After wandering the town for a little bit, and not really finding anyone out at this time of the day, you head toward the Stonehill Inn. As you enter this 2-Story building, you are greeted by a small eating area with what looks like a bar on the opposite side. Stairs leading up to a second floor is to the right of the bar and a fireplace on the left wall lights and warms up the area. A small human man greets you as you enter.
"Well ain't this a set of new faces. I haven't seen you here before, what brings you this way at this time of day?"
Cillian:
This guy doesn't seem to be confused, concerned, or worried about the new faces or even the different races.
"What indeed," Galeryn replies quietly to the greeting before approaching what appears to be the inns proprietor. "How are you this evening sir? We've um," he looks around at his newfound companions and continued, "traveled a great distance this day and I for one was hoping to um," Galeryn felt for his wallet, but none was to be found. Guess that went the way of his other belongings. Plus, who knew if it would have done him any good. Didn't look like they had a credit card machine anywhere around and he doubted his paper currency was traded in these parts. His heart raced a moment. It hadn't occurred to him until just this instant that he'd no money to trade. But what to do, he'd already broached the conversation. He quickly glanced at the others as he patted his pockets and found only one small silver coin. But the conversation had been started. "um, hoping to rest my bones for a moment." Hopefully he recovered. "What town is this and how fare you and yours?" he asked quickly to turn the conversation down a different road to give them time to think.
Galeryn looked towards the others and tried to mouth the word... M o n e y? Hoping one of them may find more than he.

Cillian will approach with a smile after hearing Galeryn awkwardly introduce himself to the small human man behind the bar.
“It’s cute that he tried at least.”
Then he himself will move to approach the proprietor with a friendly expression on his face,
“Good evening sir! We hope to find a comfortable place to stay, and to find food to fill our bellies! Me and my friends are quite new to town you see, I was actually hoping that maybe you can tell me a little bit more about where we’ve found ourselves! I can even play music for the Inn to help pay for costs, though I’m sure it won’t be too much of a problem.”
The dark elf goes on to pat a slightly filled coin purse Cillian had found on his belt when he was doing inventory back in the cave. As he does this he gives a little wink to Gale holding his single silver coin, wording back to him in response, “Don’t worry about it”.
Rolls (only if needed): Persuasion (Want this guy to think we are friends, and hopes he will answer all questions he and his group might ask): 9
Performance (Performance for the Inn, potentially helping lower cost of food or rooms): 20
OOC: Cillian hopes to lower prices for his group with the performance but if he can’t he is okay with paying for them whatever the price is if he can afford it, having 15 gold himself in said coin purse. And realizing allies are more important than money, Cillian would pay for those who can’t pay for themselves.
((OOC: If Cillian ends up performing, I'll use the Help action on that roll. Performance 21 Just wish I had some cowbell...))
Leareth sauntered over to the bar. "Hello! My name is Leareth and we're a traveling improv group! Just kidding but we can sure give a performance. We're looking for a place to stay and work to do, in that order. As the elf said, we've only just arrived."
The man looks over the group and chuckles a bit. "Well, ain't this somethin'. It's nice to meet all of you." He says looking at everyone before continuing. "My name is Toblen, Toblen Stonehill and this is my business, The Stonehill Inn." Getting a little confused with the idea that these people don't know where they are. "And this is the town of Phandalin. Are you saying you really don't know where you are?" He asked thinking they are kidding.

