So, about two years ago, I snagged a bunch of "magic words" from literature and film that were fairly well known and then tangled them all together and it is used as an example of what people hear when magical types are casting spells.
Turns out it can be fun to chant them, lol.

I could be wrong - but I think they were piling onto the Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner of the X-Men) reference...
Post 10 mentioned - Bamf!, I replied citing my favorites especially if the bamf! is in relation to a blue, fuzzy, elf (which Nightcrawler is often described as) in Post 11, then in Post 12 they asked if the elf has a tail (which Nightcrawler does), then in post 14 - the Excalibur reference could be - if they were following along - is a reference to how Nightcrawler was once the leader of the England team of heroes called Excalibur.
Yeah, I am well familiar with Excalibur (both previous and current) from X-men, but also from the Boorman film Excalibur, and the now immortal Charm of Making from Nigel’s astounding Merlin.
I might be willing to confess that Rachel is one of the gals who yanked me out, lol.
