Meanwhile, Vahorn leers at the prisoners as the converter cultist follow Noell backing away to the interrogation room behind them.
Once inside, Vahorn stands in the corner, his arms crossed. ”So, you’ve joined Manciple Tobias, he told us outside. Not your first instance of joining a group of zealots, but this is an improvement at least. While he may be able to protect you, you’ll always be at risk while your old cult are still out there, not to mention one of your new priests is still their prisoner. Why don’t you tell us everything you know about your snake friends, what they want, and their whereabouts, so we can make sure they don’t come looking for revenge.”
”I think you can see when the writing’s on the wall. Do you know that was the undermayor’s daughter you kidnapped? Someone’s gonna’ hang. And if the Manciple speaks up for those newly faithful? Well, it looks like you’ll be the one to swing for all of them. But I bet they didn’t know what you do. A life lived in earnest, true to your way. Unashamed. Unapologetic. I think you’re a murderous snake, but I figured a real believer wouldn’t be so ashamed to tell us about it. Unless I suppose none of you really believed in any of what you were doing. You just like kidnapping little girls and found someone who gave you an excuse to do it.”
"So," Noell says to the cheeky prisoner once she's sequestered him in a private room with only herself and Vahorn to witness her interrogation. "Why don't we get right down to business?" Privately, she's unimpressed by the cheeky attitude of the man, not believing in his true conversion to the manciple's preaching for one instant. Still, she resolves to get down to the good-cop bad-cop play that she knows she and Vahorn could pull off with some competence, trying to assume her role as the more understanding of the two parties. It makes her grit her teeth a little, having to play nice to someone she has so little respect for, but she gets her satisfaction vicariously from listening to her friend eviscerate the man with his words. Once he's done speaking, she steps in, her tone much more understanding and forgiving.
"Moreover, tell us where you came from. How many of you came with your cult. Is this all of you, or are there more out there, lost in the forest, or perhaps that temple below? And where did those yuan-ti come from? Did they travel with you, or were they already here? If there are more of them, we need to know," she says urgently. "Otherwise we might not be able to protect you. Manciple Tobias means well, but he follows the teachings of the Hearth. Those pure ideals don't always match up with the messiness of reality."
Hayeth shakes her head getting nowhere using their current tactics "Well you've been most helpful friend"
As she says friend she moves her fingers through the air a faint sparkling trail moving after them, her eyes flashing violet briefly speaking further "uacht mianach, déan iad a bhriseadh síos, iad a thabhairt gar, iad a bhogha" in a voice that's not her own as she casts Charm Person her DC is13

Assuming you interrogate all the prisoners using the tactics at your disposal, you will learn the following and be relatively sure its true:
Manciple Tobias seemed to only cast the one spell, which Hayeth believes was zone of truth.
He offered his support for clemency for those who would bind themselves to his service and service to Anwyn and the community.
The cult came from far away, a jungle land called Zzass, beyond the Summer Kingdoms and Menekhet far to the south.
There were 12 humanoid cultists and the three masters who all set out from Zzass together. Some cultists died on the way or were killed by you. These six are all who remain. Aleesa was the only local they had tried to recruit thus far.
The cultists have no idea who Derrik is.
Manciple Tobias did not ask about Derrik at all.
The goal of the cult was to break an ancient seal by getting an unstained soul to commit a murder in the name of the serpent god. The masters did not say what the seal guarded.
Sorry to narrate out the results, I just think things were lagging.

Hayeth considers what they have learned and rubs her temples as they leave the barracks after the interrogations "Well, that was a lot, it's good that Aleesa was the only one that they've tried recruiting, that means we should be fairly safe here, we just need need to be warry of any newcomers"
She will then take a moment to hand brush her slightly frazzled hair back down to control it

Vahorn nibbles on some seeds as they discuss, spittimg their shells onto the doorstep of the barracks, “Yes, and it seems all of their number are accounted for. Derrik must have come across some other danger out there. Still, we’d best bury that place for good. Other than that, I guess our job is done.”
Tentatively, Vahorn glances at Noell before straightening his back, forcing a smile as he looks around at his companions. “You’ve all been... um... useful. The forests are better off from your presence. Did you plan to stick around? Noell tells me.... um.. drinking fermented fruit juice is something you do as a group. It seems silly to me, but maybe we should um... do that?”
Some were born into it, it is common in their homeland, some were down on their luck and wanted the free food and shelter, some were drawn in by promises of power.

Hayeth laughs heartily throwing her head back, she gives Vahorn a look and wipes her eyes a little "I wouldn't say no to some Fermented Fruit Juice Vahorn perhaps we can get to know each other some more as a group, I would agree we seem to work together pretty well!"
She looks around the rest of the group smiling and taking a deep breath and will put her hands behind her head and walk towards the Tavern

You all travel to the tavern. It is a bit crowded, but the staff find you a table quickly. Oleira comes over to you table and says, "Dinner and a round of drinks are on the house. I gave Joe a healing draught, it seemed to be working, I can see if he's up to seeing you if you'd like."