((Deception 27 and if Cillian plays along maybe we can count that as a Help action and get advantage.))
"Well, of course we do now... But SOMEONE decided to take us off road without a map and got us lost." He glared at Cillian hoping he'd take this cue and play along. "I know exactly where we are, he said. This is a short cut, he said. CITY'S JUST OVER THAT HILL." He decided not to dwell on it too much. "Pleasure to meet you, Toblen! We're a little hungry and tired, do you think you could sell us some food while we rest? ...And what about rooms?"
Toblen looks over the group and chuckles hearing the story. "Yeah, I understand that, but ya' gotta be careful. Lotta dangerous beasts out here in the wild. Manticores, Ogres, hell just about a tenday ago some Orcs came down from the mountains and tried raiding our town, but we were able to fight them off. I'm not sure how many more of those raids we can handle though. Anyways, I'm rambling, about that food and bed. I do have a couple rooms available, 2 of you will have to share a room though. That will cost ya 1 Gold a night for all of ya. As far as food is concerned, I'll cover today's meal. We have Wolf Flank and Fire Beetle Stew, as well as very good Honey Ale. So what'll it be."
”A pleasure to meet you, Toblen, and that Wolf Flank sounds nice, but if there are wounded from a raid, it is my duty as a healer to see to them first,” says Morgan, “where can they be found?”
Realizing he had not introduced himself, the doctor says, “The name’s Morgan, or Doctor Wynn if you like.”
Cillian will catch on quickly to the narrative being spun by Leareth and respond,
“Sorry for believing in my navigation skills! I could’ve sworn I saw some birds migrating in this direction, and I thought that probably meant they were heading to safety! Like a town!”
Cillian says, hoping to play the fool of the his companions, clapping the shoulder of Leareth as if they were best friends (Providing Help Action on Leareth’s Deceptions). Hearing word of Manticores, Orcs, & Ogres Cillian feels his curiosity peaked. As he moves to order rooms for the party and some Fire Beetle Stew for himself, Cillian will casually ask Toblen,
“Tragedy to hear of how hard the town was hit by these Orc raids, you have my deepest sympathies friend Toblen. If I may ask, is this normal for Phandalin? Or has something out of the ordinary brought the ire of these...Orcs?”
Toblen writes down the orders and exchanges the coin as he talks further. "Ehh not to my knowledge, Orcs are not known for their pleasant demeanor, but mountain orcs are even worse, but you already know that! Is that all, or is there anything else you'd all want?"
Morgan:
From what you recall, these creatures were those of fairytales, no one believed they existed.
Nodding to the others, Morgan says, "Enjoy your meals and put something aside for me if you would. I will be back after I have done what I can to help." Heading back out the door and to the south part of town, Morgan looks for the tent with the injured, anxious to do something that seems normal to him in this world gone crazy--or at least medieval.

"NO problem Doc," Gale offers as the Morgan heads out. He joins the others at a table wait I ng to find out what Fire Beetle stew is then lowers his voice and asks his companions, "Did we just hear him correctly? Orcs? Did we just arrive in some book?" He settles in and looks around the place. "Thanks for stepping in back there. Just lost myself for a moment and assumed my wallet would be of use... or even here for that matter."
Gale sat back a moment and absorbed the scene around him. He was use to unfamiliar situations. He'd lived his life in unfamiliar situations. This one may be different in a lot of ways but he still had his training and his knowledge of the land. It was just a new adventure. And maybe it would keep his mind from dwelling on his memories.

About half an hour after Morgan leaves, Toblen comes out with some food and drink, placing it on the table in front of everyone. "Here you go all! No one should go without food, so I brought you a little of everything. I hope you enjoy it!" Toblen leaves the food and heads back behind the bar. The Wolf Flank is nice and juicy while the Fire Beetle stew gives off an interesting scent, which to some might not be particularly pleasant. Despite the scene, the Fire Beetle stew is quite a delicious meal. The Honey Ale smells as good as it looks and to most, tastes just as good.
Morgan:
It takes you about 10 minutes to make your way to the south side of town, which is where you find the tent. The tent is roughly set up and is not very large. There are some rips and tears in it but is in otherwise decent shape.
If you check out the inside:
When you walk inside the tent, you see 2 commoners with various injuries laying out on the beds. One has some burns across his chest, while the other suffers from lacerations on his hands and arms.
”Remain calm. I am a doctor and I will help tend to your wounds. Please tell me how you were injured,” starts Morgan in his best bedside manner, starting to pull out his medicines (Healer’s kit and Alchemy kit). Doctor Wynn will tend to their wounds using the “Healer” feat:

Burned Commoner ((Human)): "Oh my! You'd never believe it! There I was, just minding my own business before I hear a horn go off. Before I could make sense of what was happening, an Orc jumps me. I eventually fight him off, but as I was running away, it shot a flaming arrow at me, which lit my clothes on fire. I was able to get them off, but not before it burned my chest."
After fixing up him, you move to the other commoner with the cuts, a young girl. She begins to describe her story.
Cut Commoner ((Human)): "Me and my moms was sitting at home when our house was broken intos by a orc. It came in charging right ats me. My moms pushed him out the way with a chair but I gots cut by the orcs."
After cleaning and dressing the burns, Morgan hands the man a few clean bandages and a small vial of ointment, saying, “Change the dressing every evening for the next few days and use this salve, and there shouldn’t be too much scarring.”
After cleaning and numbing the girl’s cuts, Morgan stitches them up with tight thread, nodding to himself when they close up cleanly. Handing her a few juicy leaves and some cloth bandages, he says, “You should feel better very soon. Change your dressings every evening and put the oil from these leaves on the wounds to prevent infection.”
