Jargrax looks around as everyone seems to gather around Gundren, he doesn't move but to turn around on his stool. Gundren had no issue being loud coming in, so he could speak up to explain this gathering. If the Dwarf was wasting his time, he would be very unhappy with the bearded bastard.
Adorabella pops up excitedly and tries to get Gundren's attention, but the rather taller strangers (how many people does Gundren know!?) have all hustled around him, minus a very grouchy looking Dragonborn, whom she smiles at brightly. She swirls and scoots to stand behind Gundren, she has much news of his kin to share! She pulls out a letter or two from his folk who asked her Ma to pass along when I finally got to catch up with him.
“Coming right up sir!” Duli says to Gundren and shuffles off back to the kitchen. He returns to see Belvarax leave him an extra silver. “Thank you kind sir! I believe that fellow who just barged in and light a pipe is Gundren. Since you said were looking for them.” They then move around the tavern taking care of the other patrons.
Belvarax after giving your introduction he looks at you rather confused for a moment before speaking. “I sent for an Artye from you clan. If you are here in his stead that works well enough for me. Do you have the letter I sent to him?” After looking it over, hands it back, “Nice to meet you Belvarax! I appreciate your assistance in this important task.”
Natone, Gundren looks at you with admiration for getting straight down to business. “Yes Natone, Gundren have job. Job starts tomorrow. 10 gold for Natone to take wagon to Phandalin.” Gundren says in his best attempt to communicate effectively with Natone. Before continuing with his conversation to the group Gundren leans over to Natone and points at Adorabella “That one you keep safe. For Gundren please?”
Addressing Rolo, Gundren says “Yes of course there’s money involved. Have you ever known me to not give you payment for services performed? ... No of course not.”
“Adorabella! How wonderful to see you again. What news of home do you have?” He takes the letters and quickly reads them and returns these as well. “Excellent news! Glad everyone is doing well!”
It’s at this moment that Duli arrives with the house special a plate of Pickled Deer and Dried Beetroot with a glass of Brandy which Gundren eyes hungrily. Paying Duli for his meal, he says between mouthfuls of food, “Thank you all for being here to assist me and my brothers. I’m departing here soon with a Sildar Hallwinter on our way to Phandalin. My brothers and I have found something very big near Phandalin and I must arrived before the supplies to get everything in order. The supplies will be ready first thing tomorrow morning at South Copper Side Provisions. Everyone will be paid 10 gold each when the wagon is delivered to Barthen’s Provisions in Phandalin.”
As Gundren finishes his meal and his explanation for your summons, the door opens again and you see a middle aged human clad in chain mail. He stands in the door way “Gundren we should be going if you’re finished here.”
“Already Sildar? I just finished my meal and haven’t had a chance to drink my brandy yet. Oh well, it’s probably better that I didn’t get to it.”
Gundren then walks to the door, he turns to look at everyone before departing. “Thanks again for your help! I’ll see you all again soon in Phandalin.”
(The rest of the day is yours to do with as you wish. Feel free to rp any interactions between Gundren before he goes if you would like. And any between each other. The wagon of supplies will be ready tomorrow morning. What would you like to do?)
The job was simple, transportation and protection. Jargrax could do that without issue, the pay was great and would go a long way to helping him out. As Gundren was leaving, he hurried out after him catching him as he was leaving. "Gundren. Before you go, I want to request 3 gold from my pay. I owe Duil for food and drink for a long time, if I am leaving I would like to settle my debt first. I will be there tomorrow to work, that I swear on." Standing there without shame, not afraid to speak the truth. He was broke, and had been for a very long time. He could pack all his belongings in no time and sleep in the alley near South Copper Side Provisions. He didn't mind if the others heard his request, he had a job and he would see it through or die trying.
As Gundren opens his mouth to reply to you Jargrax, he is cut-off by Sildar “I’ll give you the three gold myself. And you can repay me in Phandalin after you receive money from your job. Is this agreeable to you?” He moves over to you on his horse his hand outstretched with 3 gold pieces sitting in it.
