Brunella does not want to leave his new albino friend so soon: " What about Musharib? He is an albino, which means he does know the perils of the jungle better than we ever will. We should hire him, I say."
Turning to just the group so the albino could not hear, Irommek said in a hushed tone, “I ain’t gonna lie to ya. I’m inclined to help Musharib. We now have two guides that have offered to waive fees if we help them. Who’s to say which one will be the easier side quest or the more noble effort before we get to our original quest to capture and destroy the Soulmonger? Maybe Felix is right, we should see if there are any better guides at the other inn and then make our decision...Hmmm, maybe we test these two with getting recommendations on where to get gear and what they know about the airship to see which one gives us the best advice while we make our way to the other inn?”
Turning back to Musharib, Irommek smiled and asked, “We are not ready to take on the jungle just yet. Can you tell us the best place to get good gear for a good price? We’ll need weapons along with any other gear that you can suggest to survive for an extended time in the wild. We also heard of an airship that was downed on its way here. What do you know of the airship and its cargo? What do you suggest my brother Dwarf?”
OOC Yes, now it is noon, you can certainly go back at the first Inn later.
Kaya's House of Repose is a far more quiet place compared to the Thundering Lizard. Fewer patrons, calm music played by tabaxi ministrels. The smell of food is really good. Deer meat must be being cooked with potatoes in the oven. If asked about guides, two are present now at Kaya's. Two women one by the name of Eku, in light blue robes, the other is called Salida, in full adventurer's gear.
Musharib tells everything he knows about how to find equipment:"Brother, I can tell you where you can find the gear you need. Few block down the road, there is the Red Bazaar. There is where the Prince Merchants sell their goods."
"I dunno about airship. Ships that want to fly are stupid ships."
"I will wait for you here, brother and sister. Together, we will get what is ours back."
Oniss leans back in the chair and says to Ironmmek;
"Either gold or sweat will be needed to get our guide it seems. I admire your dedication to your own, if you wish to exchange services with your local Brothers you have my support. Let us wait till our other companions return before making any deals. They may find guides of better skill or price."
"Felix, my man, can you enquire about the merchant ship?"
Gertrude approaches Eku, admiring her nicely adorned light blue gown.
"Hi, we are a group of travellers in need of a guide through the jungle. What do you charge in exchange for your services?"
Gertrude also asks the three questions and uses her insight to evaluate the answer she hears: 3
"Good Morning to you, my lady. I am Eku, a guide and a seeker of the greater good. If I may ask, what is your purpose in the jungle? Not to sound offensive or arrogant, but I will be working only with those of good-hearted inclination."When she speaks, the sincerity and the good intention of Eku are so evident that they might be worthy of admiration. She answers correctly to the three geographical questions.
"If that is the case, I'll charge 5 gold pieces per day. No gold will go into my pocket. Some I need to pay off the merchant prince Jondal, the rest I'll give to charity."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Felix will nod.
Felix: "Of course."
Felix will look around then inn and then head to the inn keeper.

Felix: "Excuse me, I've been hearing rumors about a fallen airship called the Star Goddess know anything about this?"

OOC: [Forgot to add the perception roll]
The innkeeper here in Kaya's House of Repose is a tall, well-dressed chultan man with incredibly long and curly moustaches. " Airship, you say? From Halruaa? Well, I heard the rumour, but nothing more. If the ship is indeed crashed into the jungle, I am afraid only luck can help you to find it. "
[Felix, roll a d100 for one more rumour. Also, if anyone desire, roll a HIstory check for a bit of knowledge about Halruaa.]
history15 to find out more about Halruaa... (guess at least the direction might help).
"Eku, we are hired to find the artefact that prevents magic healing/resurrection and that kills people now that were revived previously. So only good in our hearts! Would you be able to reduce your cost for this cause and also if we agreed to help you clear some of the temples/ruins from evil? We would love to work with you at some point. I admire your beautiful soul very much. Please excuse me, I am sent to also talk to the other guide here in the Inn."
Gertrude nods and smiles warmly, turns around and walks over to the other guide.
"Good afternoon Salida, we are looking to find a guide to take us into the jungle. Do you know these landmarks(asks agreed questions)? What is the cost of your guidance?"
Felix: "I heard some people were expecting it to arrive do you know who they might be?"
Felix looking at this man we'll see if he's lying.
Insight: 13
OOC:[ Being from the Sword Coast he's never even heard of Chult and he's been in prison for years. He don't know squat. :P ]
"No, I don't. My guess would be employees to the merchant princes. They are always eager to do business with the fancy halruaans."The moustaches man seems sincere.
"Are you headed for the jungle to find this ship? You know Chult was once a playground for a green dragon. Her bones mark the location of a hidden treasure trove. If you travel to Mezro and head east across the Laughing Gorge, then south toward Kir Sabal, you might stumble on the dragon’s bones and earn yourself a place in the history books!"
"But do not ask where are those places because I have never been there."
[Note: of course, rumours are just that: rumours. If they are true or not, it is for you to discover ;-)]
[I am uploading these rumours on the campaign page, in order to keep track of them.]
Salida is just delighted as the goliath asks for her. She licks her lips at the goliath's questions at which she answers correctly."Oh good morning my dear. I saw you speaking with the a-stick-in-the-arse woman there. She led expeditions who never came back. You be the judge. I charge five gold pieces per day. Fair price, knowing you'll live at the end of the expedition. Where are you headed exactly?" She licks her lips again as she has done talking.
Salida does not quite inspire trust in Gertrude. She may likely be as experienced as she claims, but maybe other motivations are in play.
Felix appreciates the space given to him.
Felix: "Yeah, and thanks for the space... uh Anyways lets head to this next inn, yeah?"
Felix sighing looks to the rest of his party
Felix: "We haven't seen the other inn yet, plus we still need the appropriate gear right guys?"

"Albino, how far is Hrakmar?"
Then turning to the rest of the group:
"I'll go and question the guides found in the other Inn. Felix, do you want to come with me? Ask around about the merchant ship."
OOC: How many guides are pointed out to us in the other Inn? Can we question them and return to the others before the end of the day?
At arrival at Kaya's house of Repose, Gertrude scans the room - and orders food.

Felix: "Irommek we will take a head start well meet you at the House of Repose. I'll be waiting for that round you own (giving a friendly gesture)."
