You are awoken by the sound of children playing, opening your eyes you see a group of 5 human children kicking a ball around in the sand about 15 feet from you. The beach you dosed off on is now significantly more crowded than last night. As you look around and enjoy the rays of sunshine, you hear one of the children yell "Look out!" As you look towards the source of the yelling, you feel the light pat of the ball hit you in the back of the head.
Rico
The room spins around you as you realize you probably had more than your weight in ale the night before. The noises of a bustling city day pour in through your open window. Carts clambering down the cobblestone road drown out the voices of vendors pedaling their wares. "Fresh bread! Get your fresh bread here!" Oh crap! Your mind begins to race, did you miss the arrival of your mark? They were supposedly going to be coming into town on the road your Inn room faces. You jump up out of bed as panic sets in. Quickly, you throw on your clothes, grab your gear.
Sven
*thud thud thud* "Sven! I know you're in there! Utkrad said you've been here a couple nights! You can't keep dodging me, your payments are due!" You find yourself staring at the wood patched ceiling of your rented room wishing you could drown out that all too familiar squeaky voice. You know your alimony payment was due two days ago, you just haven't been paid for your last job yet. No matter what you tell Percy, he will think you are lying. You start to daydream about your kids, remembering playing with them in the fields...*thud thud thud* "Damn it, Sven! Open up!"

You wake up with a big stretch. Today's the day, you tell yourself. I've been tracking him down for weeks now. I'm finally going to one-up Tyler Rapid while he is in the middle of his performance. Then, you think, then all of his fans will love me instead. I mean, why wouldn't they. I am me after all. "Go get'em Ey-Eynak!" you proclaim out loud. This city isn't even ready for me.
Go ahead and post how you would react/spend the first part of the day.
The ball bounces off of the back of my head and I lean forward to snatch it out of mid air. The children stare wide eyed as I rise up my weight digging into the white sand at my feet. I turn to them, take a deep breath in letting the heat of the sun fill my lungs and body, its a beautiful day “Thank you Pelor” I say with a exhale. I laugh in a comforting but raspy way, drop the ball gently to the sand, and kick it over to the children. I spend the morning on the beach, I have traveled a long way to arrive here after hearing rumors of how the white sand reflects and absorbs the sunlight. I lay out a neckless of shell pieces I carry with me, ancestors, friends, family, I have them with me as a reminder. It’s not that this is an end to my journey or even a significant moment—instead it feels like a beginning, a resting breeze under the wings of a bird, a lifting and rising up into the sky, into the sunlight, into Pelor’s watchful gaze. As the midday sun rises I pack my sack, return the shells to my neck and head up the path into town, looking for a bite of anything that smells edible.

The loud rapping at the door stirs me awake in my peaceful slumber. It has been a few days here in Grebook, and I have been unable to get paid for my last contract. I begrudgingly stir from my bed and toss a loincloth on. "I come hold." I saunter to the door and swing it slowly open. "What want now, I no money"
"Tyler won't even know what hit him" I say out loud, walking naked across the room to where I have my clothes laid out. I eye up a costume I have for occasions like this, when I need to go out and not be noticed. "Everyone loves me, and when everyone loves you its hard to get things done" I say to myself. When I jump on stage tonight in the middle of Tyler's set, it needs to be a spectacle. No-one can know its coming. I go downstairs to the main room of the inn, and pass a display of small books with poetry from Tyler Rapid near the bar. "I'm not a fan of books, I do so much, you couldn't even put it in a book. You'd have to re-write it every day." After scoffing at the display, I head to the seedier part of town to meet up with a sorcerer I heard of the night before in the inn, Esoboqium. Word on the street is he has the skillset to give me the entrance I need.
I run outside to grab some of the fresh bread to help cure the mild hangover I'm feeling, as I pay the vendor and take a bite of the bread, I casually ask if he's seen my mark. I tell him that he's my lost relative I've been searching for. I'll continue to ask around a few people who seem like they have been loitering in the area until I gather some reliable information, I need to keep my eyes open for my mark...
As you travel away from the water, sand quickly turns to gravel, gravel to stone, before you realize it you are in surrounded by one of the more active bazaars you have seen in your lifetime. Tents made of all different colors of fabric are set up in this opening. Most of what you see at first glance seems to be not edible, but one of the ally ways has a particular aroma that lures you in. You haven't smelt anything like this, but you know whatever is at the end of this scent must be delectable. As you wander towards the scent, you notice that you draw some attention as eyes follow you nonthreateningly. "Fresh bread! Get your fresh bread here!" you hear over the sounds of the bazaar. As you look in that direction, you see a slender human selling what looks to be large ant thorax, the size of your head. You discover that this is where that smell is coming from.
Sven
As you open the door, you are met by a man significantly shorter than you with pointy ears. His brown hair is pulled back into a ponytail. Your towering figure obviously unsettling, he takes a half step back...clears his throat and slightly puffs out his flat chest. "Do not dare give me that shit Sven!" he says holding his head up high. "You know you owe money! By law, you are required to turn over two gold every month! Now cough it up."
Ey-Eynak
As you walk through the rougher part of town, you are almost certain you draw no attention. You get to the storefront you were directed to, it looks rundown and empty. There is a sign hanging outside that reads "Fortune Teller" You second guess the advice given to you at the inn.

