I joined this thread hoping for some advice or pointers from a Veteran DM. I am a new DM and am learning as I go while looking to resources out there on how other DMs approached things. It never hurts to hear others onions and experiences as long as you don't take it as gospel.
For example, trying to balance homebrew encounters based on the rules in the book is not an easy task. Sometimes it's too easy, sometimes too deadly. Not to mention the fact that it changes based on how every DM levels and awards items to the party. But getting feedback to specific things in hopes to make an educated decision is far from having my hand held and walkeded through running the game.
Hello! I hope this is still active, I would love to join! I've been playing for almost a year in an adventurers league and am about to run a one shot for 3 of my friends but I'd love to run games in our league
I'm not completely new, but I've been DMing for maybe 4 months. I would appreciate help greatly and I am eager to learn. Would it be possible for me to join?
Is this still available? I have 4-5 dedicated players but can't find a decent DM... Which means I should probably just do it myself.
I'm laid off right now so I don't have the finances to buy books or a bunch of online content. Are there resources I can use without brraking the piggy-bank?
@RPGRock this group isn't what you're looking for. I tried for a couple weeks, and even messaged a few mods, but it felt like I got lost in the mix of a huge Discord server. Instead, I recommend reading the DM guide and asking questions in these forums.
I'm kind of interested because I respect that i have a lot to learn as one of my school's jr Dms (we have a really cool dnd club where a teacher runs "how to dm" and helps older kids dm their own campaigns as Jr DMs), though I'd really like some more information to know what I'd be getting myself into

Depending on when sessions are, I’d be game.
