It's a 2014 book that has not been reprinted into 2024 version of D&D, so... yeah, that's intended.

Other 2014 stuff like the Fey Touched feat has been updated to include 2024 spells. The races in this book should be granting access to both, to follow that trend.

 
That's because Fey-Touched spell was reprinted in the 2024 PHB. There is no 2024 reprint of the Eberron book (yet).

2014 books use 2014 content. The Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, a 2014 version book, gives the 2014 version of Fey-Touched.

2024 books use 2024 content The 2024 PHB gives the 2024 version of Fey-Touched.

It is the policy and intention of this website/toolset to provide the books, and content they provide, as is. Even to the point of deliberately replicating printed typos. 

So, no. Eberron, 2014 version book, is not going to give 2024 versions of anything because there are no 2024 versions of anything in the book.

 You can absolutely make a homebrew copy and replace the 2014 spells with the 2024 versions.

As a side note, if you're playing via Discord with the Avrae bot, the bot will automatically use the 2024 versions of the spells if your server or character settings are set to 2024 as the default.

Officially, any features that grant a specific spell (like 2014 Fey Touched's Misty Step or Mark of Detection's Magical Detection spells) will continue to grant the 2014 version of that spell. Any features that grant a choice of spell (like Fey Touched's second spell or Mark of Detection's Spells of the Mark) should include the 2024 versions.

That means Magical Detection (which grants the 2014 spell) is currently working as intended, but Spells of the Mark (which provides a choice among 2014 spells only) is not. I'll flag that one with the devs.

That's what I meant, updating the Spells of the Mark feature on those subraces. Forgot to specify that. Thanks for passing that on.

So sorry to dredge this thread up, but the old Eberron book appears to have lost an image right here. Not sure if this is related to the release of the new one, but it seemed to happen around the same time?

Specifically, the House Ghallanda logo in the Mark of Hospitality section is not displaying, and this code is there instead:

I added a space to the closing tag because oddly enough, if I include the code from that page in this post without any modifications, it shows the proper image.

In character creation, I am unable to select Armor of Agathys as a 1st level spell when making a level 1 wizard with a Species of Mark of Warding Dwarf.  It seems the system isnt giving me the entire spell list from the Spells of the Mark species trait.  It gives me Alarm but not Armor of Agathys.  Is this a bug?

You need access to the 2014 PHB. That spell isn't in the Basic Rules and, while the spell list calls it out, that doesn't grant access to the spell.

Expanded Rules and Adventures books aren't meant to be compatible without the Core books.

This did correct the lack of options populating.  I had the 2014 PHB shared with me for access to the resources but I had to purchase it myself in order to access them in my own internal character creator.

Character options from shared content are only available if you're making the character in the campaign where the content is being shared.

Correct. The character just needed to remain in a campaign where the spell was shared. 

Why is my Steel Defender not showing up automagically in my Extras for my Battle Smith Artificer?  I took the Homunculus infusion, and it shows up automagically.

Also, when I try to add the Steel Defender manually, I select "Add an Extra" -> "Battle Smith Defender", which then shows:

Notice it says Iron Defender, not Steel Defender.

And Iron Defender has completely different stats and actions from the Steel Defender listed in the class features.  And Steel Defender is not an available creature to pick.

I mean... this book is nearly 10 years old, how are these still an issue?

Because the "Extras" tab does not have proper support for dynamic stat blocks (i.e., those whose stats depend on the stats of the controlling creature or the level of the spell slot used to create them). This is a problem in a few other areas too, like Beast Master Rangers and various summoning spells, but nothing has been done about it so far.

It does add a Homunculus Servant entry automatically if you're using the 5e version, but it doesn't actually work properly and most of the dynamic stats are incorrect.

The tinkering you have done in your free time has borne you a faithful companion, an iron defender.
Adding a creature of this category will be outside of normal game rules.

That, I believe, is a relic of an old playtest version of the 5e Artificer class that the character builder used to have partial support for. It should've been removed long ago, but I guess it hasn't.

A lot of the long-standing issues with the character builder seem to be the result of a combination of two things: poor design decisions made when it was first built that made extending and updating it difficult, and a lack of desire to spend the time and money to fix these issues on the part of the people in charge. They are currently working on a major overhaul of the character builder that should make it possible to address a lot of these issues. Obviously this should've been done years ago, but it does seem like it's on the right track now.
