OOC: Permission to attempt to wreck Strahd's shit? Sorry if this gets a little confusing.
Briella frowns. "Damn you Strahd. I will make you release her." Clasping her amulet tightly she send out every prayer she can before opening her eyes to stare him down.
"I need to hit him with everything I have." She thinks as she forces out a small bit of her energy into a Spiritual Weapon that takeS the form of a large mace next to Strahd.
Bonus Action: Spiritual weapon attack:26 Damage: 5 force damage
"Strahd, you shall fear the DAWN!" A 30 foot column of bright sunlight rains down on Strahd as Briella casts Dawn. Dex Save16 for half damage. Damage: 27 Radiant Damage. Briella will keep her concentration on this spell.
Animal attacks(Strahd will once again need to make DC13 Strength saves if the wolves hit.)
OOC: Two Crits! :D And now Strahds standing in sunlight. >:)
Spirit weapon Crit Damage: 4
Briarfang Crit Damage: 7
Praise Ehlonna! Unfortunately if Martha is standing next to Strahd shes gonna take some damage from the dawn spell Sorry. Martha needs to make a dex save dc 16 or take full damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Technically, anyone in thirty feet of Martha already is in sunlight ;D
Martha is not amused by sunlight, Dex Save: 17. Total of 4 radiant damage. “Briella... I don’t appreciate you ruining my plans. I think I’m gonna need to... incapacitate you.”
Strahd can't hide his surprise as death takes him into the black abyss. Surprise turns to rage, and the Pillarshone of Ravenloft trembles with fury, shaking dust from the ceiling of all the rooms in the castle. The shudders abate as Strahd's burning hatred melts away, replaced at last with relief. The dark orbs of his eyes wither and sink into his skull as his corpse deteriorates before you. In a matter of moments, only bones, dust, and noble garb remain. Strahd von Zarovich, the dark lord of Barovia, is dead and gone.
Ireena screams in rage at the death of her master, and the red angry glare in her eyes slowly dissipate, the control over her ends - but her fate was sealed long ago by the devil.
"I would have liked to have seen outside Barovia..." She says weakly, and slumps to the ground, dead, the longsword clattering loudly next to her. In a moment, she too, is nothing but ashes.
You notice something you haven't seen in weeks, perhaps months - sunlight. Sunlight is coming through the window of the castle, and the fog is gone. As you head to the outskirts of Barovia, every town you pass by has Barovians marveling at the sun, as if the star in the sky was something new. In a way, it is. The animals in the land do not touch you anymore. The vistani hastily leave, and the people of Barovia have their futures back. However, the Barovians with no souls have faded away. A small price to pay....for freedom.
As you reach the edge of Barovia, you come to the gate you entered when you first came to this land. Stella looks at the gate, looks back at you, and gives you a smile as if her life is about to be born brand new. You can tell the smile is also a thanks, and no words are needed, but sadly, she knows she might never see any of you again - and the pain of what you've all lost to get here won't be forgotten. She looks over you all longer than you expected, but finally walks through the gates and disappears.

Change.
A shift.

