Whether the pre-5.5 ones will become available is AFAIK not confirmed either way.

 There's not. If your DM allows the Xanathar's options that aren't already ported to 5.5e (note that 2 of them made it into the 5.5e PHB) you can leave the spot blank and note it on your sheet's Notes.
