I'm building a feat that increases and ability score (CHA), but I intend it to allow the user to exceed the max (20), by the value that the feat grants.
Problem is I've done that, to the best of my knowledge in the 'Modifiers' section and I can't tell if it's not applying because it's built wrong, or if it's just taking the servers a while to ratify the change onto the character sheet I've put it on.
Change the first modifier (Bonus - Charisma Score) to Stacking Bonus - Charisma Score.
After you Save Changes, it may take up to 20 minutes for homebrew changes to percolate to character sheets. With feats, you may also need to Remove then re-Add the feat.

Thank you for the help, pal, but it seems to have worked the way I did it all the same- it just took ages to trickle through, to the character sheet. Thank you again, though!
I suggested the Stacking Bonus modifier because that's what the magic items which increase the max of an ability score (like Tome of Clear Thought) use. Bonusmight be enough, but I suggest you test whether you can level up the character and take ASIs that boost the Charisma past 20; if that doesn't work, switch to Stacking Bonus.
Note that homebrew changes may take up to 20 minutes to percolate to character sheets.

It actually takes a combination of modifier me to work properly.
“Modifier: Set->Subtype: Ability Score Maximum->Ability: X” to increase the cap for that ability from 20 to 20+X
“Modifier: Stacking Bonus” to apply a bonus actually capable of going above 20. (If you just use “Modifier: Bonus” then it will still stop at 20 even though the Max is increased. The Bonus Modifier has its own cap independent from the maximum Ability score.)
PS- Unless they changed things since I last made anything that did this.
Alright. Now, I'm currently working on an issue, which I don't know if it's due to Staking Bonus, or what, but in essense, I have a campaigns where stats get automatically boosted by 10.
When I use that method + Staking, for some reason, it grants me the +10 values to everything, and then grants them to me again because of an Item I made to boost those stats.
My bad, I actually copied the wrong thing. This is the one I was using. For some reason, the Ability Score Maximum didn't see. To want to work on it's own.

Ahh, alright. So if I want it to work a specific way, then I can set stacking as the +10 bonus, and maximum as a mean for the ASI and fewts to still increase to the new max?

That's a link to what my modifier array looks like- can anybody clarify if that is correct? Thank you, in advance!
you just set their ability score maximum to 2.

No, I didn't, it's a "bonus", explicitly- just took ages to filter through to the character sheet. All is well.

Whenever I try to set the ability score maximum, for some reason, it simple grants me the bonus to that stat.
Or am I supposed to not choose a stat when I set it?
If you use both modifiers it will raise both the max and the current score.

Right. So am I just supposed to set the maximum to the desired value? (Ex: 4) and just hope it works for all stats?
Or is there a way to do in in a funky way that also includes ASI? (Ex: Having a max of.. Str: 28, Dex: 16, Con: 22, Int: 30, Wis: 24, Cha: 26)
You have to select an Ability Score to modify each time you add the Modifier. Like this:
Modifier: Set->Subtype: Ability Score Maximum->Ability: Str->Fixed Value: 4
That👆Modifier will set the character’s Maximum Strength score to 24.
Modifier: Set->Subtype: Ability Score Maximum->Ability: Cha->Fixed Value: 6
That👆Modifier will set the character’s Maximum Charisma score to 26.

I’m not sure, what exact modifiers did you use?

“Modifier: Set->Subtype: Ability Score Maximum->Ability: CHA” to increase the cap for that ability from 20 to 20+10
For every single stat value.
That should only increase the Maximum, not the actual score itself.

That modifier will increase the score by an amount actually capable of exceeding 20. Like this:

That👆modifier will increase the character’s Charisma score by 4, even if the character’s charisma is already at 20.

No, you would increase the Max by 10 and set the Stacking Bonus to the smaller amount and then just add to that.
