Gorokum orders the mutton and looks at the pages for awhile.
"Why would this have been in a chest buried in the ground in a cell of a cave filled with werewolves?" he asks. "This is strange all around. But yes, if we find these kobolds, it may be worth investigating."
He takes out the Garl Glittergold holy symbol and examines it as well.
"Did this gnomish explorer get tossed in the cells with a chest and he hid these things before he was eaten? Or were these stolen and placed in the cell?" he says and then pauses for a moment before shaking his head then continuing. "Regardless, what do we plan for tomorrow? There is plenty to choose from but none that provide a clear lead to the rubies."
Basina places the light blue pendant on the table.
”Then we have this, I don’t know where our friend got it, but it seems important.“ she says twirling it on the table.
”As for tomorrow I think we do wise in staying in town. Maybe have a look into the not so dead wife and hopefully we can find someone that have the ability to sense the magic of items. That way we could learn more about what we have found.”

"I sense we will not get any disagreement from this one," Gorokum says, gesturing to the mute Jadyn. "As for the trinket, yes, it could have some magic too it. Unfortunately, while I deal in magic on a daily basis, my knowledge skews towards spells to be used in battle."

The pendant has a trace of magic in it, it seems like its meant to unlock something...
The yeti is a fearsome beast, they blend into the snow while stalking their prey, and before you know it, they succeeded in capturing their dinner. The freshly killed prey is dragged back to their den as food for them, and their tyke if they have one.
They have one primal instinct with them; kill anything that is a threat or food, and leave all else alone, but so little fall under all else. While they are fierce, they can be a great parent. I saw the yeti taking their tyke outside, presumably for hunting purposes, but I lost my field of sight.
Whenever they encounter fire, they run away like wolves with thunder. I guess even the scariest monsters have their fears...
Goblins are cold-hearted beings. While divided, they easily fall, but in numbers, they can easily kill.
Thanks to their small size, they are very nimble, able to easily get in and out of a pinch in record time. They create lairs and "villages" from the inside of dungeons, and it turns out to be complex society.
The elders of said society turn out to be their much larger counterparts, the hobgoblins, whom they worship almost as gods.
As Basina eats she will look through the pages on the table. Feeling a bit surprised over how quickly the four of them had become a group. Battle forges bonds like nothing else she pondered. Her luck once again shining upon her as the gods had sent good fighting companions.

Everyone walks downstairs to their assigned rooms for a great night's sleep. In the 'morning', you wake up to this;
Gorkum
You wake up to find someone has put you in a bed overnight, there is a note of parchment on the door, it says "Nobody sleeps uncomfortably in my inn. I hope you enjoyed the room! --Gina"
Basina
You wake up to find over the 'night' your backpack fell over, releasing all it's contents all over the floor!
Jaydn
You wake up to the window of your room flying open, releasing a gust of loud and chilly air into the room.
Fred
You wake up with your fur/hair sticking out everywhere.
Gorokum wakes, feeling revived. He reads the note pinned to the door with some degree of curiosity and a little concern. Someone being able to come into the room and move him to the bed without his noticing is cause for some concern. What if this Gina had meant him harm? He vows to be more vigilant if he stays here again.
He then organizes his gear and weapons. After the events of yesterday, he feels stronger and more adept at handling his magic and is ready to try more difficult spells than he has before. He spends time preparing another spell for the day and then goes out to look for the others.
He joins Basina for breakfast.
"When the others are ready we should set out to find this home where the husband is not sure if his wife is dead or not," he says. "The sooner we deal with it the better."
“I agree. After what we saw yesterday I have the feeling we will have much to do if we hope to put things in order.” She den gets the station of a member of the staff.
”Can you tell me if there is a place in town where we can get magic items appraised?” she ask the member of staff.

”Can you tell me if there is a place in town where we can get magic items appraised?” she ask the member of staff.
The staff member you get the attention of is a tiefling woman with a curled pair of horns. "Yes, just head downtown and you'll find The Iron Staff. They sell some pretty rare stuff. Just be aware that some items may be fake."
"If the Iron Staff is like the rest of this kingdom, I imagine that getting someone to look at that will cost a fair amount of coin. But, other than noting it might be some sort of magical key, its purpose is beyond me."
He finishes his breakfast before speaking again.
"This wife, who may or may not be dead, have you encountered such a thing before?" he asks Basina. "I've heard stories that you paladins special gifts that help you when you battle the undead. Is it true?"
“It is, many of us can sense the undead and we have ways of protecting against them. When I was in training my mentor took me to deal with a group of undead. They are no easy feat to kill them, as they are already dead. The best chance you have is weapons that radiate light. They really don’t like light, it tends to make them extra cranky “ she replies.

Gorokum then heads to one of the rooms and falls asleep almost immediately, a soldiers skill at sleeping where and when you can.
Basina finished her meal, gives compliment to the cook as she found it both filling and enjoyable.
”I too will take my goodnight for now” she said and headed to bed. Basina spent some time in a prayer before laying down and falling asleep.
