What's up! Recently I've been making weapons for my party members and I just need to adjust the Hit DC. For some reason, I wanted to change the Hit DC of a Shortsword from +8 to +6, so when I put -2 in the Bonus: Melee Attack, it changed every weapon to -2. How do I adjust the Hit DC for just one weapon without changing the others?
You mean the attack modifier? As in: “You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.”
There is no homebrew Modifier to only increase the attack bonus for weapon and not also increase the damage as well. The one that does both is
Modifier: Bonus->Subtype: Magic->Fixed Value: 1-3
PS- The term “DC” stands for “Difficulty Class.” That’s the number you need to hit, not the what gets added to the roll. Technically, the “DC” for every attack roll is the target creature’s Armor Class.

Has there been any change in the status of this feature/ability in the last year?
I would also like to homebrew a weapon that has a bonus to hit DC without changing the damage.
Thanks! 😃
Nope.
