Before you read, I will call the Pact Magic feature by the name of spell slots a lot, just because it makes it way easier to understand in my opinion.
I started playing in a Curse of Strahd Campaign recently and just some days ago multiclassed from Rogue into Warlock. As my DM is very open to Homebrew and trying out things, we decided we could implement a very cool variant adressing the lack of spell slots in Warlocks. I‘ve heard this cool idea on YouTube (forgot where exactly) that Warlocks should have spell slots equal to their proficiency bonus. That‘s what we wanted to implement. But I‘ve got two problems:
1. I have my character digitaly on dndbeyond and want to keep it that way, how can I change the Warlock system to my variant system? I‘ve tried homebrew without any success, tried it through a feat and through subclass adaptation. Also, if I found it, it should also be able to incorporate me having only one spell slot as level one Warlock and start that variation at level two (that was our agreement, I don‘t want to start with two spell slots as this would be too overpowered)
2. I want the proficiency bonus to reffer to the bonus I would have determined only by my warlock level, not my character level. This would mean my Warlock 1 / Rogue 4 would only have two spell slots, even if my characters proficiency bonus would be +3 by that point (also for balancing, I think that‘s the intention with that homebrew rule).
Do you have any idea how I could accomplish this? Do I have to go back to pen&paper to use this?
I know I could just ignore marking my third spell slot, but I want some overwiev, that‘s why I‘m using the app.
Also: what do you think of that new rule? I think it's a very cool idea
Thank you all in advance :D Have a wonderfull day, you‘re awesome!!
Also, have you played a Warlock before? You might want to try playing it with the typical features and pact slot count first. Remember that you regain those pact slots on short rests.

Yes I have played as one before, although not too long. I know they reset on a short rest :) My plan is probably only leveling my Warlock to lvl 5, so I'd just get an extra spell slots then.
But thanks for the respond, maybe it will be available once it would come up :D
If it would be tied to your Warlock level and not your total Character level then it wouldn’t be tied to your Proficiency bonus at all, but instead to your Warlock level. No, they’re never gonna change that around here. You can either play it the way you want without DDB, or play it on DDB RAW since that’s all they care about.
I know it's not technicaly tied to my Proficiency bonus, but I think you know what I mean. What is DDB RAW exactly? I think I've heard of it before, but never found out what it was...

There isn't a way to do this in DDB at this time.
Also, have you played a Warlock before? You might want to try playing it with the typical features and pact slot count first. Remember that you regain those pact slots on short rests.
