Fun Fact: i gain more power the more you post on my forum threads. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
the Green hag. It has the wickedness and deal making powers of a devil (like all fey of course) as well as no obligation to follow any sort of law whatsoever. (Also Fey for the most part, besides some of the fey rules)
and also, they are just super creepy! You never know what’s in store when you meet them.
here’s a paraphrased version of what my friend on the forums made as a fun lil’ idea for hags.
the kind old green hag invites the adventurers into her cottage. Seeing they are tired and weary, she asks if they would like any drinks.
”i have ale, tea, wine, coffee, spiders, champagne, just plain water-“
”spiders?” The party asks, shocked.
”spiders it is!”
”wait no-“
but she was already pouring them a brimming glass of spiders
While considered one of the least of the demon lords, Juiblex influence is widespread but rarely impactful or obvious. Shapeless and formless, Juiblex seems to just mind its own business on their own pocket of the Abyss, without ambition or cunning, but "the Faceless Lord' is most likely the most patient one, biding its time until it can claim dominion over the multi-verse as entropy escalates.
They aren't strong alone but truly I say, never laugh at a kobold that knows how to cast fireball. Quote me on that. Yeah, so kobolds in my world are the cleverest creatures ever. Being able to make my level 4 players scream in terror if even a small group approach. Of course, then they get caught in the trap the kobolds set up but oh well. I 2 kobold homebrews such as a kobold sorcerer (The guy that casts fireball), and a kobold artificer.

Hi all, I'm Druid_Girl31, but please call me Druid. I am (a/an) CERTIFIED INSOMNIAC, PAN, alterhuman,BADDD DM, and obsessed with HAMILTON! Why? I'm just cool like that!
My favorite is probably the chain devil. I like fiends and I think it captures the kind of fiend from the Exorcist film better than any of the other fiends. The unnerving mask ability lets you do things like take the form of a dead loved one and claim they are suffering in hell. They can also take the form of a chained up person and use their control of chains as a kind of telekinesis reminiscent of demonic possessions in horror. It' used pretty well in this way as part of Waterdeep: Dragon heist.

Is probably one of my favorite demon lords Juiblex. I tend to want to run him as a kind of grey goo scenario that just expands and consumes. With the stat block being a manifestation that can appear within the ooze. An eldritch mind behind the seemingly mindless consumption.
He is in a tie with Graz'zt for me who I really like as a kind of Slaanesh stand in for dnd. Though I tend to alter Graz'zt stat block a bit.
I really like to play lich or demilich. Because of the versatility and their resistances. I like that on the edge of your seat feeling and to invite the players to play coördinated. Arcanoloth is also a good one :)

I love using the Yuan-ti, but for the design of a monster I love the Astral Dreadnaught.

All my home brews ... lair skills whatever their environment (its their lair) ... legendary skills... legendary actions ... cast and melee same round ... no 5' rule ... fly on demand .. misty step on demand .. basically every players worst nightmare. Usually not all of the above ... but at least a few lol!

I think for a good campaign a min flayer is the best monster because you can make all the fighters rethink there entire ability placement.
this happened to one of my fighters who spent the entire siege of a squiggling ship on the ground unconscious.
My favorite has to be Aboleth. The design is neat and there's so much lore to these things!
