"Would be odd to play if you didn't trust the other players with your coin." Molle snorts, as she picks up another card.

She rolls her eyes at her card, not even trying to hide it this time. A hand digs into her coin purse again, and produces another gold coin. "What will you guys do with the winnings? I would try and buy a nice new weapon. Maybe a lance, or a well made longsword. Maybe even a nice set of tools. Sturdy, well made stuff, y'know?"
Erika takes a hearty swig from the flask. The liquor seems to have a warming effect immediately, or at least, her suddenly flush cheeks are telling that story. "Thank you, Zira." She looks at the flask. "Maybe my winnings can go to a nice flask of my own. To keep the bite of winter away." She looks at Zira again, not sure if she wants it back or to continue the flask around the circle. (If Zira motions for her to, she'll pass the flask to Molle).
Trixi heard the deliberate crack of a branch but Areon still appeared suddenly. "Well done," Trixi smiled, "and agree on keeping an eye out - Zira did not exactly said "they are just travelers", just that we are strong enough to fight them off, but better not to do it. Sounds like it make sense to be cautious."
She walked with the ranger back to the camp. "Not that I hate gambling, no, just never could get into that small pictures with many rules and need to deceive each other. Not good at this, you know?" She sighed admitting that unpleasant truth. "They all look like they have fun, though."
Garron smiles, and you can see clearly now that he understands the rules, that he is very fond of the cards that he was dealt. When the conversation rolls around to spending their winnings he says, "I'll just be happy to relieve you of your coin, I don't really need any armor, and my sword is the only weapon that I trust. Perhaps I'll purchase a potion, those could save someone's life in a battle."
As he is waiting for the third card to be dealt out, he takes a long gulp from the flask if it is passed around and asks the Zira, "How often would you say you encounter bandits on these expeditions? I mean, should we expect a conflict, or is it just to scare us into shape?"

"It's a solid investment," Zira smirks in reply to Erika before giving Alistir a scratch. Then looking to Garron she answers his questions. "Not so much getting there as being there and coming back. We tried the subterfuge of hiding but we've found if good people know us and respect what we're doing its less likely we are robbed. I mean the force of sheer good opinion. I had a man once try to rob me in am alley way in Ospel...the Holy City itself but when I called out and said I was with Holbright's Institute I had every passing mage in earshot come to my aid. As Garron debates the rules, Ted notices he’s looking thirsty and offers him a swig from his own flask. As he wordlessly passes it over with a nod, he attempts to swap their first cards. Sleight of Hand 20. If succesful, Garron is now the proud owner of the following card.

Garron would find the liquid to be sickly sweet if he accepted, and very low on alcohol content. The container is very cheap and seems to have a hole in the side, and is only a quarter full.
As he leans forward to take another card, Ted comments on the music. “Heresunge you say Gen? It’s not bad at all, Erika’s got some stiff competition.” He teases, “Have you heard of any expeditions coming from there? A little thievery could cut the length of this expedition by quite a bit, if you are willing to bend your morals. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind heading over for a better listen and a meet and greet. Have you heard much of Heresunge hospitality?”
Drawing his second card, Ted leans back with a cocky grin, putting forward his coins to match the bets without raising.

Eyeing the small stack of gold that Gen-ga has dropped, she looks at him. Is that a bluff in an attempt to buy the pot, or does he look like he might actually have a good hand?

"Mmm. Win or lose, once this hand is up I can play a restful song. The night is not cold enough to have taken the tune from my flute, and I can keep a mellow melody. Or!"
She looks to Ted.
"Something to put a cricket into your boot, if booze and dance are more your intent."
Erika pulls her last card.

She looks at her hand, eyes Gen-ga, and folds. "Seems like you have purchased the pan, Gen-ga."
To Molle, she smiles. "Happy to encourage a song! I am sure we can find a common note."
Her part in the card game done, she takes out her flute and begins playing a song that, should one be inclined, could easily be sung on top of. It's a theme common to taverns, so anyone who's familiar with a tankard and a late night has probably sung the words once or twice. She taps the side of her shield with her boot, giving a bit of percussion to the mix.

"As for this I think it should cover a night at one of the better inns for the party near Timbergrove," Gen says putting the gold away having mentioned the last town before the pass into Silva Donard which most would remember baring incident the party should reach the following evening.
"Please Erika do play another," Zira says leaning closer to Gen as if settling in to get more comfortable.
Gen does not seem to mind. In fact the bronze dragonborn shifts ever so slightly to place an arm around Zira's shoulders so she can move closer. Alistir then crawls into Gen-ga's lap pawing at it, making biscuits, before settling in to rest purring loudly as the dragonborn strokes the tressym's puffy black coat.
"I...maybe not so much a dancing tune like that one " Gen says as Erika finishes. "Play something to send us all off to rest," they ask as Zira nods her yellow cat like eyes drooping closed as Gen smiles looking to Erika with anticipation of her next choice in song.

Placing his cards back into the deck, Ted boasts, as he congratulates Gen-Gar ”I’ll let you win then, best you keep a hold of our Inn money anyway.”
Belting out the chorus to Erikas song, as he flails around the camp, Ted is having the time of his life. He is understandably miffed when Gen requests a change in song ,and stares daggers at the Dragonborn. “I know you think this trip this trip should be pleasure free, but really? We were enjoying that!” Ted looks around for back up, “It’s really not the worst thing to let yourself go a bit Gen. Of the millions of people across this world, every single one of them is looking for pleasure, and everything they do is in pursuit of it. Just some hide it more than others. Work hard, play hard, that’s my motto - it’s not healthy to hold back.” He leaves Gen with w little wink, and gives a thumbs up and nod of approval to Erika for her music as he starts his patrols.
