Name: Orlan Spade Race: Stout Halfling Class: Blood Hunter Background: Haunted One Backstory:Formerly a bar keep in a small halfling town, Orlan lived a relatively happy life among friends and family. He was happily married to the love of his life, Glenda Lightfoot and had two beautiful children. A son, Perrin and a daughter, Lily. All was good in the Spade family and Orlan was more than happy with his simple life.
Then things took a terrible turn one ill fated summer night. For a reason yet unknown a terrible sickness came upon Orlan. He was bed ridden and horrible hallucinations of death and destruction plagued him for weeks. He was delirious and remembers little of what happened during that time. When he finally regain his faculties, he found himself in a living nightmare. Covered in blood, he awoke to find himself the sole survivor in a village of death. Every other villager in the town, including his wife and children had been slaughtered, some in ways too gruesome to describe. It was as if a pack of wild animals had torn the villagers apart.
Overcome with grief Orlan spent days searching beyond hope for another living soul. He found none. He was overcome with guilt, for there was no one else to blame but himself. After he had buried each and every body, Orlan swore on their graves he would get to the bottom of what happened and take revenge on the person who caused this, even if it was himself.
Name: Mandelvian "Manny" Stormknuckles Race: Half-Elf Class: Monk Alignment: Neutral Good Background: Gladiator Fighting Stance: Boisterous Brewmaster (his trainer-Marv's idea) Monastic Text: Life is Endless Calamities: What are you going to do about it (again, Marv's idea for Manny to read) Monastic Order: Marv's Boxing Gym and House of Hot Ki-Free Pork dumplings every Tuesday with 3 gold piece orders! Backstory: Manny was raised to be a fighter, like his human dad, Vic Stormknuckles, a renowned boxer in Waterdeep. Manny didn't have a lot of his father's charm or mob connections but Mannie had spunk and determination. Manny had a local following, mainly due to his dad's influence and some mob guys here and there but, he never seemed to get any high money fights in or out of Waterdeep. It had gotten so bad that he had trouble paying for gym time and Manny's pride kept him from going to his dad for money. Finally, his manager, Lou, dropped him telling him: "kid, you got heart and skill but, no one wants to fight Vic Stormknuckles kid". Distraught, thinking his life was to be a chef at the local tavern for the rest of his days, Manny overheard a couple of guys talking about starting a franchise of Acquisitions Incorporated. This just might be Manny's ticket. He puts up a little money, does a few jobs and then he can pay his gym fees and get a better trainer than Marv and BOMB it's the big time baby! With that Manny won a could fights, picked up a back alley fight or two, and got his money to go in with those guys talking. Now Manny is part of a franchise and it's smooth sailing from here. Big Time here I come!
Backstory: Hugh was a sailor by trade before retiring after the the unexpected demise of his crew. Hugh was the only one to survive a smuggler raid on the ship, and now one can find him in a Waterdeep tavern at all times of the day. Hugh like to numb the pain with alcohol and adrenaline, both of which are plentiful in the many pub brawls he finds himself in. Unfortunately this new line of work got Hugh tangled up with the law and he now find himself in a criminal reform group. They told Hugh he needed a way to channel his anger. That a job would do him well. And now, somehow Hugh finds himself working this stupid job if only to make his parole agent happy, and to make ends meet.

Hill Dwarf Sage, Warlock (Genie Patron), Neutral Good
There come's a time in the life of any academic when the scholar's bench loses it's comfortable allure, when the words on a wild page, scribbled by the blooded hands of intrepid explorers becomes more enticing with each passing day, and each turning page. And when at last the spirit of adventure made its siren's call, Sully replied with a most stalwart "Tally-ho!" Leaving his collected works to gather dust on the groaning shelves of St. Orollo's Library, at the peerless Eras Drake's College for Studies in Antiquity, he set off to slake his thirst for adventure among the tottering ruins of ancient civilizations in the sand-choked climes of the distant south. What he found there surpassed all his expectations. A peculiar oddity, a trinket really, but possessed of immense power and greater secrets. A mighty spirit of a deep and mysterious plane, bound by ancient spellcraft to this realm to serve and guide, and occasionally dominate, the interests of mere mortals. Armed with such a mighty ally, but otherwise penniless to continue his search and studies, Sullivan Van Pithelm approaches the reputable establishment that is Acquisitions Incorporated, offering his services in exchange for what he hopes will prove to be immeasurable opportunity in the unknown and unknowable future...

race: variant human (feat: archery fighting style)
class: fighter (defense fighting style)
Backstory:
Virem Sarai was a girl in a small village south of waterdeep, in a desert. She was a proficient hunter. But one day, a large purple worm attacked her village, and no matter how hard they fought, they where scattered. Unable to find her family again, she vowed to hunt the worm. So she went into it’s tunnels, following it into the underdark. By the time she realized that she was lost, she was half dead from starvation. So she gave up the hunt, and tried to find a way out. Eventually she found herself with a band of bounty hunters, searching the tunnels for a fugitive. She agreed to help simply for the cost of being fed and pointed towards a society, and so she was. She was rather successful in the hunt, and decided to take up bounty hunting as a trade. So that’s how she ended up *insert start of story*, hunting a rather elusive criminal for some small royals, who are paying handsomely.

Well stats are the same, but I changed the backstory. (Also I do have acquisitions, I just kinda forgot about that part)
So basically she was a bounty hunter, but that fell through after a SPECTACULARLY failed hunt, and now she needs a new way to pay the bills. So she notices a new franchise of A.I. Is being started nearby, so she figured she’d give it a shot.
is that mildly better?

Now Orlan is faced with having to work to make a living! With very little experience given having spent most of his time bumming about, Orlan had been at his wits end. Then one of his friends told him about the Acquisitions Incorporated franchise. Mulling it over, Orlan decided this may be the perfect fit. He could still go about on his hunts and get paid for it!
