so augury shows up as an optional spell for wizards, but its not searchable via the wizards spell list.
Because it is only a wizard spell for the characters that opt in to having the extra spell lists from tasha's. It is not a wizard spell by default, only on the ones who opt in
It seems like it should be searchable on the wizards spell list, just with a note saying its optional. Tasha's did add it to the wizards spell list, albeit through an optional rule.
But tasha’s didn’t add it to the wizards spell list. Because it is optional only to individual tables. It is not a wizards spell by default. That’s the thing. It is in fact optionally on the list.
From my understanding (and I may be wrong) Dnd beyond isn’t supporting the custom lineage option. However if you look up “lineage” in the Homebrew races, people have created ones that you can add to your Homebrew collection which have the same racial options
I am trying to add protection from good and evil to my druid after purchasing TCoE, but I cannot add it. Is there a reason why the spell cant be added to my spell list?
I don't know if anyone else has posted this, but I can't access the order domain for the cleric class, it's simply not an option I can pick in the character creator. When I read about the different domains one can choose, either on pc or phone, it's there. am I missing something or is this a bug? i really wanna try playing it
Try turning on Magic the gathering content in the character builder. The Order domain first was published there. I think it's something they plan to address as some point, but for now that should fix it for you.

The spell is actually Protection from Evil and Good, which I mention only because depending on how you are searching for it, that might be your problem.
Have you turned on the optional class features for your druid? If so, did you then select additional spell list from the Options manager? See the first post of this thread for information about how to turn on and selection optional class features.
I have purchased three of the subclasses from Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, but I'm not getting any discount on the total price of it from those owned items. Other source books are showing preowned item discounts, but not Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything. Any help?
Circle of Spores druid doesn't appear as an option in the druid subclasses during character builder. Circle of Stars and Circle of Wildfire do, but Circle of Spores can't be chosen during character creation.
Be sure to check that Magic the Gatherine is check as Spore came from GGtR.
You are right that this works but, since Tasha's is considered "core", you shouldn't need to select MTG content for it to show up as an option.

Yes. They’re working on that.

I've read the original post and I know that it says that custom lineage is usable via the homebrew tools but I'm posting in here in hopes that they will make it a standard character race option outside of homebrew. While I know how to create my own homebrew content, it's inconvenient to try and create a separate homebrew race each time that I want to use a racial feat from Xanathar. I understand the gripes involved with a DM not allowing homebrew content and just waiving away the custom lineage option and again I'm just hoping that one more post can make the difference between it being added or not.
Also ihas anyone has seen any news regarding it being implemented in the future? I'm hoping not to have to read through all 46 of the current pages of this post. Thank you in advance.
In the character creator, it says you can "Unlock all official options in the Marketplace or create them for Homebrew Subclasses." How do you create new optional class features in homebrew?

Hey y'all, I'm Okashido and I'm super into D&D. I like making characters(to the point where I have a doc about 100 pages long filled with character ideas.), am an aspiring actor in college, and also consider myself a storyteller and actor at the table. I enjoy making characters with backstories and watching them play off of other people. I roll with the punches and am a great Improviser. I can DM, but think my strengths lay in being a Player most. Hope we can all have fun and maybe play some games.
My Arcane Trickster doesn't have access to the expanded Wizard spell list spells from the PHB like Augury and Enhance Ability, and her Ritual Caster (Wizard) feat doesn't have access to the expanded list of Wizard ritual spells.
As a general way to deal with the problem, maybe in the Character Builder HOME | Optional Features selection you could add a sub-toggle of "Optional Class Features" specifically for "Optional Expanded Class Spell Lists" or such? In order to cover all the general edge cases where PCs can choose spells from a different class's spell list.
I think there is some question about whether or not the expanded wizard spell list applies to non wizard subclasses using the wizard list. RAW I would say it does not.
That's a fair point; I hope WotC clarifies the matter. I still wonder about the feats, but if the Additional Spells featured aren't being implemented by expanding the class spell lists, then it makes sense. (I suppose if our DM decides to gives subclass & feat access to those Additional Spells then we can copy-homebrew to add those spells to the class lists...)
But it might still be useful to have a toggle for "optional expanded class spell lists" anyway, for no other reason than covering access to the spells that are newly-introduced in Tasha's which are optional additions to class spell lists.

Hello all, I'm working on some homebrew using the new Replacement racial trait feature. When making a new version of a homebrew or vanilla race, the replacement racial trait are deleted, making me have to add them all over again for each new version.
Hi there. The new Stat block for the new steel defender isn't available yet. The current one still have stuff like Might of the master and none of the PB notations. Could we please get an update to that (monster) stat block?
Tasha's is being shared with my group and I. Though we can customize origins we can not choose any of the new subclasses or optional features. I have all content enabled as well.
On a character sheet, there is no way to add a Battlesmith Defender into Extras -- when you select it, it tries to get you to add another creature as the placeholder for stats rather than putting in the stats for the Battlesmith Defender
Can't choose College of Eloquence as a subclass altought I have Tasha's. Also the feat that gives you a fighting style is bugged, doesn't show any otions.

Under Sidekicks, and spellcasting focus, the naming of the wisdom based spellcaster is inconsistent with the table above.
The table calls them Healers, the Focus paragraph calls them priests.
But tasha’s didn’t add it to the wizards spell list. Because it is optional only to individual tables. It is not a wizards spell by default. That’s the thing. It is in fact optionally on the list.
If they could possibly add an option to the spell page to filter for optional spells, that'd work, I think.
