Aldrich drops the man from his grip after he gets some blood splatter on his face. Couldnt you aim a little lower? To Peters question he replies: It'd be a pleasure.
Aldrich takes point, now with a scimitar and hand axe drawn, ready to attack as soon as something. (he holds his action to throw the axe)
To your dwarven eyes, Muirgurn, the fighter's ruby studded belt looks particularly valuable, and his rapier seems to be of exceptional workmanship of an unknown and ancient origin. He has no other possessions on his person.
Aldrich, do you go down the hall into the brightly lit room, and does everyone else follow him?
Have you all decided what you're doing? I asked a bit ago if you're all going into the brightly lit room with the stone statue, but I didn't get a response. You can do whatever you want. Let me know.
The room is sixty feet wide by fifty feet across with a pair of large double doors recessed into an alcove directly across from your entrance. To your left, you can see two more stone statues in addition to the one that was visible from the hall. They wear expressions of surprise and horror and, like the other, seem to be trying to shield themselves from something with their outstretched arms.
In the far right-hand corner there is a large work table with a glass decanter on it filled with the dried husks of insects, and behind the table, on the floor near the wall, is a rolled up scroll.
The double doors are the only visible exit from the room, and although they were within sight during the entire fight and you saw no one leaving, the source of the other voice you heard is nowhere to be seen.
"If we are prepared to wait whilst I conduct a ritual, I can try to discern if there are any magical auras present", suggests Muirgurn. "But whoever was commanding that poor soul to attack us is still around. We should remain vigilant".
No, i dont want to throw my attention to danger out the window. Not at all. I am lucky to not have gotten hurt in the fight before and know that you werent so fortunate.

Muirgurn quickly searches the dead fighter, before following Aldrich.

Aldrich sees Muirgurn pick up the rapier. You got use for that? I'd take it, at least for the moment.

"No use to me", declares Muirgurn, tossing it hilt first towards Aldrich before hitching the belt over his shoulder.
Once others have gone into the hallway, Razil will trail close to the back, occasionally looking back into the room behind them.

Aldrich first struggles to catch the rapier as his hands are occupied.
(I, once again confused my weapon properties. It turns out that rapier isnt a light weapon)

Upon handling the rapier, both Muirgurn and Aldrich can sense that there's something extraordinary about this weapon.
(Peter might have best of it?)
(he might) but for the moment Aldrich will keep it, at least for this fight. But i assume that Peter is intended to be ranged?)

Aldrich moves into the room carefully, holding his action to hurl his hand axe as soon as he sees a potential enemy

Muirgurn follows close behind Aldrich.

((sorry about the late post again, I'm on vacation right now :P but yeah I'll check the rapier out but I was thinking mostly range for Peter))
Peter continues to follow his companions, but never completely enters the room, standing just outside the door way with an arrow nocked and ready

looks like we are in the clear for now. Does someone like to rest for a moment?

Razil will approach the statues and investigate them, trying to discern any useful information.
