Glowing coals in a crude hearth illuminate this large cave. The room is shaped roughly like an arrowhead, 40' by 20' at its longest dimensions, and the ceiling rises about fifteen feet above the floor. Rubbish and skins cover the floor, and see a sinkhole on the right side of the room, about 6 feet in diameter 

A horse-sized lizard at the far end of the room sees you, lets out a piercing cry, then slithers menacingly toward you! Thankfully, you have the initiative.

Aregarak, Lana, Spirit, GB, and Bel may act. Jane sees the incredibly large lizard coming and freaks out, running away back down the corridor.

Bel pulls his blade and steps into the darkness to make a surprise attack

Lana readies her bow and lets loose an arrow as Spirit runs growling at the lizard creature and pounces onto it trying to gnash with her mighty jaws.

Aregarak moves forward to meet the giant lizard and swings his mighty greatsword.....

The big lizard collapses under Lana and GB's sudden barrage, even as Aregarak rushes in to meet it. It struggles to rise, but even as it does, a massive, pale, reptilian head reaches out of the hole in the ground nearby. In one swift motions, it snaches the the horse-sized lizard and drags it down through the hole like a rag doll! 

The hole is slightly too small for the big lizard's body, but it crumbles through the sheer force that the larger creature puts on it. The ground below your feet begins to crack as the sinkhole widens...
