The Forge of Fury

Aregarak doesn't like the stinky diseased water and stays by the door - in fact he's considering washing off back in that pool where we rested after this.

Lana noticed Spirit's uncomfortableness of being in the water and after she realized it was an empty room she told Spirit to get back on the lower steps to stay dry. Wading ahead with Bel as he went to search what was floating in the water.

Their darkvision guiding them, Lana and Bel wade neck-deep through the smelly, scummy pool to find a rotted leather satchel that has drifted up off the watery floor, floating by virtue of a couple sealed potion flasks that bob on top of the water. Meanwhile, Bel’s foot strikes what must have been the previous owner of these items—an orc skeleton, almost completely unseeen in the murk.

// Lana and Bel, please make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw to avoid infection from the diseased water. //

Reaches out for the Satchel and the potion flasks. "Lets hurry and get out of this murk it's foul smelling" she tells Bel.

The satchel dissolves as you pull it towards you, leathery bits just coming apart and falling back into the water, but you're able to hold both flasks easily in your hands. 

“Yes, Let’s hurry” as he follows Lana.

Bel and Lana comes out of the pool, stinking something awful. They seem to have managed to avoid ingesting any of the foul water. That smell, though...

When you examine the two potions in the torchlight, you note that one contains a cloudy green fluid that has a jellyfish-like bubble floating in it. The other vial obviously has liquid in it—you can feel it sloshing around, and you can hear it if you give it a shake—but you can't actually see any fluid in it. 

// Map is updated...let me know which way you'd like to go. If you test the potions, you can tell that one is a potion of water breathing and the other is a potion of invisibility. Make sure someone puts them on their character sheet ;) //

Bel, shaking the nastiness off of him, tells Lana “put those in you pack, they might come in handy” He then climbs the stairs and waits for everyone so they can regroup.

Lana reaches out places the flasks in her pouch. "This stench is horrible I am not sure what's going to get this off of us" she said to him "perhaps we can bathe in the water back where we rested."

“Not a bad idea” he says as he motions for her to lead the way.

/ooc are we heading back towards the room where we rested or another direction?

If you head back to the waterfall pool, you are able to wash yourself in the cold but clear water. The waterfall will pummel you clean in less than a minute. Either way you will be drenched head to toe. 

(OOC - I assume the river is too fast to just stand in and rinse off? - I think we should head towards the other set of stairs to the east)

Lana looks back the direction of the waterfall "well I am not trying to impress anyone and I can take a proper bath when we are back in town lets just move forward" she tells them.

 GB smells himself and clothes and shrugs.

"GB smelled worse."

"ok, lets move on then" as he sniffs his arm and gets a chill from the odor.

"I've spent months at sea with ships full of men who've smelt better than us right now"

Lana smiles at Aregarak "You sure know hot to compliment a girl" she smirks and notices Spirit backing away from her a little.
