DM ruling on Giant Strength belts? Do they apply to Raw or Modified Strength?
DMG: While wearing this belt, your Strength score changes to a score granted by the belt. If your Strength is already equal to or greater than the belt's score, the item has no effect on you.
DMG Errata: Belt of Giant Strength (p. 155). The last sentence of the first paragraph now reads as follows: “The item has no effect on you if your Strength without the belt is equal to or greater than the belt’s score.”
Why would you want to wear the belt if you str is higher than what the belt provides? If a spell pushes you beyond the limit, you get the higher of the two. Same with headband of intellect or amulet of health.
Other way around...
I want to know if I am wearing one of the belt and have a permanent increase to STR (feats, racials, etc.), so they combine with the belt or does the item totally overshadow everything else?

I believe the item totally overshadows everything else.

@Ivanchina and whoever else: Put on whatever buffs you want before the fight, just remember to keep track of your spell slots.
@Barlow The way the belt works is that it sets your str to X depending upon the belt you are wearing or you use your natural str, whichever is higher. Lets says your str is 8 and the belt you wear puts you at 25. Your str without the belt is still 8. Now lets say at level 4, 8, 12 and 16 you bump your str up 16. 16 is your str without the belt, and 25 is your str with the belt. Now lets say you cast a spell on yourself that gives you +10 to str for 1 minute. Your str without the belt is 16+10=26. Your str with the belt is still only 25 as the spell would only increase your natural str. And since you get the higher of the two, you str would be 26. You do not get to have a 35 str in that instance.

I'll have cast Rary's telepathic bond as a ritual, then. And, if the party has been together long enough, thorouhgly abused wish (note that using it to duplicate a spell of 8th level or lower--like clone or Drawmij's instant summons--does not incur the stress detailed at the end of the description).

You can cast clone if you want, and have even 3 clones of everyone if you want, even if it is all in the same area, the clone would have to go over to your main body to recover the equipment on your body, ie. magical items would take time to put on, heavy armor takes 10 minutes to don (at best, you'd have nonmagical plate already on the clone, attunement items take 1 hour to attune to the new body, etc. Even with the sapphire (drawmiji's instant summons) where the items comes you, instead of you coming to your dead body to recover it, you still have to put it on, since the spell says it comes to your hands, not it goes on you. If you are doing clone/drawmiji's instant summons because you don't want to permanently die, then it is pointless, cause you are brought back to life at the end of each fight and back to full HP, with full spells anyway. This is like adventures league, while not actually being adventures league, and this is not a campaign either. Death is not permanent in these fights, and you won't lose your items, this is just to see if it is possible to defeat these creatures or just how hard they really are. You still go onto the next fight with everything even if it is a total party wipe.

Pointless or not, I like having a demiplane full of clones and so forth.

Alright, it looks like I'll be joining you with a Gish Archer. I want to let DoubleGold stamp of approval my items before I post my final sheet here.
Fighter 12 (Eldritch Knight)/Sorcerer 4 (Draconic Heritage)/Warlock 4 (The Fiend)
I'll have some utility spells but nothing especially helpful for the party. Primarily a damage dealer.
If we're pre-buffing spells will we be allowed to bag-o-rats? That is, if I Hex a weak creature (a rat from the bag-o-rats) and kill it I can concentrate on Hex for up to 16 hours and gain 10 measly temp hit points from The Dark One's Blessing. On short rest I can regain Warlock spell slots. Will the rat and short rest be allowed proceeding the fight?
Here's a mechanical question regarding using Wish. If you cast Contingency can you pair it with 5th level Cure Wounds if you cast it using a 9th level spell slot for Wish?
Contingency says: "Choose a spell of 5th level or lower that you can cast..." You can cast any 5th level or lower spell using wish. This would consume a 6th and 9th level spell slot, rather than a 6th and 5th-or-lower.

I think you're saying "wish lets you cast any 8th-level-or-lower spell for free, so, if you cast contingency by casting wish, what level is contingency cast at?"

No no, you as a Wizard can cast Contingency normally at 6th level. Contingency is cast with another spell 5th level or lower attached that doesn't take effect 'til the contingency condition is met. That spell (the contingency spell) can't be Wish because Wish is not 5th level or lower. But, can it be Cure Wounds cast at the time the contingency is set at 5th level? Cure Wounds is not a spell you would normally have as a Wizard. But it is "a spell ... you can cast." If you use Wish
If I fail a death save cast Contingency (Cure Wounds) at the start of my next turn.
I'm aware you don't have it in your book. As a Wizard you can add spells to your book, note your statuete isn't consumed by the spell. I presume we will be allowed spell components. You have a familiar after all.
The question is mechanical/DM ruling.
If you've been to a jeweler you know. This stuff always "appraises" higher than you are expected to pay for it. "Our gem encrusted statuetes are guaranteed to appraise for double what we charge!"
For spellbooks, you all found none or so you can assume. But for gold for material components, you can assume you have like 100 K or so. You are 20th level and I calculated with some perfect games using the hardback book campaigns or most of them, you can be at 50,000 and up and still only be level 10/11. Imagine how much you would get if you were level 20.
I will get this game up, just had a long day at work, will probably be in the morning or so.
DoubleGold, how should I handle the Broom of Flying for movement? It doesn't seem to be well defined. I can treat it as a mount taking half my move to mount or dismount while its movement is separate (seems like the intent?), or treat it as giving me its movement, or whatever you think.
@DobleGold1: Could I use Heroe's Feast before the fight?
And, perhaps you could link the IC thread here tomorrow? because otherwise, we could miss the notification likewise the thread.
