I'm in the process of creating some homebrew content for my D&D campaign and could use some assistance with a few issues I've encountered. Here's what I'm working on:
Homebrew Race and Feat Integration: I've developed a custom variant race for my campaign called Uchiha Clan, which I believe adds a unique flavor to the world. Alongside this, I've created a homebrew feat called Mangekyō Sharingan that is intended to be tied to this race. However, I've run into an issue where the race doesn't appear as an option for the feat's prerequisite, and vice versa. I've also attempted to make the feat a granted ability for the race, but it doesn't show up as an option either. Any tips on how to properly integrate these elements?
Activated Feat Mechanics: The feat I've designed is intended to be an activated ability, allowing characters to toggle it on and off similar to the Blood Hunter transformation. However, I'm struggling to implement this mechanic effectively. Currently, the only way I've found to deactivate the feat's abilities is by adding or removing the feat altogether. Is there a way to implement a toggle function for feats on the character sheet?
Feedback and Balancing: I'd greatly appreciate feedback on the mechanics and balance of my homebrew content. Here's a brief overview:
