I have been discussing a little with a friend and noone of us can find definate answer to this, so I ask here. Before I go into it, let me say that the game macanichs (time to consume and HP gained) would still be the same. This would only be for flavour when playing. My friend play as a druid and has the goodberry spell. Instead of giving people berries, be would like to have baked something with them and insterad handing out cupcakes or something like that. Only to give flavour, and hopefully that the other players will not have a clue what those magic cupcakes are. If baking would not work, then the herbalist kit to make goodberry juice or something for a really weak healing potion.
The healing effect would of course not last any longer then the healing effect for when the goodberry spell was cast.
It sounds like you're only changing flavor/fluff. If that's the case it's probably okay, but you might get some table variation.
OOC you should probably still say that you are casting goodberry so as to not confuse the DM and slow down the table. Once that is clear, how you describe your goodberries doesn't much matter. This will go a long way in reducing table variation.
As long as you are only changing fluff and not mechanics then there shouldn't be any problem. However, they would have to be small cupcakes so you could eat them in the same time as a goodberry and also carry the same number.
I know a player who plays a mystical fortune teller character and fluffs all of their spells and special abilities as foretelling or curses and similar descriptions but it is still cutting words and other cantrips (they play some multiclass mechanically but it is hard to tell which one based on the descriptions :) ). However, since it is all description and fluff that doesn't affect the mechanics in any way, there is nothing wrong with it from an AL perspective.
I played a druid with proficiency with cooking utensils and would make detailed meals for the party as we traveled. I would routinely cast Goodberry and then got in the habit of any time I had any left a the end of the day that lost their potency I would incorporate them into the food somehow. No longer did the healing/nourishment but was fun to have biscuits with goodberry compote. :)
Cast Goodberry on a banana and make banana-bread cupcakes. Two things that may mess this up would be you no longer need the berries themselves and you up have to mash them up. Looks like everything is up to the GM on it. I would not because it opens up a lot of players whining about it and there is the chance something that gives an advantage comes into play.

Hello,
I have been discussing a little with a friend and noone of us can find definate answer to this, so I ask here. Would this work in AL or not?
That would require a house rule. Totally reasonable for what you want, but not in Adventure League.

As long as your not changing mechanics, then you can do it.
A fool pulls the leaves. A brute chops the trunk. A sage digs the roots.
My Improved Lineage System
Cupcakes only in the case you wanna show it as a gift, or a present to anyone else ( IMO ).
Juices are best fitted if you have to travel, or just drink them while in the midst of a BATTLE, and you have an extra action available to do it.
My Ready-to-rock&roll chars:
Dertinus Tristany // Amilcar Barca // Vicenç Sacrarius // Oriol Deulofeu // Grovtuk
