It is not DDB's goal to meet that expectation to attract those customers, unless attracting those customers is worth the effort put into attracting them. If it's literally 20 of you asking for it, that's not worth their while. They can focus on something 100 people asked for. The idea that someone is entitled to a change just because they asked for it is an egotistical fallacy.
I'll chip in and say I do want them to actually add full backwards compatibility as promised.
Backwards compability means anything that wasn't included in the PHB revision is still legal and accessible, and are valid choices by the PHBs own description: "But the book contains many new or redesigned elements, and the versions of things in this book replace versions from older books." - The book does not invalidate all of the existing options from Xanathar's and Tasha's, on the contrary. It specifically says it only updates the PHB. This is not a new edition. It is a revision, hence why DNDBeyond doesn't even list a lot of XGtE and TCoE options as Legacy: Because they are not.
You're also making an assumption of how many people want X over Y. I can promise you, we are a lot more than 20 people asking for the full backwards compatibility with al older books that wasn't updated/redesigned.
Again, there was no such promise that all features would carry forward. To claim there was is a blatant lie. And the fact that multiple optional features from Tasha's made it into the base classes in the 2024 PHB highlights that the ones that didn't were intentionally left out. They're not MEANT to exist in the new form.
Blatant lie, huh? Just because you aren't aware of what was promised by WoTC doesn't give you an excuse to state that other people are lying about it. Maybe you should do some research first before commenting on other people's posts -- and not use such inflammatory and offensive language against other peoples' comments.

What are you talking about? That video supports what I'm saying. Since the big thing people are whining about is the Tasha's Optional Features and those belong to the 2014 classes, those are replaced and therefore not usable in a 2024 class. Unless you're saying any feature from old classes left out also carries forward, which would be an awful take. The class itself has been replaced in full, meaning base AND optional features are replaced with the new form.
JC specifically calls out things that aren't gone if they aren't replaced: Races/species, spells, subclasses, feats. All of these have content in Xanathar's and Tasha's that he used as examples for what carries forward.
I decided to finally try to make characters with the new rules, foolishly thinking any huge problems would have been fixed by now. Turns out, paladins and rangers can't pick a fighting style. This is an issue that was reported on the first page of this thread, on September 3rd, i.e., almost a month ago. And it's not some unique feature requiring new functionality, it's working fine on 2014 characters.

Come on dndbeyond, this is embarrassing!
Doesn't make it any better that you can't pick it there, but that has an easy fix to make your sheet playable at least. Under Features, you can Manage Feats and add it manually.
Does Matel or WOTC have any idea how out of their depth the programming folks are at dndbeyond? I don't say this as criticism of them, I suspect they are wildly understaffed and underpaid. This implementation has made transparently clear that, as things stand, they need more resources or d&d 2024 is going to be a disaster.
Harness Divine Power, from Tasha's, is not available when you make a new character with the 2024 rules. I have a Twilight Cleric where all features seem to be there except this one (we are level 4 though).

This is deliberate. The Tasha's features were to upgrade classes, and the 2024 classes have been rebalanced. Some of the Tasha's features were ported over, some have become irrelevant in various ways, and some presumably they didn't feel were necessary.
You can as long as you have access to them. You should have access to a few Boons, Origin, and Fighting Style feats with the Free Rules. The full list:
Ability Score Improvement Alert Archery Boon of Combat Prowess Boon of Dimensional Travel Boon of Fate Boon of Irresistible Offense Boon of the Night Spirit Boon of Truesight Defense Great Weapon Fighting Savage Attacker Skilled Two-Weapon Fighting
Anything more than that requires access to the 2024 PHB.

Hey are you going to add the Exploder's Guide to Wildemount to the new rules I can't use there content either and I paid for that any of the subclasses or any of spells are available for my players or me to use

It's 3rd party content so they can't update it without consent with those 3rd parties. They are in process of negotiations. You may have to accept that it might never happen. In mean time you can update it yourself by homebrewing a copy and making necessary changes.

They have indeed promised that it would have full backwards compatibility until the "old" content had been revised too.
I do wonder where you have the proof that it was intentionally left out and not meant to exist as content supported by the 2024 revised PHB. I can point to the PHB that seems to say nothing about missing content:
This is the 2024 version of the fifth edition Player’s Handbook. If you’ve read the 2014 version, much of this book will feel familiar, since the fundamental rules of the game are the same. But the book contains many new or redesigned elements, and the versions of things in this book replace versions from older books.
Emphasis mine. Seems to indicate that all the book does it add new things and redesign some elements, but otherwise be the same as the old PHB (Which is fully compatible with all the current extra sourcebooks) This is why we want this added, and we are a lot more than 20 people.
Hey are you going to add the Exploder's Guide to Wildemount to the new rules I can't use there content either and I paid for that any of the subclasses or any of spells are available for my players or me to use
They have stated that they are working with third party content partners to have them update their books to the new rules, but don't have an ETA on when any of these updates might be completed.
I've read because the pre-req's show them with the word 'feature' and since the Pacts are not features in 2024 PHB (they are invocations themselves), they are not legal choices.
Trying to make an acolyte and the Magic Initiate Origin Feat is only showing cleric, but I should be able to choose druid or wizard as well, correct? I am making a cleric, but I should be able take spells from those other classes correct?

Hello,
In my 2014 characters the 2024 spells do not show anymore, although my DM shared his book with me.
I was able to see and select them some time ago.
I'm beginning to think they don't know how to fix things without breaking other things.
They have stated that they are working with third party content partners to have them update their books to the new rules, but don't have an ETA on when any of these updates might be completed.
The "Wooden Staff" druidic focus can't be equipped as a quarterstaff like the Arcane Focus Staff can. Same goes for the legacy version
