So im working on a new force based cantrip. What's everyones thoughts? Also based on the idea what save type would best fit and what range would work best?
details so far:
Name: Forcewave
School: Evo
Dmg: 1d8, scales as normal cantrips
Effect: damages on a failed save and pushed target 5 feet away from caster.
Strength should be the save, and given the name I would make it a 5-foot radius effect like, thunderwave, radiant word, and blade burst, dealing 1d6 damage with that added effect (the perfect spell to say "Get away from me")

My homebrew content: Monsters, subclasses, Magic items, Feats, spells, races, backgrounds
It's not meant to target multiple creatures, it's meant to target one, hence the range and d8 damage die.
I’ve got a couple similar published: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/homebrew/spells?filter-class=0&filter-search=&filter-sub-class=&filter-concentration=&filter-ritual=&filter-author=IamSposta&filter-author-previous=IamSposta&filter-author-symbol=102118565&filter-rating=-8) They’re down in the “Telekinetic” spells, and one called “forceful declaration.” (I went for lower damage but a 10-foot push.)

Forced movement save is typically Strength.
Personally, 60 ft seems fine.

I originally wanted it to be a 15 foot cone and a 1d6 damage but Ive read that a cantrip shouldnt have that kind of area of effect.
