Thought I was done with unsolicited (by the forum at least) homebrew subclasses in search of feedback? Never!
Here's one another friend of mine asked me to try and develop, taking from the idea of a more plagued/poisoned/rotting/bog-y Sorcerer.
Sorcerer Bogchild Origin
At some point in your family tree, some kind of bog creature left its mark, which manifested in you at a young age. A Green Hag might have charmed one of your ancestors, or a curse might have been put upon your lineage. Be it as it may, you have now manifested the outcome of this "infection".
Hag's bosom
At level 1 when you select this origin you gain the following traits:
You gain resistance to Poison damage and advantage on saving throws against poison effects and the Poisoned condition;
You are continually surrounded by a fine and hardly visible mist, making plants tend to wither near you, and, as a reaction at the end of your turn, you can inflict Poison damage equal to your CHA modifier to all hostile creatures within 5 feet of you on a failed CON saving throw (normal spell DC).
Rotten substitution
At level 6 you learn how to better use your miasmas and weave them into your spells. Spending 1 sorcery point, you can substitute part (or all) the damage inflicted by a spell with either Poison or Necrotic damage, up to a maximum of CHA x Spellslot level damage. Should the spell already deal the selected type of damage, you can instead use this metamagic feat to add your CHA modifier as that same type of damage to the total damage inflicted. This metamagic feature can be used in conjunction with any other metamagic feature.
Putrescence
Your control of the corrupting energies flowing through your veins is such that you are now able to make your miasmas affect a distant creature. At 14th level, you gain immunity to Poison damage. Additionally, as an action in your turn and spending 1 sorcery point, you can designate a creature you can see to be afflicted by the putrescence running in your bloodline. The target suffers CHA modifier Necrotic damage at the beginning of each of their turns for a number of turns equal to your CHA modifier. You can also decide to spend more sorcery points to further empower this feature, augmenting both the damage and duration by your CHA modifier for each additional sorcery point, up to your CHA modifier.
Death and Decay
You release the full horror hidden in your blood, releasing a miasma that corrupts and withers everything it comes into contact. At 18th level, as an action in your turn, you can create the same effects of the Cloudkill as if you cast it at 8th level and centered on yourself. This effect automatically benefits from your Rotten Substitution feature. Spending 1 sorcery point, you can designate up to your CHA modifier number of creatures that will not be affected by the cloud. You can use this feature once every long rest.
As you might expect, all suggestions, comments, notes and whatnot are EXTREMELY welcome :)
What is the recharge on Death and Decay? I suggest at first level resistance to poison damage and advantage on saving throws against being poisoned and then later, immunity.

Woooops, I meant to put the recharge in but forgot in the end XD Thanks for catching it. Thank you as well for the suggestion on the Poison resistance/immunity, it would actually make much more sense to have it improve with levels. I'll put the immunity as an additional feature at level 14.

When does a creature within 5 feet of you have to make a Con save? At the start of your turn? At the start of their turn? At the end of their turn? At the end of your turn? When you activate the ability as an action? When you activate the ability as a bonus action? When you activate the ability as a reaction?

Thanks Matthias, I didn't consider those variables. I think I'll put it as reaction on the Sorceror's turn. What do you think?

1. What is the max range of this? It says “any creature you can see.” So if I am looking threw a spyglass and see a creature 3 miles off. I can affect them? Most spells with line of sight still give a max range
2. By “augmenting both damaged the duration” are you saying the CHA mod as in multiplying it for each point spent? So 2 points would be CHA mod x 2 and so on?
3. Is this bouncing off of the Hag’s Bosom ability? If so you describe the ability as a “hard to see fine mist” there and a “miasma” for Putrescence. That could cause some confusion for people as the wording is different. There’s nothing about any kind of saving throw for the Putrescence ability but there is for Hag’s Bosom. If they are bouncing off each other I would clarify that in the feat. If they are separate I would suggest still having to make a CON save on the targets part and give them the ability to try and resist at the end of their turn. It could end up being broken if it’s an auto hit and damage.
Example being if I have a 5 CHA and they don’t have to make a save at all. Then I spend all 5 points that’s 25 damage for 25 turns. Given not many combats will last that long it can still be broken for a constant auto damaging effect.
