Okay so this is my first post, but I'm stumped on something in the magic item editor.
I am making a magic sword (I have a Longsword and Greatsword version), and I think I've figured out how to make it +2 and change its damage type, but I am having trouble with the last feature. It's similar to several subclass features, in that you can choose to use Wisdom instead of Strength for attack and damage rolls (there is a very good lore reason for this). However, I can't seem to figure out how to make that happen in the magic item creation thingy, and I admit I am not very tech savvy. Is this even possible?
Try > modifier > melee weapon attacks > ability score > wisdom. If that affects all your weapon attacks then Idk then. If it affects that item, try finding a way to ignore > strength melee weapon attacks for that weapon. If that doesn't work then it isn't possible yet I think.
Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to create a magic item that uses a different Ability other than Str or Dex in DDB's system. The closest you could get is to make an item that allows a character to use Wis for every attack it makes with any magic weapon. What I usually do is simply put it in plain text and instruct the player to customize the weapon directly on their character sheet to reflect the correct modifier, and then remind them to adjust it whenever that Ability score changes.

Unfortunately melee weapon attack requires damage type, doesn't have an option to replace the ability score used 😕
