I am exceedingly irritated with the new DnD Beyond app. The previous reader had the ability (in android) to set the download location to either internal storage or the SD card. The new app seems to only be able to view where the data is stored, and cannot set it's own download location. Considering the limited amount of space in many smaller tablets this is a massive issue.
Please, please, please address this and enable devices with limited internal storage to put the book content on the external SD card storage!
The app stores the downloaded books to the same place as the app. If you put the app to SD card, it will download everything to SD.
I have the D&D Beyond app and the downloaded books on my SD card. My phone is Android (Samsung Galaxy A50).
You're literally asking them to replicate a function your phone already provides.

But I am unable to move the installed app to my SD card, so I cannot do as you suggest. Neither my Samsung Galaxy M31, running Android 11, or my Huawei MediaPad M5 tablet, running Android 9, give me that option. Also formatting SD cards as internal storage is similarly locked out.
The reader did allow saving the downloaded book content to the SD card, and in another thread I saw this is being worked on, as I am not alone in having this issue. So I look forward to refownloading the app once this is resolved.
I just went into app storage settings and chose export to SD. It then moved the app to my SD along with all the downloaded books. I have gone and checked various Samsung Galaxy models and they all have this. It's common for most smartphones - so the option is there, you just haven't found it.
Maybe this will help.

This is not the case for all mobile devices, many of us have moved the app to the SD card and the books continue to use the internal storage.
@Psychman; The dev team are looking into it fixing the issue with the storage, however it may take some time as it's a complex issue:

Just tested again with my M31, and indeed, transferring is not an option available.
I saw the other thread, SurrenStarr, so know it is being worked on. So yep, I am in for a wait on this. But thanks.
