I've got a D&D group at my school and I run approximately six 8th grade students once or twice a month (over Google Meet currently). They just hit level 12 as we finished the second "season" of our game (we started playing last school year and played through the summer). I'm running 4th edition as that's what I'm most comfortable DM'ing. We started with Madness at Gardmore Abbey (as I'd run my own gaming group through that about a year ago), ran a few one shots and small side quests from Dragon, and now I'm looking at what to run them through for our third "season."
They enjoy a mix of combat and RP, and they've come up with some good character stories and backgrounds. I'm thinking of the following, in no particular order, and am looking for feedback / suggestions:
Tomb of Horrors (the 4e version that I won but have never run; or maybe Return to the Tomb of Horrors from tne end of 2e, which I have run before)
Revenge of the Giants (4e; played in, never run)
The Sunless Citadel (3e; ran)
The Tears of Ioun (from Dragon Magazine; never ran)
The Shackled City (3e; ran)
Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil (3e; never ran)
No matter what I'll adjust them to their level and to end-of-4e monster stats, as well as drastically shortening any dungeon crawling that has to happen (while they enjoy exploration and combat, we haven't done any extended dungeon crawling and I'm not sure what reception that'll receive), but I'm looking for something a bit long form (like Madness) that can take us through the rest of the school year and into the summer.
Thanks for any suggestions or advice you can give.