Analysis.
The Medusa senses the change in reality. She raises her head and listens, knows, comprehends. It travels past the endless room of stone statues, a tribute to all who tried and failed. It stops to think. Things have altered. It's different now. The undead one has been killed. Its time for a new plaything. Or maybe, just maybe, to...take things into her own hands? Perhaps. Such things are so trivial to it. This universe is different. The laws are different. But the prison must hold. She has the Triarchy. Yes. She also has her Father. Dendrosathol. Just thinking his name. Anger. Oh, how I hate him. He will remain in the box for this eternity and beyond.
Psathyrella remembers when the Ministers came to her, two eternities ago. Draco Scabra, Xanthoceras, and Sophronia Wort. Should she release them? They would do her bidding, and bring ruin to galaxies and beyond. Their power was beyond comprehension. But so was hers. Perhaps. She remembers when Cadamosto, Dogon, and Ashen Chanterelle came trying to recover the Triarchy. They also failed. She could sense the death of Ashen Chanterelle. Whoever did that will pay. More thinking. Analysis. There. Different reality now. Soon.
I built this maze. I know every room. Filled it with horrors from beyond with just a thought. It is time to leave. I will take matters into my own hands. But the Triarchy. Must be careful. I will take them, too. Must be very careful.
Just wanted to take a moment and thank you all very much for being a part of this adventure.
The time you took to be part of this experience meant a lot to me, you all had amazing characters, and it was a pleasure to be your DM.
I've never DM'ed this adventure before, and I can tell you it was quite amazing and fun. To be fair, I made up a "few" things, obviously, and jostled around with the complexity of certain things, but most of all, you allowed me to have a great time in a game that I adore.
If you guys liked this adventure, the way I DM, and would like to continue with a new campaign, I would be happy to have you all along. But, as this adventure ends, another one, someplace, somewhere, begins. Feel free to PM me anytime with anything personal you might want to say, but I am thrilled to have been a part of this with you all.
Well done, Crispy! You know how much I appreciate your hard work and joy for the game. It’s contagious. I’ll continue to be your whipping boy, in whatever campaign you wish to go to next.
And I’m sad you guys took out Strahd before I got a chance to complete my first assasination! I was all queued up to one-shot Ireena.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Just for giggles, here was my post for round #2. I'm just curious to see how the rolls would have turned out!
-----------------------------
Out of the shadows, a blurry outline of a humanoid swiftly appears behind Ireena, and in a swirling whirlwind of action, Imryll attempts to assassinate Ireena:
Attack 1a (Rapier +1): 8 to hit, Damage: 47
Attack 1b (Hand Crossbow): 14 to hit, Damage: 25
Attack 2a (Rapier +1): 18 to hit, Damage: 27
Attack 2b (Hand Crossbow): 18 to hit, Damage: 36
Then, as her Cunning Action bonus action, she'll hide in shadows (Stealth): 14 and whither back into the background.
OOC: Haha, so, now for post-game secret time! Fun fact, Martha planned to kill Grishkar after Strahd, then she intended to challenge Bors for rule of Barovia, which she would then give to Ireena and/or Ezmeralda. Buuut, all of those resolved themselves pretty well
Wow. Well done, crew. And bravo, Crispy! Kia was a blast to play, and the adventure was suitably weird and spooky. I am happy to say there were several points when I did not know what to do, because every path seemed just as dreadful as the next. Yay! I’d never played a monk before, either, and I have a new appreciation for the class. I had a blast.

Its over. -sigh of relief- Great job Crispy that was a really intense game with several close calls. I'd love to keep playing with you all.
For Briella this might be the last adventure she has, when she finds her way back to the Feywild she's going to leave her temple and return to her family. She still believes, but now she has a different perspective on life. Of course she would invite the others to come with her. Her parents would love to meet the people who saved their daughter's life and should any of you ever ask for her aid she will be more then happy to take up her mace for you all.
Yes, Kia’s life is still in major turmoil, with her “Celestial” patron issue still unresolved. Or maybe there’s no issue. But he did teach her Infernal...

It was a wonderful campaign and my only regret was not making Grishkar more of a damage-dealer. I do think it was wonderfully fitting that Martha had ultimate goals to fight Grishkar and I drew Martha to kill by chance. I was too late to respond before everyone moved on, but the acid bomb suicide may have been a good time to take Kia's eye since the save was failed (I thought of anyone, she would succeed).
Grishkar also planned to free Bors from the painting and spend the time within the maze to convince him that Martha and Briella were hinderances that held the keys to his rulership and conquest of the new land. Kia and Imryll could be useful if the crusade was presented as righteous. Grishkar would ultimately flex his Lawful Evil muscle and act as Bors' army-builder/enhancer while developing an underground army of neophytes and undead to rise up and take Barovia for Nerull.
Ooohh modify that a bit: Grishkar would try to pervert Bors' perspective and bring him under Nerull's machinations. When Grishkar makes the move for Lichdom, he would try to convince Bors to ascend into a Death Knight as well.
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
Imryll is a loner street urchin, with no family. She has no plans of going anywhere, other than working on her newly acquired backstabbing ability, thinking that it'll come in handy protecting herself. She always had a "thing" for Bors, though, being the strapping handsome young man that he is, but growing up on the streets has a healthy disdain for the bourgeois.
