OCC: I do not know much about northeastern or inner Faerûn, so you guys are welcome to help and correct me when I goof.
PC(Duggan): Mistakenly understanding Dimscale's comment as a compliment and seeing Aloush's eyes show that now his mind is focused and that he captured Lillianna's attention he continues: Oh! But I can understand if youselves are in a bit of doubt about this wild tale of Wizards and Demons, I meself had trouble when first heard of this tale as well, but I did a bit of investigation and nosing around, mind you! He moves to a stool precisely located near the bar and the far wall of the tavern, where he hid his explorer's pack, crossbow and handaxe, grabs a scroll case and goes back to the others tables, pulling from the case some scrolls and placing them on top Corvus and Aloush's table he, with no hint of drunkness, says: In my investigations of this keep I found records in the Town Hall of the land owners of the states near and around this town and found the last registered owner of the Keep dating back to 1420 DR. The name Coskun Benli is mentioned as the last owner of the keep. The name, clearly Turmish made me travel to Alaghôn to search the registry of births in Turmish, since this Coskun had enough riches to buy such a big stake, he probably was of noble birth and his birth would be recorded. I wasn't wrong and as I suspected he was a Noble son of Turmish born in 1358 DR that studied the arcane in Ordulin from 1370 DR to 1381 DR. Stopping to walk to the bar and get another mug of ale, he comes back to the tables and continues: When Coskun returned to Alaghôn it is recorded that he ventured in one of the ruins under the city back in 1385 DR and supposedly died there because no record is said of his return. After a precisely long silence he continues: But! Oh there must always be a but! I kept looking at the records now searching for information of survivors of the maze and I wasn't surprised when it is recorded that in 1398 DR a dirty and badly hurt man with ripped robes and a mad look in his face came out of the Maze carrying a bundle of cloths in his hands and just walked south of town never to be seeing again. And that bring us to the records of the buyer of the keep, the town scribe wrote that the man carried himself with a imposing posture, was dressed in expensive robes but his look was of a mad man. Since the names are the same, and the chronology being right I have no doubts that he came out of the mazes, probably found something from the time of the Reign of the Wyrm. I didn't find anything linking this Keep with anything important but the records of its existence goes back to the founding of this town a few centuries ago. The stories of the Wizard conjuring the succubus started back in 1425 DR and the keep is registered being abandoned since 1438 DR, so about 61 years abandoned give or take a weak. Having told his tale, Duggan sits at the stool between Aloush and Corvus table and Dimscale table and with a satisfying smile orders some food from the tavern keeper and waits the others to say something.
Lillianna listened to the tale with great interest.
"So it has only been active just recently?" She paused, looking thoughtfully toward the door. After a moment of contemplation, she turned back to Duggan and asked, "Has there been unusual activity in the city as well? Maybe caravans of people passing through? Perhaps the talk of slavers?"
PC:(ALOUSH)" I ,dear Lillianna, believe that we should go there do some research of our own..maybe , just maybe something was left behind after they left the place , maybe a clue , something that triggers my gift that would help us out in resolving this mystery? I mean either that or we do not meddle with things that are bigger than us... What say you?"

PC (Dimscale): Seems very interested in the newfound information Duggan began spitting out and his talk of research on the subject. He seems to like what he hears and makes a mental note of the most important details to later transcribe into his tome. When Aloush pipes in his two-cents he replies --- "When things larger than yourself seem to meddle with your own life, one might as well swim with the current. I'm in if you need my knowledge and what skills I have tooffer." ---he then takes a drag off his pipe, blowing three perfect rings of thick grey smoke and answers Lilliana's inquiry --- "As for slaver's I know not, but as I came into town three days previous, there was a caravan leaving that morning. I don't know much else beyond that..." --- then he quickly turns to Aloush, and inquires --- "Aloush, your 'gift' of precognition...do you find it to be a curse or a blessing? I have only known one other seer, and he believed it came with a great responsibility...a crushing obligation that sits heavy on one's shoulders. Were you born with it? Or was it something acquired along your life's path?"
PC (Duggan): Seeing that he got everyone attention he sits to wait for his meal, and says: As for slavers Lillianna, I haven't heard nothing as Dimscale said, but when I was in the Town's Hall archives doing my research (this last part he almost said talking in his mug so that only the group around him could hear) I came across some of the constable's reports of at least a caravan bringing supplies into town way overdue what seems not likely to happen to that particular caravan and of a complaint by two farmers closer to the Keep of their sons disappearing. (when his meal arrives, Duggan thanks the tavern girl and ask for a refill of his mug, and than completes) of course that the caravan could have been delayed by a number of things and the constable noted that it wasn't the first time both boys disappeared, but my arse is itching to get some exploration so if you'all would like to join me I intend on finishing this fine establishment's stew and mug of ale and start preparing to do some exploration! (with a raised mug to the tavern keeper, Duggun digs into his stew with potatoes and waits the others)

OOC: Doesn't matter to me. I'm flexible.

OOC: I cast my vote for Vilhon Reach or Impiltur. Both have a landscapes of great variance along with plenty of opportunity for adventuring :)
Another option: We play out our own creation of an entirely new world. Our actions, NPCs, ideas, and descriptions builds the world as we go ;)

Lillianna eyed Aloush, suspiciously.
"Perhaps this is something a group would be better suited for?"

Lillianna frowned at this news. Clearly, it wasn't was she was hoping for. She turned to the door of the tavern, and stared at it, deep in thought.