Taking the coins without hesitation, "Thank you, and I will see you repaid." Striking a very stiff pose, his hand hitting his chest three quick and hard times. "You will be repaid." Turning and walking into the old tavern and setting the gold on the counter. "Duil, I am setting my debt. You kindness was always appreciated, you were the only meal I had many of days. Thank you, if ever I return with coin. I will always stop by for a visit. Now I must go gather my belongings." Striking the salute for Duil, "Till next time."
I bid safe journeys to Gundren and Sildar. Then, I talk to Duli about a room for the evening. Once I have one secured I take a stroll through the community, just checking things out and noting and shops that I may come across. The whole while puffing on my pipe. In which case, I look for tobacco as I’m running low.
Duli looks at the coin in shock. Having never seen you with even one silver ... let alone three gold coins and all at the same time. He picks up the gold coins from the counter and grabs your wrist before you depart, placing the coin back into your hand. With a sincere look in his eyes says, “It’s been my pleasure to help you and I seek no repayment for the kindness I’ve shown you. Keep this for use in the future.” He gives you a warm smile. “Good luck on your journey. May fortune always favor you.” He then goes back to work after a moment or two.
Nodding to Duli, "Your kindness is apparent yet again." Looking around the area at the others, and clacking his teeth much louder then normal. "We are going to be working together. I may not like you but I will work with you, I am going to pack my belongings in the forest nearby and return. If any of you need help, I will be back shortly. I will be sleeping in the alley beside the South Copper Side Provisions, if you need me. Two of you looks capable, the others better not disappoint." Looking each one in the eye for a few seconds, then leaving out the door.
She hears Gundren tell Natone and she laughs, playfully punching Natone in the shoulder (a little harder than most would be comfortable with, but I'm sure Natone takes without thought). "Oh Gundren, you surely don't think mighty Truesia Diamondshield, fierce battle matron would let me out on my own without a few tricks and skills?! She has never been bested in combat, and I like to think I take a little bit after her! But when the goddess calls to you, you must answer!" She settles back and stands at rest next to Natone.
I smile at everyone and wiggle fingers after Gundren explains what is to happen tomorrow. Before Gundren ducks out I give him a large squeeze, excited to be reunited with family, "Gundren, I wish we were traveling together, I've missed having someone around I can speak in the old family traditions with!" because travels to all the temples while fulfilling, are often themselves quite lonely, outside her sturdy combat pony Onyx. I turn back in and the one named Jargax brushes past, and I flourish a mighty curtsey, heading to chat with the rest of the crew.
I shake hands with as many as I can and squeeze Natone's bicep, "I guess we'll be good friends before this is through! What's your weapon of choice? Maybe we can practice sparring! I have gotten a little rusty on these solo trips, only so much you can do ministering good alone!" I chat with much bubble (loneliness does not suit me)
"Jargax, before you go! As the traveling acolyte of the Lady Truesilver I have the right to grant you hospitality at the temple! I'm sure my fellow truth witnesses would have no problem accommodating you, it would be simple, as I will be in stables as well, but clean!" She turns, beaming to the rest of the party, "would anyone else like to partake the hospitality of my Lady Truesilver, goddess and giver of life?" She waves a farewell & have a dramatic yawn; it was a long arduous journey & Adorabella will sleep in her Goddesses temple, as housing is provided in every town she visits. She has more pilgrimage auditing to do before leaving tomorrow. She will meet the party at the wagon at the morning exit, with combat pony.
Aðalsteinn listened to the offer and, since making the journey thus far, committed to the task before him. Gnomes, while not the best of fighters, ...in fact, Aðalsteinn couldn't think of a famous gnome fighter, are clever and able to think of solutions the others may not see, especially in a territory familiar to him. Aðalsteinn isn't sure how to talk to the bigger party members so doesn't say much unless prompted.
Before Gundren leaves, I wish him good travels in Dwarvish
To Adorabella: "Blessings of the ancestors upon you. What does your pendant signify?" in her native tongue.
