Hello! I'm currently in the process of inputting my DM's homebrew into a game and I'm having trouble with the "Bonus >> Hit Points" modifier. For some reason, it isn't adding to either the character builder or the sheet in any visible way. I've tested this by setting HP to rollable, 1 per each level. CON modifier calculates correctly, "Tough" registers properly, but "Bonus >> Hit Points" is neither reflective in the sheet bonuses, nor the builder, nor anywhere else. I still need to manually add it in the sheet post-creation.
I've successfully scaled "Bonus >> Speed" down to the appropriate speed (CHA level, all benefits zeroed out) by negating the speed at every level as a hidden feature, rather than using a Level Scale (which isn't working for me--again, could be user error) but the same thing with a positive value for "Hit Points" isn't working. Anyone have any advice?
The Modifier: Bonus—>Subtype: Hit Points doesn’t work.
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “(CHA level, all benefits zeroed out) by negating the speed at every level as a hidden feature, rather than using a Level Scale (which isn't working for me--again, could be user error),” but if you explain it differently I may be able to help you accomplish what you want more easily/cleanly.
If you need to add additional Hit points per level, your in luck. If it's just a one time fixed value, those are what's not working.
Modifiers: Bonus - Hit Point as IamSposta stated doesn't work Bonus - Hit Points per Level - >> works << (this is what Tough uses, so you could make a copy of Tough, rename it, set the value as needed, and have players add it under Manage on Feats if that's the application) Bonus - Temporary Hit Points - does not add Temp hit points to the character sheet either (included for clarify)
The Bonus -> Hitpoints modifier iirc is for healing spells, it's not for boosting a character's hit-point maximum. The same should be true for temporary hit points but I don't think there's currently any way to apply them automatically; you see the modifier used in armor of agathys and similar, so they might get better support if we gain the ability to apply temporary effects in future.
