best days. Now he has had enough, and demands some normalcy from the lot of you. Being not much older than the oldest Blue Boy, his demands for order are not well met. More rude gestures from the boys, which TlakShik mistakes for symbols of friendliness and begins to immediately replicate to the best of his ability. This sets the guard into a shouting frenzy. He lowers his spear to a defensive position and begins to call for reinforcements from the nearby barracks.
TlakShik, Mallus, and Elric, you have time for one turn each before the reinforcements arrive, please roll initiative to determine who goes first and tell me what would each of you like to do?
Merric strikes the drunken bully, forcing the air from the mans lungs, as the Tiefling manages to grapple the man. As the man's friends think again of interceding on their friend's behalf, a large lands firmly on each of their shoulders. Before the men can react, the large Barbarian smashes their heads together, sending a loud "CLONK!" noise throughout the inn. He grabs the drunk man, hoisting Righteousness along with the man he shouts in the man's face:
"You'll not give the town's guard any trouble on my watch, foul braggart!"
Shaking Righteousness free from the grappled man, he cocks back his 22 inch pythons and shot puts the confused drunk through the side door to a street side patio where other patrons are eating, spilling several tables and chairs in the process. He turns to the three of you and says, " perchance, would any of you have a spare silver that I might replace the meal that those men so rudely interrupted? The irony that he himself just destroyed at least nine meals while removing the man does not escape you, but you wonder if it might not be best to ignore it.
Mool walks over to the man, and without saying anything hands the man 3 silvers and pats him on the shoulder. The barbarian smiles a wide grin at Mool and thanks him. Mool then turns to you and says, "The temple must put out a crier at once, to find all those willing to join our quest to slay this vile creature. When our forces are gathered, we shall decide an appropriate course of action. The dwarf throws a few more silvers on the bar and turns to the barkeep. "This should cover the damages. Feed our new friend over there well tonight too, lest he get 'hangry' ." Mool chuckled as he turned and walked out the door, signaling for you to follow him.
For following the law of the land and not drawing weapons in a bar fight, you are each awarded 100 experience points.
(DMOOC: Congrats, you just completed the first official encounter of the game!!!)
You follow Mool out the door, where looking down the street to the north gate, you notice the guards are being called for a disturbance of some sort.
Righteousness had to pat himself off, and remind himself of food and rest later. for now, he follows Mool. "Helm preserve me from nutty drunks....." he muttered under his breath.

Nivlen follows Mool and company out into the street. Upon noticing the shouts and guards rushing to the North Gate he quickly states, “Mool, gentlemen, I beg your leave but I must go and assist in the quelling of this disturbance.”
Unless stopped he will begin running to the North Gate, glancing in precaution to the skies to see if that is where the threat is coming from. He will also be readying his light crossbow while in full sprint.
Merric dusts himself off as he follows Mool out of the inn. "Pity we weren't quicker," he mumbled, "Coulda made a small bet on the big brute winning that. Was always goin' to happen." He chuckles and continues on his way.

Turning to the elf, Elelyel , he nods to the "old" captain, a slight smile on his lips. "I take it that he's a friend then?"
(( Held action: If Elelyel attacks the pirates, then do so as well...if the one she attacks does not die, then target it, otherwie target the nearest. Wiil use Fire Bolt ))