The vendor takes 5 cp pieces from you. "What do I look like? A watch guard?" he snorts at you. After talking to a few more people, none of them seem all that interested in giving you any additional information other than, "it probably went that way" pointing towards the city center.
I keep the sun above me as I walk into the town watching the hustle, letting people flow and form around me as I move forward like wading into a river. I follow my stomach and nose, a scent, unique to me, overcomes my senses. Eye’s follow my path, but eye’s often follow me—I am out of place in the world, nomads normally are. “Fresh bread!” a slender human half my size yells out grabbing my attention. I walk over to the stand and pick up a large brown item, its warm to the touch, crispy, and soft inside—I take a bite.
As you enter, a small bell rings above your head. A thick cloud of dust fills this room. You see a ragged bag of bones begin to animate in the corner. As it stands up from its chair, you can see a wrinkled old man underneath what could be a 40-year-old robe littered with moth holes begin to take shape. "Welcome to my shop," he struggles to say between coughs. "Would you like me to read you your future?"

The bread vendor is currently talking condescendingly to a halfling as you take a bite of bread. He quickly snaps around to look at you, "Excuse me, are you going to pay for that? That will be 5 copper pieces." he demands. "Does it looks like a run a charity around here? Sheesh!" You barely hear him as the warm bread makes its way into your mouth. You detect a slight hint of pumpkin as you devour the bread.

After receiving their orders, the children(3) scatter quickly. As you lean back against the side of the Inn you notice a creature you have never seen before. "By the gods, is that giant turtle?" you find yourself thinking.
After not receiving any information I look for some orphaned children that are playing in the street. I gather a few of them (up to 5) and tell them "I have 2 copper pieces for each of you to keep an eye out for someone for me, if you find them come show me, don't talk to them, and I'll give you 1sp! I'm looking for a older human male, who's got green eyes, bald head and brown skin. He probably is traveling with at least one other person."
After I give them their incentive I hang out in the streets near the Inn keeping an eye out for my mark or anything that catches my eye.

As I wait for the children to return with information I start to watch the giant turtle with much interest. I wonder to myself "Does it have fingers? Is it intelligent? Can it take off its shell? Can it use small objects like a matchbox? Do the spots on it back refer to how old it is?"
I find myself daydreaming about how this giant turtle would accomplish these menial everyday tasks as I watch it. I'm trying to keep an eye out for my mark but I'm having a hard time looking away from this turtle.
I take out 10 copper pieces from a a side satchel and drop them on the stand beside me already turning around with a second loaf of bread. I watch the the halfling move away from the cart and talk with some children, a few I recognize from the beach, they rush off excitedly. After another deep breath in I place the bread in my side satchel saving it for later.

"Hmmm," he thinks as he scratches his chin. You notice he has six oddly long hairs sticking out of his wrinkled chin. He hobbles into a back room, returning moments later with a jar of white powder. The old man sets the jar down on a table without saying a word and begins pouring some into a device with some sort of crank. Two minutes go by; he turns around displaying a small orb between his index finger and thumb. The orb is slightly smaller than your fist and made of what you can only assume is densely packed powder. "This should do the trick," he says excitedly. "Just throw it forcefully against a hard surface. I can sell you one for eight silver."

"Small man, I no have money, here shirt." I turn around and toss him the shirt on the floor. It smells rather terrible as it has not been washed in probably two weeks. "I give shirt on floor since not on back. I give note to last contract you collect from him and we all circle." Sven takes his large hammer and collects his trouser, before moving to head downstairs.
