I’m wondering how this works and if it’s worth it. I have a pretty consistent group and we were thinking of purchasing the handbook and a master’s tier subscription. Would that allow everyone access to the handbook without needing individual subscriptions for everyone https://routerlogin.uno/?
Yeah, it's a pretty cool deal. As long as one person has the subscription, you can share books with each other in a campaign. As long as they have a character sheet sitting in the campaign with content sharing turned on, they will be able to access all the books and character sheet options.

Master subscription tier is usually a good choice if you want to get things for a group. However, how worth it it is depends heavily on what you are using it for. If you have a large number of players and a large number of books, then it is usually worth it. However, with small numbers of players and books, it might not be.
For example, you specifically mentioned getting the player's handbook. With for example 5 players, it would cost $150 to get a copy for everyone. Master tier costs $26 per year so it would take about 6 years for the investment on the player's handbook to cost less than the master tier. Most campaigns aren't going to last that long, so even if you only wanted to buy one book, master tier is most likely worth it. If you have a long term campaign with only a few people it might be cheaper to buy PHB for everyone, but its usually cheaper to get Master tier.
That being said, if you're playing in person you can always buy a physical copy and just bring it for everyone to share, so the real question would be is it worth spending $26 a year to be able to use the book on the D&D beyond character builder. I would still say its worth it, but that just depends on how important the character builder is to you.
CORRECTION: It appears I cannot read I and mistook the price. The price is actually $56 per year, which changes the calculations. With a large number of books it is still almost certainly worthwhile. However, redoing the calculations for just PHB with the correct price, it only takes three years for master tier to be more expensive that just buying 5 copies of the book, and if you have less players its even fewer players. So unless you think you campaign will end quickly, its probably not worth getting the master tier subscription for only one book. If you plan to get more books in the future, go ahead. If you only want to get one book however, its likely more expensive to get the master tier than just buying PHBs for everyone.
Would that allow everyone access to the handbook without needing individual subscriptions for everyone?
Yes, master tier will let share any number of books with your group. Its up to 5 campaigns of up to 12 people in each, for a theoretical maximum of 60 people to share with. It gives complete access to any books you own to people in your campaigns.

You only need one person to be Master tier to share their content, they can share up to five campaigns.

It actually was higher a few years ago I believe.
Master tier really enhances my players games. Many of them cannot afford a lot of digital source books so I provide them.
I had a girl that got Xanthers for Christmas and was all excited. She brought the book to our session and asked if she could play a class out of it.
I had been restricting my players to PHB races and classes so I made a decision and purchase my first add on after PHB and DMG.
I still encourage players to have the bound version if they can afford it.
Just be cautious about getting into bed with a bunch of other people when it comes to buying something that ultimately only one person can own.