In Dwarvish she says, "Aðalsteinn, many blessings my good gnome!" She fingers her pendant fondly, smiling, "my smithing father Tak wrought me the Goddess' emblem of life, the ruggesd and pure, white mountain lily, as a reminder to whom I serve and the service I'm offering." Afterwards, she smiles a bright toothy grin, a few winkling diamond encased teeth, at Aðalsteinn, a friend who knows Dwarvish! Or, at least the possibility of a friend!! More to be decided, she's been burned before on thought allies.
Stopping when he was called by the tiny female, listening to her but shaking his head. "Goddess and giver of life, what a weak sounding god." Walking out of the city gates and into the trees, walking along a game trail till he finds a familiar group of boulders. In the center was a tiny camp, only a ragged bedroll and few simple items around it. Jargrax gathered it and jammed most into the bedroll and tossed it over his shoulder. The last item was a carefully pulled out, a simple box with a bag inside. Jargrax was very gentle as he added this to the middle of his pack, where it would be safest. After looking at the tiny opening for a second, it had been home for a long time. Walking away without looking back and heading back to the city, that he might not see again.
Walking in he passed the temple that the small woman had mentioned, he paused to look at it and clack his teeth in annoyance at it before going to the alley near the provision. He sat in the dirt against the wall, he didn't worry about weather and the cold so he got comfortable and closed his eyes.
Natone, as could be expected, remained silent throughout the whole arrangement and just followed where everyone else was going. He did pocket the gold - he knows to do that much - but otherwise he simply trudges along.
Adorabella watches the sad grumpy dragonborn grumble away, she shakes her head sadly, not all understand the joys of serving a gracious and uplifting goddess. She rubbed her pendant and passed off a prayer of blessing to her ladyship in his honor before shaking off his mood and turning back to the group for the night before turning into her temple.
later in the evening... *looks up in the night and sees the large shape of a Dragonborn pausing outside. She holds her breathe, but sighs when he moves on into the shadows. She turns back to tallying her account sheets for the High Priestess*
After my stroll through town, I find my self back at the Triumphant Fool Tavern. I enter the establishment and proceed to the bar. "Duli, something hard and an ale to chase, please." As soon as the hard liquor arrives i grab it and down it. The glass is empty before Duli can set the ale down. "Thank you for the drinks." I pay for the drinks and head to my room for the evening to wait for morning.
I wake up early to get a bit to eat for breakfast and head out front to wait for the wagon. I will wait sitting on the bench out front puffing on a pipe, waiting for the rest of the group to show up.
Those that choose to stay at The Triumphant Fool owe Duli 5 silver for the room for the evening. Each room has two beds, in the event anyone would like to double up. (Please deduct the silver from your sheets)
The night passes without much activity, save for a disgruntled Dragonborn walking past the temple of Lady Truesilver. The rain lets up sometime during the night. As the sun rises on the next day, there isn’t a cloud to be seen.
If you haven’t already done so, feel free to post your morning routine to meet up at South Copper side Provisions. Jargrax and Belvarax are already there as mentioned in their posts.
Belvarax walks up to Jargrax as they are the first to show up at the wagon.
"I'm Belvarax, and you are? I suppose I got us off to the wrong foot yesterday, calling you Frosty and all." After some silence. Belvarax: "Look, we have been brought to this by some kind of fate, I have seen it. There is great trouble ahead, and whether or not we see eye to eye we are connected." And walks to the driver seat of the wagon and sits, lights his pipe, takes a swig of liquor from a flask and puffs on his pipe. He waits for a response or others to show.
Jargrax looks around as everyone seems to gather around Gundren, he doesn't move but to turn around on his stool. Gundren had no issue being loud coming in, so he could speak up to explain this gathering. If the Dwarf was wasting his time, he would be very unhappy with the bearded bastard.

Rolo: I will listen to what Gundren has to say with my eyes closed, and I will open my eyes when I hear about the 10 gold.
to Duli: Hey Duli, how much for a room for the night?
to Jargrax: I guess you are right, we just need to work together at this….and some of them do look fragile…They better not slow us down…
to Natone: …good thing we have this big guy with us…
