PCs who want to be magic users as I said this will be hard to work out magic. How would your PCs sell their using technology or racial abilities from alien races and not magic?

I figured tech, with some self-policing of picking spells that can feasibly be expected to be tech based?

Ditto. I figure it'll actually be pretty easy to convert as long as you have a good imagination.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Oh jeez this is too much fun...
Ability scores: 1489141214
Favorite Star Trek Character as well as series/film and why: Quark (such a dastardly little sh*t who keeps teasing us with redemptive qualities like a slip of gold-pressed latinum on a string), TNG for show (is this even a question?!?), and IV for movie (sorry/not sorry...it's a soft spot because it was one of the few sci fi movies both of my parents agreed on when I was growing up - father wanting Star Trek, mother wanting corny feelgood movie)
Name: Jic
Race: Changeling (breaking with canon since Odo was supposedly the only changeling to break away from the Founders...but that's what fanfic is for!)
Class: Druid
Subclass: Circle of the Stars (his star map is a tricorder)
Position: Science
Backstory: Jic was one of the Hundred Changelings sent out by the Founders (although he knows nothing about that). He landed on Tryria 5 where the indigenous population are nature-worshiping nomads. His early years were spent wandering in wonder and solitude, simply observing everything the planet had to offer. As an adolescent, he was discovered by the locals and revered as a god of nature, which he found entertaining and intriguing as he learned about other sentient life. Years later, Star Fleet made their first contact with the planet and blew Jic's mind. Ever the wide-eyed inquisitive hungry for a better understanding of the universe, Jic talked his way aboard and was eventually taken to Starfleet Academy where he had access to the best education in cutting-edge science the galaxy had to offer! But that was just the beginning... *cue theme*

Maybe magic could be exclusive to home planet and of certain order of people maybe?
