I'd be willing to ride the wagon with Moshet. If he'd be kind enough to loan me the use of his crossbow I could cover him better as he drives. I know I'd said I'd scout but unfortunately my horse took an injury and he's on the mend so that leaves us to look for better options for that role. " says Quin.
"Oh, uh... yeah, sure. I"m glad for the company. Here it is and the 20 bolts too."
Tinrea hands Moshet the reins and gives him some instructions on how to handle the oxen and what commands to give them for turning and such things. With Quin riding "crossbow" beside him, the party soon gets underway. Khoraj is slightly out in front of the party, while Lucas and Tin ride alongside the wagon. Tin is staying close to keep an eye on the wagon and make sure that Moshet is able to handle his new responsibilities. Quiller trails behind the wagon, while Maximillian is walking between Khoraj and the wagon. Those on foot, quickly realize they will have no trouble keeping up with the pace set by the oxen.
As the party moves along through the morning, they occasionally past crews from the Teamsters Guild who are laying straw and dirt down in mud wallows created by the storm of the day before. Although the party is slowed down slightly by the mud wallows and the Teamsters, they still maintain a fairly good pace throughout the day. In mid-afternoon, the party passes the last of the farms and enters the foothills of the Torgrahn Mountains. In the afternoon, the only noteable event to occur is when Tin's horse suddenly stops. Tin tries urging the horse on to no avail. After a couple minutes, Tin looks at Budeim, shrugs his shoulders and says "You know how Sunchaser is . . . When he decides he needs a break, there is nothing any of us can do to get him moving again. Keep going and I'll catch up with you shortly."
Budeim looks at him disgustedly, before commenting "I don't know why you don't sell him. He's worth more as meat, than as a riding horse. Well, let's keep moving. They'll catch up with us at some point."
The party moves on, and, true to Tin's word, as the sun is beginning its final descent, he catches up with the party about an hour before a stop is made for the night. Budeim says "We made good progress today. If this keeps up, we'll get to Springholde on Scanday, a full day ahead of schedule."
Tin volunteers to take the first watch, while Budeim will take the last watch, because he is an early riser.
ooc: I'll let the players decide on the intervening watches.
Moshet: "I'll take first watch with Tin. It will give me time to prepare myself for the morning."
To Quin: "Yes sir, and I'll sleep well because of it. Get some rest for now."
During the meal, Moshet makes sure to toss a portion of his meat into the fire and uses Thaumaturgy to cause the flames to dim momentarily as he makes his offering. After dinner, Moshet will set up his shrine with his amulet, the candle, and prepare his spells for the next day. When completed and everyone appears asleep, he will engage Mr Tin.
To Tin: "Well Mr Tin, it seems our first day was successful. I was worried earlier about your horse... is it injured or sick? I could attempt to heal it if you'd like."
Quiller will circle around the camp, about 20 meters out, setting up a series of warning devices; small piles of stones and twigs that if disturbed will collapse and make an audible noise.
”If you hear any sound like this, alert everyone.” He will replicate one device, nudge it gently so it falls apart, letting all hear what should alert them to danger.

The party is able to set up camp relatively quickly. After people have volunteered for the watches they want, Budeim notices that three people haven’t volunteered for a watch. He then says “Max, why don’t you take the second watch with Lukas, and Quiller, you can assist Quin on his watch.”
After listening to Max perform for the small crowd, everyone quickly falls asleep. When Moshet asks Tin about his horse, Tin replies “Sunchaser is just old and stubborn. I suspect that somewhere in his ancestry there is a donkey. If she finds a particularly appetizing patch of grass, she will stop and graze until she has had her fill. But, when the need arises, she can move as rapidly as most horses out there. She might not be able to match the speed of Sanbeyonne’s elite cavalry, but, she’ll outrace most horses out there.”
After a couple hours, Tin goes over and wakes Lukas and Max up before retiring to his bedroll. Tin is soon snoring away into the quiet night. A little while after Moshet and Tin fall asleep, one of Quiller’s traps goes off.
Lukas notices several small figures creeping up on the wagon.
