Well yeah, I imagine people are throwing the proverbial shit on the wall and from time to time something will stick so it doesn't surprise me that someone made a theory like that.
I still think
Nott being a halfling in a goblin body with a kid and a husband
OK, Matt's going to throw a gorgon at them. That's pretty soft for a party of six level 11 players. Do you think it will be a particularly strong gorgon or that it will have support? Or maybe the tension will be to fight it off while leading it away from the statues to prevent them from being destroyed?
At some point monsters in the MM are more guidelines than actual material because you want to avoid your players thinking "pff, only a gorgon? I was flipping through MM recently and I remember that we can take that shit half asleep" :D
You can't really avoid your players flipping through MM esp. when some of them are also DMing for others (like Liam for his kids).
Matt often takes the MM entry and changes things to make enhanced versions or as a base for something new. This can allow lower CR creatures be used as real challenges for higher level encounters so the DM can focus more on the theme of the monster rather it's CR. Plus, as Lathlaer points out: it keeps the player's surprised even if they've looked through the MM.

Yeah, my players were caught a bit unaware when they went to fight a White Dragon and they found out it was an Albino Red Dragon, and their cold resist prep wasn't that useful.
At the break. I hope that now that Nott is Veth again that she stays home. It would be nice to see a character get a happy ending.
I think she will, but after Travelercon. Especially with the comment by...
Yeza saying to the group that she wasn't his and he had never "lent" Veth to them. I think it's Matt giving clues to Sam that if he wants Veth to continue adventuring both Yeza and Luc would be not only ok with it, but might encourage it.

All in all it was a fantastic episode!
Does anyone else kind of want to see Yeza and Luc become more recurring/support NPCs for the party? Yeza is an alchemist, so Matt could play with the artificer class when needed, and I could see Luc becoming a new apprentice to Caleb or possibly a squire for Fjord.

takes the 1st place but that one was a close 2nd.
Spoiler for the end of Episode 95

"Not all those who wander are lost"
He did say it was
More than a Gorgon. A Morgon if you will.
She/Her College Student Player and Dungeon Master
ok now I'm curious how this goes down :)

I'm watching Talks Machina right now, and that happened right before I read this.

It was
a legendary gorgon!

Oh man sometimes it's hard to watch Taliesin when it doesn't go their way. He wears everything on his face and looks like he isn't having fun.

Sometimes I wish I could watch them live but the time zone difference is brutal :(

Can someone point me what was this about Fjord and fish market? It seemed like a recurring reference to a gag I might've missed or forgotten ;-)
I think it was when they first encountered the wizard's tower he went off on his own to a fish market and missed out on something.
