Leareth was as good as his word and assisted in Cillian's performance - by casting a minor spell repeatedly to create the sound of the cowbell whenever he felt like it needed more cowbell. Afterwards he partook of the Wolf Flank, which proved much better than he expected from the name. The smell - and name - drove him away from the beetle stew.
As you spend your night partaking in ale and song, you make quick friends with a couple of locals that came in after hearing your music, as well as the owner of the Inn, so much in fact that he decided to front the first couple nights of rooms for you and your group. While talking with some of the locals, you are told that if you are looking for work, to check the job board by the Townmaster's Hall. Some of the locals also buy you a round or two of Honey Ale, the owner looking happy that there is a good time going around and that it's bringing in some coin.
”Indeed, Cillian, that is my assessment as well, though I will know more when I see these marauding ‘orcs’, I suppose. Let’s hope swinging this mace comes as easily to me as knowledge of these medicinal herbs,” he responds, indicating the healer’s kits and tinctures he has in his pack.

Gale welcomes Morgan back to their ranks and then raises his mug as he gives a happy nod of thanks to Cillian and Leareth knowing their efforts secured him drink and rest. Sure that the cowbell turned to 11 was what tipped the scale to their advantage. He sat quietly but kept his eyes and ears open gathering any intel that he could overhear from the locals. The locals are having too much of a good time to talk about anything too serious, all you're able to make out of it all is that if anyone is looking for work, the best place to check is the job board by the Townsmaster's Hall.
((Assuming there isn't much else, I'll continue the night. If there is anything anyone would of liked to have done before this point, just let me know.))
As you all finish your food and get into your rooms. Your rooms are fairly nice, a window is in each room that offers a fairly nice view of the outside, and the room is fairly warm. The bed is a little soft but not extremely. There is a lamp on the nightstand with the candle inside it, lit. The walls are not super thick, even with the windows and doors closed, noise can be heard coming from outside and the rest of the tavern. The night goes by relatively peacefully, owls and wolves can be heard coming from outside. As the sun rises, the light illuminates the room.
Never a morning person, Leareth took a while to wake up, dress and get ready for the day. Finally, he headed back to the main room to get some breakfast and meet up with the others. He wanted them to all go to check out the potential job board together, but first things first. Sure hope they have eggs here... Coffee would be too much to ask of course, but if there eggs it wouldn't be a total loss.
Waking up in the morning, Morgan spent a few moments with his eyes closed, wondering if it had all been a dream. Astonishingly, it was real! Nothing for it then but to get dressed in the strangely familiar clothing and armor, then go downstairs and get some breakfast. Lost in his own thoughts, he didn't even recognize another individual from the pentagram cave was down there as well.

Gale wakes slowly. As his feet hit the floor, he rubs his eyes and then stretches. As he wakes more, he looks around at the unfamiliar room. Still here. Wherever this is, he thinks. He shakes his head. He's not sure why he's here but assumes there is some reason. And maybe it will help keep his mind off of her. He packs his gear and dresses before heading downstairs where he finds Morgan and Leareth. "Good morning Gents. Hope the night treated you well. Looks like we're all still here in Phandalin was it?" He pulls a chair up with Leareth and motions to Morgan to join. "Don't suppose bacon and coffee are to be found eh? Maybe a tick pie or something?" But when a server shows, he asks simply for whatever the house specialty is and hopes it keeps his hunger pangs at bay.
Gale told the two about the local post board over near the town hall. He hoped it would offer some clue about what was going on, but at least it would offer a way to earn his keep until he did.

”Good thinking, Gale,” replies Morgan. “We will need some kind of job to earn our keep, though I wonder when whomever summoned us here will make an appearance to tell us why we are even here at all,” he concludes, a bit uncertainly.

Cillian wakes up groggily from the night before, likely laying in bed with any attractive drunken companion who’d he might have gotten along with the night before. He gives his partner a smile as they lay there still sleeping before he then quietly collects his clothes around the room and leaves. He hadn’t even slept in his own room last night! With that in mind the dark elf moves in the direction of his room to collect his belongings before going downstairs. As he gets ready Cillian can’t help but listen to the sound of this new world just past the wooden walls of the inn, a fresh start. Thoughts flitter through his mind as he combs his long white hair, and organizes his new backpack along with whatever had been inside,
“I’ve been given another chance. To do better, to be better, to be nothing less then perfect. Even Jesus needed a second chance right?”
Finishing his morning prep he then proceeds to make his way down the steps, towards the smell of a delicious breakfast. As he sees some of his group already gathered, he will greet Toblen with a hearty greeting and 2 gold pieces for the best possible breakfast he can provide for his whole table before moving to join them. As he approaches hearing them talk of work, he will add in saying,
“I’m all for finding work to earn our own way in this strange land, though I’ll be honest in saying that I hope there’s something more than mining work to be done in this town. Perhaps full time work as performers in this backwater town is in the cards for us Leareth? They didn’t seem to mind our pointy ears and they sure enjoyed the show last night!”
The handsome elvish Englishman says with a happy laugh, loud and jolly despite his ever so slight hangover from the previous night of revelry.
Leareth nodded sagely. "Yes, indeed, Cillian." Then he grinned, abandoning the pretense. "Though I still think it could have used more cowbell!" He laughed, then grew serious. "What say we go check out that board we saw last night? Maybe we can do better as a group by solving harder, more dangerous problems. If that doesn't work out, we'd be better off going to a big city to perform, I assume they have those here, since the people there would have more money... "
((OOC: I hope everyone had a great Halloween! I apologize for the lack of posts as it was a busy weekend for me.))
As you all leave the Inn and Tavern, you walk out to a much busier town. There are a handful of carts coming and going from the town as well as three other carts scattered about the center of town, each with someone near it, selling something. Near one is a female gnome selling what looks like jars filled with liquids. Near another is a male dwarf selling tools and near the 3rd is a male human selling what looks like weapons and armor. You pass these carts on your way to the Townmaster's Hall. The Townmaster’s hall has sturdy stone walls, a pitched wooden roof, and a bell tower at the back. The job board next to the front door features a sparse number of notices, all written in Common and in the same hand.
"Dragon...!" Leareth whistled. "That's serious business. Rather not tangle with one." He considered the quests. "Well, we can pick one of these or maybe we could try to get two done at the same time - the one to the south and the one to the southeast. What do you guys think?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Yes, I think that's a good idea Leareth," Gale adds in. "The lone lady should be warned first, and perhaps that will not lead us too far out of the way to one of the others. And if there is a dragon about," Gale pauses and looks at the others, "Well, it wouldn't hurt to have something that may be able to defeat it if we happen to need such a thing." Then he gets a quizzical look on his face and looks at the others. "You know, it's odd. We sit here talking of dragons, which yesterday would have seem the most far fetched thing I could think to discuss, but now it somehow feels normal." Gale stares off into the distance momentarily ad looks as if memories are coming back to him from things he knew in the past and he searches through it all recalling dragon lore.
