My first character was (is. I’m still playing him) a half elf sage draconic sorcerer named Folas Caifern. His father’s side of the family traces their ancestry to an ancient red dragon, so he grew up with more control over his powers than most sorcerers because his family has been doing that for a long time. His father was also a high ranking military officer in his country, and very well known. However, there was a war between the neighboring country of humans. This led to his home city being sacked, and his immediate family killed in the process. So, he was on the run for 6 years before meeting the adventuring party he is currently in.
Also, over the course of the campaign so far, he has gained the ability to plane shift at will because of a caifern amulet/heirloom that got implanted into his chest. It also gives me advantage on charisma with elves. And, he jumped through reality and his body is now sand, every bit of which he can control. I have a walk speed AND FLIGHT SPEED of 60.
Fun fact, the Caifern coat of arms is actually my profile picture.

When I saw what you had bolded, I thought you were going to ask how one jumps through reality. I guess not.

Paladin main who spends most of his D&D time worldbuilding or DMing, not Paladin-ing.

Mine was a barbarian Minotaur lvl8 that had a meal with an evil vampire and ended up grappling the vampire and jumping off his castle into a ravine right under/next to the castle, killing the vampire and my Minotaur survived with 1hp literally.
Just decided to sign up ten days ago, so haven't play all of my characters:D
But I did make my very first character after getting introduced to critical role about two or three years ago and she's not the one I'm using right now. She's an half elf, an outcast, was an orphaned kid and maybe had fallen in love with a demon lol I don't know what I was thinking. Before called by many adventure, she lived with an old sorceress who taught her few things, something she'd never forget. I don't play as her because... I forgot her name. I wish I wrote it somewhere... Choosing new name to replace the forgotten one would be different. I just can't do that.
A Wood-Elf Ranger named Akatosh. He was 18 when he began adventuring with his 2 older brothers, Corum and Dreb. The 3 eventually were tasked with retrieving an infant that was prophecied to become a devastating Warlord. However, they failed to retrieve the child and were transported to a different world where they had to fight said Warlord along with his vampiric Empress. Akatosh also fell in love with one of the party NPCs, Tiana, a Golden Dragon in disguise who also fell in love with him. However, once the warlord and empress were defeated, Akatosh changed. He was no longer his upbeat and heroic self. He disappeared into the wilderness and became a solo-act vampire hunter. The horrors of the vampire wars still plagued his memory. 300 years later he returned to hunt down and kill the Warlord's son, who lead a new army. Akatosh, along with a new adventuring party killed the Emperor and saved the world. Akatosh continued to hunt vampires, except this time he was much more upbeat, and heroic, with a ton of more wisdom. He made it to level 13.

Half Elf Illusionist/druid.
Retired him to look for a Crystal Dragon for an ally, mount and friend.
