Ash makes sure she’s up early, knowing Kay and Ben will be off. She’s maybe up even before the boys. They will notice she’s in her full combat gear and armour. Layers of leathers showing under her shawl and cowl. A blade or three peeking out when she moves or reaches for something.

If it’s available she would have ordered something like hot milk and smoked kippers (or similar) for breakfast. If they have that she’ll be in feline heaven.

She greets the boys as they come down, has a polite breakfast with them, banters about the night before, and then sees them on their way. Perhaps watching them until they’re out of sight from a rooftop.

When they are gone, she’ll go an find out what Ess is up to. She’s happy to hang with him and go about the rounds around town, checking in for a hello with the various elements of the city: the docks, the council, the bars, etc. Just to check that all is well and preparations are going as expected.

((I think it's just IOUs to be redeemed for cash when Aubreck returns.  If Aubreck is likely to return while we are out of town, was he going to be leaving again, or did we convince him to stick around? I can't recall, but if he's going to bounce, then leaving ours to be able to be cashed out too might be good. The lizard gets a full share? Korrik's shadow wants in too... ;P ))

Ben will greet Ash,

"You're looking fresh for the day, my favorite tabaxi friend. How was your evening? Mine wasn't particularly fruitful in any sense."

He has a cup of strong tea and some sweetened porridge for breakfast.

"If we're not back in time for the meeting, distract and delay as best you can. Shouldn't be more than a day delayed. Let Aubrek know our plans are ongoing and we'll have a meeting with him as soon as possible."

Ben rubs his forehead,

"Were we always this busy?"

"Just like hurrying to get that rented cart back in time after we hauled some crocs with it... just on a much larger scale."

Ash nods at Ben’s instructions and reminders, while her needle-teeth gnaw on whatever’s left of the fishy-carcass and bones, washed down with milk.

She chuckles at her own private joke when Korrik mentions ‘crocs’ and ‘larger scales’.

”May the wind be in your sales for the trip, friends!”. She gives Ben and Korrik a slow relaxed blink each, to show she’s confident in their abilities.

Kay gives Ash a wink when she chuckles at his pun.

Ash’s smile broadens as she catches on that the subtle wordplay was deliberate.

She wonders, too, how many of those she just misses, since Korrik delivers them in such a unassuming way.

She makes a mental note to be on the listen out for them from now on.

"We got the deposit back on the cart, but I think probably were shorted on that crocodile skin."

He shakes his head,

"A good move on her part, we had no idea."

He'll smile at Ash,

"Here's hoping for the best of winds and sales! So much merchandise to offload."

Ash chuckles at Ben’s pun too. Then remembers herself, “Oh!… I meant to say, if you find anything useful in the city, here, take this…”. She hands him a slightly bulging pouch. “Maybe you’ll see something I can use… Maybe you’ll need it for something you’all can use… Or… Health potions?… I don’t know…”.

She looks thoughtful. “I don’t think coin is going to help us much under the ocean, but the right item might”.

”I’ve managed to secure water-breathing and a swim-aid for myself, through my contacts, but… I don’t know, just hold onto the cash. If you see anything that could help…”.

”Here… Use your best judgment…”. As she says this she gives him a slightly appraising look. And nods satisfied.

"Ess? Anything you need us to pick up for you? Your dentristry will have to wait until your there in person, more thinking gear we can't get here in Marshswamp easily."

"Ash, you have any contacts there that'd be good to touch base with? Perhaps folks who might enjoy fine fabrics?"

((Foggy recollection, are we heading back to Neverwinter? Korrik's contact there was Ess, and most of his contacts were DRG members, if I recall?))

((Also, Ben may notice a few bruises on Kay that weren't there last night, think he at least took a slap to the face last night.))

((I feel like I already did a criminal contacts check way back when we started accumulating goods. My memory said that was a dead end… hmm I’ll try to dig it out. Moving stolen goods sounds like something the underground in Neverwinter could do, but I feel like it didn’t go anywhere. I can’t remember why)).

Ben snags the bag of coins from Ash reverently and secrets away on his person.

"We'll keep and eye out for whatever we can find that would help you specifically and us generally. We aren't always going to be underwater, hopefully."

Ben pulls out his carefully forged documents showing the silks are all proper and legal and admires his several days of hard work (and bad rolls),

"People that want legal, completely above the board fabrics."

Korrik has a look.

"Forks and spoons,  Ben! That's some silky smooth work you've done."

((While not a forger himself, Kay has made use of his fair share of forged papers, so can appreciate the craftsmanship.))

“Well at this rate, you won’t need an underground contact at all!… These could now easily pass as ‘legitimate surplus stock’ for sure!…”.

”Better price that way anyway!…”, Ash admires the forgery too!

Ben is pleased with the admiration of his work. He makes a face,

"Remind me that I need to refreshed my stock of papers and inks. I used an embarrassingly large number of my supplies making that."
